Great fit! Classic colors in a modern design. Very comfortable, good length. Funny story... another woman at the gala at the same dress on and she was 30+ years older than me but looked fabulous! Obviously great for every age : )

Fabulous dress for a black tie wedding I attended. Received many compliments and felt great in the dress. The slit that goes up the center of the dress is beautiful, and every time I walked it flowed backwards and looked gorgeous. The only downfall is it does run a bit small. I am always a true size 2, and this size 2 was very tight around the chest and mid-section. There is boning, so it was a bit uncomfortable, but overall ok. If I were to rent again, I would choose the 4. Great overall style and experience though!

My usual size 8(T) fit perfectly. I'm athletic but smaller on top than bottom. Very comfortable, can wear a regular strapless bra. The only drawback is that the slit in the front is too high to allow for shape wear. Would have loved to wear some spanx to smooth the bottom & thighs for the white side of the dress, but it's not possible. That being said, the thickness of the material made it so I wasn't self conscious about that. I was pleasantly surprised that the black mesh on top covered a scar on my back left shoulder. I received so many compliments and was told it was the "best dress" of the evening...I would highly recommend to anyone!

I tried the 4L on in store and the fit was so flattering that I had to get the dress - the top was tight, but nothing that was uncomfortable. The way the dress is designed makes you look like you have a smaller waist and was very figure flattering. The 4L was a perfect length (barely grazed the floor with 4 inch heels on). The dress was amazing in person and I felt gorgeous - I just didn't think about how if I stood sideways in pictures that the dress looked a bit odd if you couldn't see both the black and white in the front. But overall, I loved the dress and the whole rent the runway experience.

I wore this dress to an industry awards show in NYC. It was absolutely gorgeous and so many people commented on it. With 4-inch heels, the 8R length worked well enough, although I did have to hold up the black overlay when walking up stairs. I agree with some other comments that the black sheer sleeves were a little loose, but I just dealt with it. The top part was snug but not uncomfortable, and I did not have to wear a bra (which is RARE for me). The white panel is silky, so you can see some lumps and bumps underneath the fabric. The center slit was a little high and tricky for a work event, especially while sitting in a limo for 3 hours, but it was fine just sitting at a table. Overall, I loved this dress and seriously considered buying it!

This dress runs very tight in the bust. I normally wear a 6 in all brands, and had to go to an 8 in this dress, and it was still tight. No bra needed. The dress is also very long, I didn't need the long length and I am 5'8" and wore 3" heels. A very beautiful, classic dress.

The dress was true to size, had a built in bra and was very comfortable. I loved this gown and didn't want to send it back.

I ADORE Rent The Runway for overnighting me new dresses since mine were delayed due to weather and I had to fly out before they would arrive. They shipped one to my work and the backup to the hotel. I LOVE the customer service on TOP of how beautiful I felt that night for the event!

Dress fit like a glove. I am 5'3 125 lbs and the 4R was perfect. I had 4-5" heals and it was a tad short, but not a huge deal. Highly recommend this dress.

The dress was absolutely beautiful, and it fit my petite frame perfectly. I received so many compliments on this dress!

Dress runs quite small up top. I am a 34 A and the zipper barely closed at the top. The length is perfect with a 2"-3" heel (I'm 5'-6"). The white part of the gown is very transparent, so be prepared with the right undergarments. There is a bit of boning structure in the bodice which could be uncomfortable if you were seated for long periods of time. Overall, this is a killer dress I would highly recommend renting for any black tie event.

After many misses - 2 of my first choice dresses were returned to RTR damaged beyond repair. I ended up choosing this dress basically because there was nothing left in my size. It ended up to be perfect! The 10L fit better everywhere except was a little snug across the back. I thought that would make for an uncomfortable evening, and sure didn't want to rip the dress! RTR overnighted the 12L to me and it was a little large but you couldn't really tell. RTR was fabulous to deal with!! They sent accessory jewelry and a bag because of all the mishaps on the front end. They just made the entire process easy. I will definitely use them again

Waist cinching, built in corset. No worries about undergarments!!! Does run somewhat small and is long. But gorgeous gown!

Love the dress! it was very tight around my ribs- I would size up and at 5'8" really needed the long.

I wore this dress to a friend's wedding and received many compliments. I am 5'4" and this dress extremely long (I ordered standard length). I ordered size 4 and 6 based on previous reviews that dress runs small. I usually wear 2 or 4, depends on a brand. My size 4 dress zipper did not work well and some seam upfront has been separated, so I wore 6.

This dress was a hit at my event! Very happy with it. The fit was true to size; I tend to be a 2 or a 4 depending on the brand. When I received the dress I was a bit worried about the length because it was about an inch too long from what I expected. However, I used 5-inch heels and it ended up being ok / did not trip or stepped on it too much. If you are short (like me) and prefer to wear low heels, get the Short. But I highly recommend it!

Fit: Since the top of the dress has no give or stretch to it at all, you may want to consider sizing up. Undergarments must be super smooth with no textures at all. If it does, it will show through the white part of the dress. A nude seamless panty worked fine for me (sans bra). Pros: The slit on the front of the dress gives this classy piece a subtle dash of sexy which worked great for my black-tie event. Compliments galore. Cons: If you size up, the sheer fabric over your shoulders may be a bit looser than you would like. You could do an easy fix with a safety pin, or just let it be like I did. The top fabric is light enough that this was practically unnoticeable.

The fit was just like all BCBG, fit is flattering but always a smidgen long on my 5'2" frame so higher heels were in order. It gave a great cinched waistline and was very flowy for a comfortable fit. The slit gave hit the right amount of sex appeal to a wonderfully classy gown.

There was NO cons. I had to get this dress last minute. My size was available. Runs true to size, fit me like a glove. This dress was a hit and got lots of compliments. I felt special with this unique and classy dress. The shipping was the easiest part. I literally ordered the dress and the next day I was slipping it on. I hugged the dress bag it comes in before I dropped it off to be shipped. Great experience. I am coming back for more!

I wore this to a black tie fundraiser and many random people complimented me on this! I was iffy about it when I ordered it, but so glad I did! Looked even better on than in the photos. The material was lighter weight and more conforming to my figure than I had imagined, which was a bonus! I got a regular length since my shoes were only about 1 or 1.5 inches high, but would probably have wanted the long if I had very high heels.

It really shows off the curves in the best way. Very elegant look, perfect for formal affairs.

The dress stood out in the crowd because of the color contrast. The waist was flattering, and there is a long slit up the front. It was very comfortable.

I wore this dress for my work's annual black tie fundraiser and it was a hit! I ordered both 4L and 6L and ended up wearing the 6L because I needed a little more room at the bust than the 4L offered. I was able to wear a regular bra with it- nude straps didn't really show under the mesh shoulder straps and I was able to tuck the bra band down enough in the back. There wasn't any give or stretch in the dress so if you're between sizes definitely order up. I loved this dress and got a ton of compliments on it. Highly recommend!

I wore this dress for a wedding, and as soon as I put it on I was in love. The fabric and fit were so comfortable but there was no sacrifice of glamour. I received so many compliments! I will note that this dress has boning that runs down each side...I am on the shorter side so it ended up digging into my hips while dancing. In the future I would definitely recommend this dress for a function that I wasn't dancing the night away in. However, that didn't detract much from the beauty of the dress and how beautiful I felt in it!!

I was worried about length (5'8") but had low heels so length was perfect. It was snug around the middle but I feel a size up would have made it gap at sleeves. Very comfortable, was able to dance the night away.

Fit was a tiny bit snug, but I still wore my normal size. Length was perfect - I'm 5'4" and wore pretty high heels though. The slit is quite high, so be aware of that. It's fine when standing, but sitting down it was a little bit high. Overall, however, I absolutely felt beautiful and would highly recommend this dress for anyone attending a formal affair where they want to be classy, yet fun. :) RTR process was sooooo easy! I'll be doing this again!!

This was a replacement dress, as my original order was too large. RTR customer service was great and overnighted this dress. The dress was true to size, but maybe a bit snug in the hips. The zipper was difficult to pull but otherwise the quality of the material and craftsmanship was great. The dress has some stretch to it, so despite its form fitting design, it was comfortable. The slit in the front was a bit high and revealing when seated.

Alternate dress sent by RTR as a replacement for a dress I chose that was not available. I didn't end up wearing it, but it was a flattering fit the draping is odd but interesting. Fits true to size.

Tons of compliments! Due to my pear shape body, it ran a bit small for me around the waist/hip line. Other than that, it was beautiful! The process was super easy and convenient.
