When I received this dress, I was devastated because some of the jewels were falling off. However, after I talked to the reps at RTR, they said it was ok if someone fixed the dress. Luckily, I have a great seamstress friend that had this dress in top notch shape in a few hours. This dress fit perfectly, very comfortable and "flowy", and I got compliments all night! The color looked great with my boyfriends uniform too. I posted the 2nd picture just to show the length of the dress. I am just barely 5'6", the heels I wore were about 2.5 in, and this is the 42L! It was perfect length for me, but if you are taller or plan on wearing higher heels, it may be too short for you. Overall, I am in love with this dress, and didn't want to take it off, let alone send it back!

I'm 4"11.5"' tall and a size 4 in most dress sizes. The 40R fit perfectly. I did have to tuck in the crystal strap in the back because it was a little too long. I also wore 5" heels which was really perfect. The dress was about 1/2" to 1" off the floor.

LOVED this dress. Wore it to a black tie wedding in July and it was the perfect combination of glamorous and romantic and it transitioned well from day to evening. I loved the detail on the strap - wore a bracelet and dangling earrings and it worked perfectly, no necklace needed. The fit was snug up top (but I am large chested which is why I had to wear the 40 instead of 38) and the bottom is flowy with no constricting liner. It looks pretty in pics because of the silk underlay below the chiffon. I'm 5'3"" and the R was perfect - i could have worn flats but chose to wear heels. you could see my whole foot but it was nice to show off your shoes and be able to walk easily. I would rent it again for a formal affair!

I wore this to an awards banquet and I received so many compliments. I am usually and XS and the 38R fit perfectly. I am also short and wore 5.5 in heels and it barely cleared the floor. Definitely recommend this dress.

I loved this dress for a black tie event but the beading is delicate so I'd treat it carefully. Also, I ordered a long and was glad I did -- I'm 5'5" without heels.

The length of this dress (I rented a 38R) was great without higher than 3 inch heel. I would have gotten a long had I thought of my heel height. The beading is beautiful and the mesch overlay flows very nicely. The only problem I came across was that the strap was 2 inches too long and needed to be tucked under in the back and secured with fashion tape.

I am happy with my rental of this dress, the color of the dress is beautiful, and it photographed well. The only thing is that the dress is very short! I had to wear very small heels with my dress.

I'm on the shorter side, and the length of this dress was absolutely perfect. I took my heels off halfway through the night, and it still didn't drag on the floor. The bodice is stunningly beautiful, and fit perfectly as well. I would highly recommend this dress for those with petite frames.

I rented this dress for my brother in laws wedding. I just had a baby and wasn't sure what size I would be but the 42 fit perfectly. Even better it was the perfect length so I could wear flats for this outdoor wedding. No getting stuck in the grass for me! I was getting compliments all night on the dress. It truly was gorgeous!

This dress was perfect for my senior prom! The 38 fits just like a usual size 2 dress, and worked well on my petite, small-busted frame. The regular length fell an inch or two above the floor without shoes on, just enough room so that I wouldn't step on the dress while dancing, which was nice. I was also able to wear 2 inch heels with it and it still looked great.

I'm 5'5 and the 4R was too short for me, but the dress is pretty.

This dress is so beautiful but it does run short. I ordered the 38R because they didn't have a 38L and I was afraid the 40L would be too big in the waste (I am 113 pounds, and about 5'4). It was too short for me to wear with heels but I wore flats and the dress still touched the ground. It also fit perfectly around the waste. It was perfect for a formal and I loved the color!

i loved this dress. it was the perfect size and fit. if you are taller than 5'4 i would probably suggest the long because the regular just fit me and i'm 5'1.5.

I rented this dress for a Black Tie event in NYC, and it was perfect! The 42L fit great, I'm 5'5" and the long size was a great length with 2-3 inch heels. It definitely runs short! The only problem is that it came with two of the sequins broken, however, I got them fixed and Rent The Runway paid for it. The event was great and I got tons of compliments!

I rented this for a military ball, however I was unable to wear it. I am only 5'3 but this dress came up almost to my ankles. It is super short and fit just a bit snug. I rented a 38R (2R) which is my normal dress size. I definitely suggest getting the longer length no matter how short you are, especially if you plan on wearing heels. I ended up renting a different RTR dress in the same size and it fit perfectly with length to spare. The color of this dress is stunning in person and the gems are adorable on the dress, some have a copper hue to them and are very trendy. I wish I could have worn it for the event.

Flattering fit! Pretty dress! Only thing was it looked a little worn.

This dress is gorgeous. This makes people gasp when they see it. However, on my 5'6" frame (with a booty), the $$R was so short it showed my ankles and the 44L was fairly short as well. What was odd was the the top half fit better on the 44R. The 44L was too loose in the bust and the seam coming down from the back zipper formed almost a little bit of a "ski jump" at the top of my butt. Also, one of the sewn-in cups must've become folded up during shipping because I had to try to unfold it and smooth it out without messing up the beautiful detail on the bodice.

The dress was way to short, came above my ankles, couldn't even try to wear it. The top part was really nice though.

This dress was beautiful in person but unfortunately it was way too short for my 5'9'' body. I ordered the 42L which fit well but was too short and the 44L as backup but even the larger size was a good inch off of the floor in my bare feet. I had to return.

The dress was way to short and very small. I'm 5'5 and 155lbs and usually a size 40 or 42.

Not a great fit for ANYONE who would consider herself tall. I had both the 44 and 42 (both in Long) and they were 3-5inches too short. I even attempted it with flats and my ankles still showed. Unfortunate, because the bodice fit was perfect in the 42, and the dress is as stunning in person as the pictures indicate.

Beautiful dress but it was way too short, I couldnt even wear it. It was an awkward fit with my bust size too.
