I loved the way this dress fit. I wanted to wear heels so it would've been nice if it were longer, but oh well. Still great overall.

The dress was beautiful but there were some things I wish I had known...I'm 5'11 and I could not wear heels in the long. Some other reviews on here say they did, and maybe my height is more legs than others but I ended up wearing 1'' nude gladiator sandals....which worked great but I would have liked to wear heels. The chest was a little large after taping the girls in so if you are smaller than a 34B just be aware that the darts may fall a little funny. Other than that I LOVED This dress and got more compliments than I have ever received.

Seriously the most amazing dress I've ever rented--a month after the wedding and I am still getting compliments about this dress! Wore it to a black tie vineyard wedding and was a little concerned about the very high slit in the dress, but it turned out OK if I was careful sitting down! Wore a sticky bra since the back was pretty open, which worked out great. Overall I think it's the best dress I've ever worn!

I am 5'6 and normally a 2 in dresses and I rented both the 2L and the 4L. I ended up wearing the 4L (the 2 wouldn't even zip) so I would recommend sizing up. The dress would have been perfect lengthwise with a 3 inch heel - I wore a 4 inch heel and it was a tad shorter than I would have liked, but still a great dress in a great color!

This is the perfect true to size dress. I'm a standard 8 and this fit without any hiccups. The slit in the pictures from RTR seemed really high, but it's about knee length so you won't show too much as you are dancing the night away. I wore a sticky bra and simple thong and it worked well. This dress speaks for itself so you can wear simple shoes and jewelry and really shine! I'm not terribly busty so this dress was flattering but not showy.

This is, by far, the best gown that I've ever rented from Rent the Runway. Due to a last-minute snafu, I needed a gown immediately and took a chance on the 2R without a backup. I was concerned that it wouldn't fit, as a lot of size 2 gowns don't fit the lower half of my body well, but I was pleasantly surprised—it fit like a glove. I have an athletic figure, but the gown fit comfortably around my quads and broader shoulders while emphasizing my proportionately smaller waist. I'm 5'3", wore 5" nude pumps and the gown just barely swept the floor. It was flawless. I paired it with a sleek high ponytail and gold jewelry. I'd highly recommend this gown—not only will you be receiving compliments all night, the gown will move seamlessly with you, no matter what you do.

Definitely ran large! I read the reviews and got my normal 6 and then a 4. The 4 fit much better in the bust area. Also no bra needed, just went out and bought pasties and it worked perfectly. It's all around very flattering dress that sits well. Much brighter in person! Wore it with the mystery bling bracelet and nude heels. Would HIGHLY recommend :)

Pros- fabric was amazing, the color was intense and the dress really doesn't need any over the top accessories but a statement necklace, cuff, or earrings work. I tried on the 0 and it was longer and looser than the 2. No bra or Nubra you decide. The fabric is thick enough for options. So I wore the two and it was perfect for any heel height. Rent this one and you'll turn heads all night! Cons- returning it!

The dress was the most fabulous dress I have ever worn. It was comfortable and beautiful. The only cons were that I should have worn a tad taller heels since it almost swept the floor with my 2 or 2.5 inch low heels, and half of the hooks holding the back strap together kept coming unhooked, which was clearly visible because many people tried to fix it for me throughout the night. I wonder if sizing down 1 size would have fixed that, but I was scared the waist would be too small and so my backup was a 4, which was way too big. I do think it ran a bit large.

I had a lovely time wearing this dress. It fit perfectly besides a little space in the upper area. Although revealing, I felt comfortable in the dress. Top to bottom, I loved everything about it. The slit was amazing and the flaps were gorgeous! It's truly a universal dress that anyone can pull of!

Loved this dress. I wore to a black tie wedding and received so many positive compliments. I'm 5' so it was a little long (even with 4" heels) but the slit in the side made it where I could walk without tripping over the bottom. I was able to wear without a bra with the boning in the dress. Highly recommend!

This is by far my favorite dress I've ever rented. It is sexy yet comfortable. I received a million compliments and felt like a million bucks. The dress ran true to size. You also can't wear a bra with it, so prepared to wear a sticky bra. I didn't want to send this dress back!

This is by far my favorite RTR dress so far! It is perfection! The back is so sexy and fun, but the front balances it out and makes it classy as well. The color is gorgeous and even more beautiful in person. I received so many compliments and would definitely rent this dress again. One thing to note, I would recommend going with the Long if you like to wear 4 inch heels or higher. This dress was a little too short with any of my heels. I didn't try it on until last minute, so had to go with what I had. Still loved it!

Fit nicely, although it would have fitted a bit nicer if I had a bigger top and bottom. I'm 5 foot 3 inches and wore 2inch heels, and the dress was a bit too long, but it flowed very nicely. I honestly loved the dress and felt confident. The material is also very nice.

This dress is very flattering & comfortable. I wore 2.5 inch heels, which I thought was perfect. I thought it was a little big in the bust for me, but fashion tape helped keep it in place & nobody noticed but me. You can't wear a bra, so I needed to use breast lifting tape. I accessorized with gold & had a necklace with coral blue in it, which looked great because of the contrast. The shoes were a matte nude color.

This was my first time renting a dress, and I will definitely be renting again. I was worried about the color looking good on me since I am so pale, but it looked great. It's more red than the picture online shows. The fit was good overall, but top of the dress was a little big so I had to wear a nubra and pin the straps to make them tighter. The dress was also pretty long, so I wore 4" heels. Since the dress is such a statement, I kept makeup and accessories simple.

This dress is perfection. I'm 5'8" and it was a perfect length with 3 inch heels. This is the best dress I have ever worn!! I had so many compliments from random people. I was worried about the side cut outs being too revealing but it was perfectly classy.

Riskiest move of my life, I ordered only one size because I wanted to wear this dress so badly and was willing to chance a 2L! Praises be, dress fit like a glove and I received dozens of compliments. This dress gave me so many compliments the night I wore it. This dress is very true to size. The split in the dress gives you that sexy but yet elegant look. The detail in the front of the dress makes it totally different from most formal gowns. The back of dress really shows off your figure! I would honestly would go out and buy this dress! Hands down this my favor dress!!

I rented the 2R and got the 4R as a back up! I ended up wearing the 4R. The 2R fit but was a little snug in the top ( I wear a Size C) and I just felt my comfortable in the 4R. It was a great length with 4 inch heels. I received several compliments on the dress through out the night ( and helped spread the word that RTR is amazing)! It was my first rental but I will for sure be back. If you want a dress that will make you stand out from the crowd this is it!! As with other reviews, I ended up just wearing petals ( my strapless bra and no show bra both showed ) but the dress holds you in so there were no issues!

AMAZING DRESS!!! I wish it would've been available in a 4L but the 4R fit great in the waist and bust. It needs some accessories (I think, personally) but it fit beautifully, I got TONS of compliments, and it was the most beautiful color in the world. RTR is an awesome service and I'm so happy I used it.

I would say this dress ran a TINY bit on the small side. I could've gone with the 2L, but the 4L was a little bit more forgiving in the chest, plus it was longer. I had a cast on my right foot and on crutches for this event, so I needed a little give in the dress due to being seating for most of the event. Can we talk about the wow factor! Not only was the fabric so comfortable, the subtle sex appeal of this dress was insane. Perfectly fit my style needs for this event. San Diego springtime, black tie wedding approved. I kept the jewelry simple with a dainty bracelet and ear cuff. The dress allows you to go a little edgier on the hair, so we did almost a cornrow style on the side of my head- in case someone is looking for ideas. I am 5'10 at 128lbs and wore 4" heels with this killer ensemble. If you are over 5'8" I highly recommend the long version of this gown. For sure a spring or summer dress pick. Absolutely a great option. Keep in mind it's an orange coral, not a coral orange. I also recommend a base tan with this color dress, real or sunless, it just completes it.

I ordered the size 6L and the 8L. I went with the 6L, and may have been able to even drop a size. I got the 8L fearing that the dress would be tight on my hips/bum, but in fact it was far roomier than I had guessed. If you have a small waist and small bust then sizing down is the way to go. I didn't wear a bra, but instead wore petals. I would have liked to wear something more supportive. The length was fantastic and I wore a 3.5-4 inch heel. I am a true 5'10 in height. The dress was less than an inch off the ground with my heels, which is exactly as I wanted. The color is bright red poppy, with some orange tones, but definitely poppy. The fabric is great and not to revealing of flaws. The slit in the front comes up quit high when sitting. It required diligent monitoring during our meal. A Well placed purse and the correct choice in panty should alleviate any worry.

I was super hesitant about Rent The Runway, and the chance of the dress not fitting. However, I can honestly say this was the most pleasant and positive experiences ever. This dress is a SHOWSTOPPER. Seriously. The entire night I stood out in the best way possible. Everyone noticed me, and showered me with compliments. I was also really hesitant about the material which feels nothing like polyester. If anything it's extremely soft, and heavy. Really really really great quality. The fit was PERFECT. I would wear this dress every single day if I could. I am really short, with a height of 5'1. My upper body is really petite, but I definitely have a butt, which made me nervous that I wouldn't fit in the size 2. I ordered the size 4R and the 2R as backup. After trying on the 2R first, I didn't even need to try on the 4R. This dress fit like a glove. So if you're a little curvy, don't hesitate, it will flatter you. Absolutely perfect gown for a black tie affair. Elegant and sexy. If you're debating between this and another gown, GET THIS ONE!!

I absolutely adored this dress. It fit like it was made for me and the color was just stunning in person and in pictures. I was worried the slit would be too high, but it was an appropriate yet sexy height. Really comfortable dress, danced all night without a problem!

I had a star-studded and very formal Lunar New Year event to attend and needed a red dress that was both simple ( my hair and accessories were already very elaborate), classically elegant yet modern. This beautiful dress sums that up. I did not need a bra to wear with this as the dress material was thick enough, but if you need support , i suggest one of those stick on bras ,as bra straps showing is a no-no. I also found thanks to the flattering peplum, no shapewear is needed. This is a "Valentino red' i.e. the red runs bright and reads warm on the color palette. The slit goes up really high when you sit, so I suggest boycut nude or black underwear if you dont feel like accidentally flashing anyone. A stunning dress all in all. The dress fit like a glove! I'm on the shorter side (almost 5'1") and I wore 3 inch heals and it was perfect! I'm also bigger around the bust, no bra needed. Dress was amazing and I did not want to give it back. I highly recommend this dress.

I am almost 5 '10" and am a 34DD. I usually wear a size 6 based on my height and chest, but with this dress, you need it to hug the body tight for shape, so the size 4L was perfect- fit like a glove. I went braless and the fabric was tight enough that I had enough support to dance all night! If you are 5'9" or taller, the Long size won't be long enough. I wore nude flats, and heels would have made the dress look too short. I LOVED this dress and it pained me to have to send it back. It was a perfect mix of classy and sexy! The burnt-orange color of the dress is so unique (it will photograph red).

Normally I am a 4L but I was skeptical of this one with the cuts outs in the back. The 8L fit well with some beauty tape (6L was not available). The color is striking and I was receiving compliments all night on it. The dress should be worn with a stick on bra but with the right fashion take you can pull off wearing an actual one. Do not want to return this beauty!

I am 6'0" and typically wear an 8. The size 10L fit slightly better than the 8L, but I could have worn either. It was also long enough, but I barely wore any heel. The side cutouts cut in further than I thought - but a very stunning dress!

Awesome dress!! Be prepared to have lots of people stop you. The fabric is pretty thick which is great since wearing a bra could be difficult (although it might be possible). A little long, but otherwise sad to return it.

It's fits really true to size, I'm usually a 6 and the 6 fit perfect, I didn't even try the 4 on. The straps are wide enough that you could wear a regular bra with it. I wore 3 in heels and the regular length was good but if you plan to wear anything higher I would suggest getting the long. The color is definitely bright red in person (on a computer screen is looks like it could be in the orange family). Overall great dress I'd recommend!

Gorgeous dress! I wore it to a black-tie Indian wedding and it was perfect. I felt super sexy and got compliments and looks all night. Comfortable and easy to dance in. I normally get a 6 but it was unavailable so I ended up wearing the 8L which fit well. Because of the cut-outs in the back I was happy not to have a dress that was tight--wouldn't want anything squishing out! I'm super small busted and just wore little petals, btw. I'm 5'9 and wore 3 1/2 inch heels and the dress was just barely off the floor so choose your length wisely. When the shoes came off for dancing later I was dragging on the floor a little so that could have been better but overall so so so pleased with this dress. The first dress I've ever posted a picture for because I was so thrilled. (The picture does not do it justice, though!)
