I couldn't have chosen a more perfect dress to wear to a friends wedding which was on a Sunday late in April. It was so comfortable however there are a few things to know before selecting your size. This dress is very large in the back and bust area. I am a size 36B and ordered a size 46 which is the same as a size 8. There were no others sizes for me to order as my secondary size so I only had the option of the 46 so I crossed my fingers and got lucky. Ladies you will need a super super padded bra with this dress and maybe a pin in the back to keep it from slouching down. If you can get 2 dresses at the same time, tough to do because this dress is always rented out, get it in 1 and 2 sizes smaller than what you normally wear. Also, have a can of static cling or hairspray because it kind of gets stuck to your hose. Other than that I adored this dress. A simple black heel looks great with it too, perhaps a peep toe!!

Rented this dress to wear for my birthday date with my hubby (had just returned from Afghanistan). I rented both the 42 and 44 based on reviews, and the 42 fit much better. It was so comfortable, came to just below my kneecaps (I'm kinda short) and flattered my pear shape. After reading reviews about the bust being so large, I did wear a pushup bra underneath. For me, personally, I have a very small bust, so the only complaint was that I had to keep pulling at the top so the little bow on the front of my bra didn't show. I didn't really mind though, because the dress was gorgeous. Not only did my husband's jaw drop when he saw me come downstairs, but several strangers complimented me on the dress that night! Can't wait to rent more dresses!

The dress fit very well in the bust for me- I have a smaller chest, so it worked out well. I would imagine people who are more busty may want to consider fashion tape. Pros-adorable little black dress perfect for my company's Christmas party! Cons-I didn't have any, it worked out very well :)

I loved this dress. The only issue I had was it was a little large in the bust and so I had to tie the back in a bow above the dress. Not on my neckline but the bow is supposed to be on the lower back and I tied it above the zipper. It was a great dancing dress. Co-workers were coming up to me and telling me I looked so pretty and hot. It was great! Exactly what I needed for myself. I definitely recommend this dress for a fun party or wedding. It was awesome!!!

I wore this dress to a friend's wedding and it was a lot of fun to dance in. It was very flattering and the fit is pretty free below the empire waist. The zipper is a little hard to get up, because there are so many layers of fabric. The bust was big on me but a padded strapless bra made it workable, though if it came a size smaller it probably would have been perfect. I'd recommend some static guard or a dryer sheet if you rent this one, the lining of the skirt got really static-y and I had to keep an eye on it to make sure it was lying smooth (though that could be because I was doing a lot of dancing). Overall, I would rent this dress again

I'm small up top with narrow shoulders so I had to pin and tuck in the straps so they wouldn't slide off.

Two of my closest friends got married, and the bride asked me to be her bridesmaid. She's not particularly traditional, so for dresses she told us that we could wear a black dress of our choice. This dress was absolutely PERFECT! It was just formal enough to make me standout as a member of the bridal party, but also flowy and casual enough for her outdoor wedding. It fit like a glove, with room to dance. I got a ton of compliments. I was sad when the wedding was over because it meant I had to give the dress back. I really only have two suggestions for those looking to rent this dress. First, be wary of the zipper. It kept getting stuck at one point close to the top; I had three of the bridesmaids at one point trying to help because they were worried about tearing the zipper off the dress. Second, if you're small-chested, fashion tape is the way to go! You can tell it gives leeway for any chest size, but if you're small like me, it leaves you a little bit out there. Rent the Runway, you are AWESOME! Will be renting again!

This dress made my body look AMAZING! Super cute and I got tons of compliments. Only thing is if your busty, if can show a lot of cleavage but it was alright for the event I went to.

I love this dress - it is light, girly and gives a beautiful shape. This is perfect if you don't want a form fitting dress for your booty or your tummy (I am 10 months post baby). I rented the 42 and the 44 - the 44 was huge when it came to the length of the sholder straps (they are not adjustable). The 42 was perfect - especially in the bust. Really easy to dress up with silver jewlery or shoes. Great dress.

The dress runs a little large, but overall is so comfortable and a very flattering. I received so many compliments on how great it looked and actually had a young woman run up to me from across the room just to say how much she loved it!

I ordered this dress for my fiance's cousin's wedding. It came the day before and I ordered both the 42 and the 40. I tried the smaller one on first and it fit but was snug. I tried the larger one and it was MUCH more comfortable! We had a great time at the wedding and I received so many compliments on my classy LBD :)

This dress was extremely flattering. I have a small chest (34) but bigger hips (37) and it was really nice. The dress was a bit snug on top but looked really good for our company's christmas party. I want to buy it!

This was a very fun dress for a low-key black tie charity dinner. I usually wear a 10, but wore the 44 and felt like I might have been better off in the 42. The fit is very flattering if your hips aren't perfect and the structure at the sides of the waist gives you a very nice figure without binding across the belly. One drawback: I'm 5'9" and felt like the shoulder straps were about an inch too long, so the bustline ran lower than a natural fit and didn't help support the strapless bra. Thank goodness for good tape.

I am a ballroom dancer. This dress fits beautifully and the skirt moves gracefully. It is comfortable, the straps stay in place and it can be worn without a bra. I have rented it twice.

Beautiful dress! Material is very flowy and light, and the cut is super flattering. It is absolutely the epitome of its name. A cute take on the LBD! Runs a tiny bit large, but overall true to size.

This dress is so cute! I'm 5-2" and about 108 pounds. I tried the 40 and 42, and both sizes were way too big on me. I was really disappointed that I couldn't wear this dress out. The layered skirt gives the dress flirty movement, and the straps give some nice heft and structure for a larger bust.

Rented this dress in both 10 and 12, mostly to accommodate my hips. The 12 was too big in the bust and shoulders, but the 10 fit like a glove everywhere. Truly flatterly lines, very feminine feel. I'd rent it again.

I loved this dress. It fit really well in the waist and bust area and I liked how it flowed out on the bottom. The only problem was the straps were SUPER long. I had to temporarily hook them together in the back so it did not fall down! Thankfully I have long hair so this didn't cause any problem with how the dress looked

First off, this dress is perfect if you're going somewhere that you want to eat a lot - the empire waistline won't show any bumps or stomach and you can chow down as much as you want. I did not need Spanx at all. The fit is also very flattering, and the dress overall is very cute. The only thing I didn't like is when I wore a coat over it, without the top (and just seeing the bottom portion of the dress), it does look a bit frumpy. Keep that in mind if you'll be wearing this in cooler weather with some sort of jacket. The bust does run a bit large, but not so large that you'll need fashion tape - just a minor annoyance on an otherwise very nice dress.

The dress fit perfectly everywhere except the bust. It was too big and fashion tape didn't work. I had to wear my backup choice, which was great! It may have been better if I had a smaller size.

I wore this dress for a party and I really liked it. It is very low cut however so make sure you are comfortable with showing some cleavage.

My first RTR experience, I rented this dress for a formal NYE event. I rented both size 40 and 42 but the 40 fit much better. The chest was still a bit big but nothing a padded strapless bra couldn't fix. One odd thing was that the 40 dress didn't have the shown sash. I thought I could take the one off the 42 dress but it's actually sewn into the sides of the dress. The dress is very flattering on top but I had to wear Spanx to cinch in my mid-section. I received many compliments on the dress throughout the evening!

I rented this dress for my law school formal, but the 46 didn't fit well (straps too long, top too big, hit at an unflattering length below the knee) so I ended up wearing my backup dress. The dress I received was a little beat up, but the material is nice and light, the dress is super comfortable, and the ruching detail is really pretty.

this dress looked and felt very rich, but i went with the sizing chart guidelines i'm usually a 10 or 12, the sizing chats indicated that s/b a size 48 and 50. that seemed large to me me so i actually ordered a 46 and 48 and both sizes were still too big. i believe the 42 or 44 would have been correct for me.

Wish I would have called within 24 hours. Rented 2 dresses one for rehearsal dinner one for wedding. This dress did not fit at all. I wear a 34 DD and the top was still way too big. Other dress was perfect!

Although I did not wear this due to the correct size being damaged, I was struck by how if you are full chested that this dress is very low cut in the front and over emphasized the cleavage to the point of being difficult to wear it to a professional event. I was surprised because I had rented other Blugirl dresses and this was never a problem. I would advise caution with this dress if you are full chested.
