This dress fit perfectly. Was a bit difficult to zip up, and needed my 4 y.o. Son to help me, but once it was zipped and on I was in love with the color, and everything. Great professional length and just the perfect amount of v-neck to still feel respectful and beautifully feminine.

It fit really well, perhaps a bit tight around the ribcage, but not uncomfortable. I received a lot of compliments on it! I wore it twice for a Christmas party and on Christmas day.

This designer is always a tad on the snug side of any size, but I think this one was a little more so at the hip? Regardless, it's a nice weight and color and was fun to wear! Perfect for work.

Great fit. I generally wear a size 2 and thanks to other reviews, chose a size 4, which was perfect. It's a little tight in the armpits, so be sure to wear antiperspirant.

Form fitting. It was tight through the upper body and chest, surprisingly. Maybe it is just a little extra holiday weight? I usually size up for this brand with straight skirts, and I probably would for this dress if I ordered again. I may, it is very cute.

Beautifully flattering cut (princess seams), which means this dress drapes and moves with your body without any awkwardness.

The fabric is surprisingly heavy, which makes the long skirt hang beautifully. Had a slight vintage feel overall, which I liked. Note that the collar was wrinkled and didn't want to stand up straight.

I wore this dress to family photos (this snap was post). I found it to be very trim through the lower waist. I had to wear a couple of pairs of Spanx to keep my belly button from outlining. The size was fine. There was the perfect amount of room in the hips and bust. I wear a 12/14 36D. It felt like a very original dress even though the fabric and color were subdued, maybe even office appropriate if cleavage isn't an issue for you.

If you are a two that likes things to fit, the 0 won't fit without being quite tight, but the 2 is perfect

I wore this to work with a tan braided belt. It looked great - it’s beautifully made and a gorgeous color - but if you are a larger 4, I’d size up. I’m a smaller 4 right now, and I would not have wanted it any tighter for work. Also - not a ton of stretch even though it’s a knit.

A little low cut but very classic looking. Can be dressed up or down.

A great dress. Love to wear these for work. They do run small so I always go up a size. I was also an athlete so I have broader shoulders so be prepared to not have full range of motion.

I wore this dress for an all-day work event and it had comfortable fabric, a little bit of stretch, and the sweetest details - the collar! the sleeve cuffs! I normally wear a 4 and sized up to 6R based on other reviews, and I’m glad that I did. I recommend wearing a wedge or heel with it, the length hit just below my knees.

Nice piece, wore it multiple time. It does run on the small side. No stretch and quite fitted and structured, so I wouldn't call it comfortable, but it looked nice and the quality and tailoring (as usual with Black Halo) is on point.

I read reviews and went with my typical size. I have a large bust and it was tight across the chest and upper back. But fit amazing on my wider hips. Overall I loved it. V neck was too low for a conservative office but nice for a date, wedding, or less cleavage conscious offices.

Too snug all over

I don’t know why I keep renting Black Halo in the same size and thinking it will fit—no matter what style I choose they never fit! I couldn’t zip this by a LOT (at least 2 inches gap at my mid-back. Gorgeous otherwise but just couldn’t even fake wearing this one.

This dress is just a bit matronly. Try as I might I could not love it. It is very fitted through the torso, and runs about one size small. I am at four in the six fit me.

fabric thick with slight stretch, very smoothing. has a lining which helps as well. The shoulders were tight which added to not being able to zip, even with help.
