Perfect fit and length for 5'5'' 125lbs. Really loved wearing it, very light and elegant!

This gown is a great fit! The dark and light blue colors make it a great winter to spring/summer transition style. It fits true to size, but I'd recommend sizing up for your free backup if you're more curvy and down if you're smaller framed. The 2 fit me well, but I'd like to see how the 0 fit in the bust area. As well, a long-length would have fit better since I'm 5'7" and definitely would wear heels with this gown. It is slightly padded with a built in bra, which is nice! The back is completely lace so you cannot wear a standard bra with this style. I'd recommend pairing this gown with statement earrings!

I rented this dress for a black tie wedding and it was perfect! I got compliments all night on the dress. The pleats in the skirt add a lot more fabric and people said when I turned on the dance floor the skirt would open up and it was beautiful. I ordered a 6 and an 8 as my back up size. The 6 fit but I went with the 8 -- there's a band along the waist and the 8 allowed for a little more breathing room, I wanted to be comfortable so that's why I sized up. Dress is a little long, just have to pick up the fabric when walking up/down stairs, other than that it was fine! Highly recommend this dress

This dress was great! Very comfortable, well fitting and you can wear a regular bra. I got the long and wore 3" heels and the length was perfect. The dress hit at my natural waist and was interesting but still still conservative. The lace portions of the dress are not very see through. I absolutely recommend this dress!

I actually ended up not wearing this dress to the wedding I was going to, but wished I had another occasion to wear this! I'm wearing a 0R in the picture and felt that it was pretty true to size. Maybe a little tight in the arms, but a great fit nonetheless. I didn't end up trying the 2 on because I had already decided not to wear it, but I feel like it would have been a great fit too!

Pictures do not do this dress justice! I am so happy I saw this dress in a BCBG store or I would not have ordered it. I received a handful of compliments before we even left the hotel for the wedding. The dress was so comfortable. I typically would wear a long length but the dress runs long. I wore 3 ¾” heels and the thought the regular length looked fine. Don’t let this dress fool you, it does have a little bit of “sexy” to it - lace back, lace cut outs in the front and nude lining in the bottom stops mid-thigh! I have an athletic build but think this dress would look great on any shape and size!

I wore this dress for my senior prom and I got compliments all night about how unique and beautiful it was. The colors are beautiful and there are so many details that make this dress unforgettable. The dress fits true to size and is great for dancing in since the bottom is so flows and the top is supportive. I would definitely recommend this dress!

The length was perfect, and the fit in the bust was so snug for those larger endowed that I didn't even have to wear a bra - almost unheard of! I felt comfortable all night, and the sheer portions were the right placement and amount of skin so they were flattering.

Wow this dress was gorgeous! I wore this for a "formal attire- black tie optional" wedding in St. Augustine, FL. I cannot believe how many compliments I received. I paired the dress with the "Ella Carter Reagan Earrings" for $5 rental and they gave the dress the perfect pop for a formal touch. The 4R fit like a glove (I got the 6 as a backup based on other reviews) However, it was entirely too long for my 5'1 self but I couldn't resist wearing it anyway. I wore my tallest nude heels but still had to protect the bottom from others stepping on it. The compliments are still rolling in. I just love how the light blue accent made my waist look so tiny. I will say i felt like the nude lining underneath was a little too short as I noticed it hiking up a little so caution on that one. It was also quite visible in the sunlight. Bottom line-- I loved it and loved the compliments I received even more! My only wish is for it to come in a size SHORT! Either way I would highly recommend!!!!

I received so many compliments on this dress! A few people even told me I should probably just buy it (wish I could!). I am 5'5 and the wore an 8R -- the dress was on the shorter side, most of my heels were too high to wear with the dress. Just beautiful though.

The dress fit well and was very comfortable. It was a tiny bit longer than I would have worn it had it been my own but it was not a problem at all. Absolutely loved the dress and would highly recommend it to anyone interested.

I loved this dress more than I thought I would - I wish I took a better picture wearing it, especially of the back. The dress is so gorgeous in person, and stood out at the black tie wedding I attended. I'm a D cup rarely get to go without a bra, but this dress allowed me to do so! The lining under the skirt was mid-thigh length, so it wasn't too stuffy. One of the most comfortable dresses I have ever worn, by far. The sheer fabric over top is so flowy, and the pleats make it move so beautifully when you walk. I absolutely recommend this dress!

I'm short, so the dress was a bit too long. But, with the right heals it was perfect for the occasion. The dress otherwise fit GREAT.

I am a size 6, and it was true to fit. I am 5'7", 138lbs, athletic build, bra size 32D. The dress was perfect with high heels, and super comfortable. I wore a stick on bra, because you could see bra straps through the lace fabric. Up do, for this dress.

Great fit. True to size. I wore it to my undergraduate senior formal. I'm 5'3" so I was scared about the length being too long (even though I wore a 6R) but with 3" heels I was fine. The dress is absolutely gorgeous and if it wasn't for its $500 price tag, I would have bought it instead of renting it. I highly recommend this dress.

The fit was perfect! I'm 6ft. And the long fit just right with a flat. The dress also fit well across the chest, I'm a 32 DD, so that is often a challenge. I wore a strapless bar under.

This was a backup dress suggested by an RTR stylist and I could NOT be more thankful. This dress fit like a glove and flowed beautifully, which was a nice effect considering the entrances to my events were several red carpets and step-and-repeats. I ordered the 6L because it was the only one left, but with 4 inch heels it worked perfectly. Note: there's a slip inside and the pleated part is sheer, so be sure you have shoes that complement well! You can't wear a bra with this, so I invested in some tape that also worked perfectly. I was so thrilled with this dress, and it was one of the ONLY dresses that didn't have a RTR twin at this widely attended event.

I am usually inbetween a 4 and 6 and the 4 fit perfectly so I would suggest sizing down. The 6 was way too big. I am 5,5 and ordered the regular dress and it was almost too long. I usually like wearing 2-3 inch heels and had to wear 4 inch heels for it to not drag. But the dress worked out perfectly. I received a ton of compliments. The light blue line on the dress made it very flattering and really pop. I was worried about it being too much material for a long dress but it was just right. Would highly suggest this dress!

I rented this dress for a friend's formal wedding, and it was perfect. It was really lightweight feeling, and made me feel very glamorous. It does run a bit big, I'm normally a size 4 but the 2 was the best fit for me (I'm also a 32DD), and it was a great length with heels... maybe a touch on the longer side. The mini-dress underneath it is actually very nice and gave some extra needed coverage. You definitely can't wear a bra with this one!

The overall fit of the dress was great, after reading reviews I went for the 12R but only could get the 10R as a back up, it so happens that the 10 was a better fit since you can't wear a bra with this one it held the girls in a little better. Being a 38 DD I was worried about not wearing a bra and probably could of used the sticky cups but didn't have time to pick some up before heading away. The dress is long so for us short girls it's a bit of a pain and have to get out the big heels for this one. Was comfortable all night!

The dress was beautiful and obviously well-made. The pleating means there is a LOT of fabric - I had to be careful getting up and down out of seats and because I'm only 5'4" or so, even the 2R got stepped on a few times. The top is breathtaking and it's pretty comfortable. I think it runs pretty true to size - with my bust size (34C) it was a little tight in that area. The ribbon at the smallest part of your waist has NO stretch so definitely size up - I would have worn the 4 but was already struggling with the length in 4" heels and didn't want the dress any longer than it already was.

This dress fit beautifully for the most part - I'd say it ran pretty true to size. I am normally a 4, and the 4R fit right through the bodice. The only "negative" was the long length - I am 5'6" and even with 3-inch heels the dress was a bit long. I had to be careful not to step on it throughout the night. I did wear a nude strapless bra with the dress. There is not lining under the lace details, but the back strap of the bra was barely visible through the lace. I loved the colors of this dress - the navy was classic, but the aqua provided a pop of contrast/fun. The even was a black-tie optional wedding. This dress was formal, but the sleeveless and sheer skirt details made it a bit more casual than a formal gown - perfect for a spring wedding.

Worn for outdoor wedding in summer, which is perfect since it is a light weight, flowing material. Love the lace backing. Very comfortable.

I got the 0L and 2P because the 0R was not available. The quality of the 0L was beautiful and it fit like a glove. However it was just a tad too long. Wearing 6in wedges in this pic, and I am 5'2". I would have to have carried the fabric all night to prevent stepping on it. Am going to wear the 2P and will review it separately. Still lovely but definitely much more worn so not quite as crisp. Also kind of liked how tall I looked/felt with the long :) oh well. Fun and lovely dress.

I am 5'8, 145 lb, 34B. I wore the petite because the regular wasn't available. The long was my back up, but was way too lomg, even with heels. I wore the petite with flat sandals and it was perfect! In hindsight, I probably could have even worn a 6, but the 8 was extremely comfortable.

Y'all!! This dress, omg!! It's magical! I'm 5'10" and wore the 8L (6L was unavailable for the weekend I needed it) and it just grazed the floor with 3" heels. I absolutely could have fit into the 6L but the 8 left just enough room for eating and dancing. The back is sheer lace and has the perfect amount of sexiness. It flows so easily and was wonderfully comfortable. I wore this to a black tie optional wedding, ceremony outdoors, and it was PERFECT. Everyone wanted this dress! I even checked to see if BCBG still has it stocked so I could buy it. Highly, highly recommend! You could dress it up for black tie or down to a beach wedding/outing. Will 100% rent again!

Flattering fit. I am a 34D 135lbs and did not need to wear a bra. Supportive and the fabric was flowed nicely. I did not have any trouble with the slip staying in place.

The back was all over lace and the bottom was very light weight which made it feel very airy for an outdoor wedding with formal style. The waist is fitted and not stretchy. The lining of the dress was shorter than I had expected - think mini skirt. The length was perfect with 4 inch heels. This dress definitely makes a statement in an understated way!

I am 5'3" and 125 lbs, and the 2P fit like a glove. However, it was a bit long - even with heels. Ironically, the built-in slip was short, and I had to tug it down every so often (it was more of an issue when sitting). I wore a stick on bra for a little something extra, but I definitely could have gone without. All that said, I absolutely LOVED the dress. Quality fabric, perfect condition, and downright gorgeous (so glad my original dress was unavailable - thank you RTR for overnighting this beauty). I would highly recommend!

I rented this for a black tie optional wedding. The dress was so pretty and comfortable. I received so many compliments. I'm 5'6 and 123lbs, 34B. I was worried when they didn't have the backup size of 4 but the 2 was perfect! I should've had a 0 sent just to try but was glad I could easily dance, eat and drink. My only complaint was it was a tad bit long on me even with my heels. Would definitely rent again!

I loved this dress. I wore it to my prom and I was comfortable all night and I kept getting compliments. I was able to wear a "Sticky bra" with no problems and it was just off the ground with one inch heels. I am 5'10 so the long was just long enough. I would absolutely rent this dress again!

This dress was a HIT! I originally rented the 2R (which I knew fit perfectly because I tried it on in the SF showroom), but due to a shipping/damage error I was not able to get that one. Fortunately, they still had the 4L for me and sent that along with another dress. I tried on both dresses and though this one was slightly loose, it suspect it helped to make it easier for me to eat and drink all night. I received so many compliments from men and women alike, and I felt pretty. The dress is very long though, I had to wear high stilletto heels so take that into consideration when ordering. I'm 5' 7" and with 5" heels it was still long. The torso is fitted and lined so I didn't need to wear a bra. I have a narrow torso and wider hips so this was the perfect style dress for me. Though I would have liked the 2, the 4 worked just fine.
