This dress looked amazing on. It was very form fitting, and hugged all the right places. The material was thick so it hid any imperfections. I wore this to a friends holiday party and it was perfect. I didn't have to wear a bra, but if you're bigger chested, you may need to.

The fit is what I would consider to be loose, or at best SUPER forgiving. I feel like I am between a S and M in the usual BCBG dresses, and so (because of my generous hips and bottom) initially ordered a M. It was huge on my bust, and loose everywhere else (my measurements: a firm 138lbs, 34B bust, 29 inch waist, 39 inch hips). This dress is incredibly comfortable and very VERY stretchy in the sequined areas. Bonus: while it is sequined, the sparkles are downplayed as they are sewn in rows, with a second bonus that nothing special was required underneath (the skirt portion fell fluidly over my lower half and the top was tight enough that no bra was needed). I'd rent this again in a second--it was the hit of the party!

This dress is beautiful! Just the right amount of sexy without being inappropriate for a wedding. I'm a pretty tall gal, and the length was perfect, right at the knee. Might not work too well for a petite girl. Also, judging from the photo, I had expected the sequins to be more of a bronze or rose gold. They are definitely regular gold, but I wasn't disappointed. It's gorgeous!

This was one of my favorite rentals. I rented it for my birthday, and wore it out to dinner. I felt amazing! I couldn't wear a bra, but I felt ok without one. I probably would have needed one if I wore this to a wedding with dancing. A few sequins flipped during shipping, but I spent a little time flipping them back and it was worth it. The dress was so gorgeous and made me feel really elegant! The only other note is that it was definitely more gold than I thought it would be from the pics. The pics online look more rose-gold, but this was regular gold. Still beautiful though!

Rented this dress for NYE. We went to a fancy dinner and then out to a beer garden for the evening. Loved the rose gold sequins with the mesh - it's the perfect mix of glamorous and edgy. I wore the size small (over the XS, which fit too) to have room to eat, drink & dance. The detailed description of the dress should note that the side panels of the dress are black mesh! You will want a skin-tone strapless bra with this dress. I tried it on with a black strapless bra and it was too obvious to wear with black. The dim lighting of the bar and restaurant I went to helped hide the skin-tone bra from showing through the dress.

This dress was the perfect choice for New Years Eve. It was the perfect length, especially for someone as tall as I am. I received lots of compliments on the dress, and would definitely wear it again!

This dress is striking in its details--the cut-outs, the color of the sequins, the sheer top make this a show-stopper, but one that could work for a more conservative atmosphere (a NYE party at a yacht club, where the average age was easily into the 60's). I will echo other comments about a few things: 1. The sheer side panels--yes, the panel of sequins that covers the bust is the only solid fabric on the top half. Being small busted, I was able to pull off and still maintain a conservative look. Had it been more revealing (i.e.: side boob), I would have had to send back and keep in mind for a future event. 2. The sequins--yes, several did flip during transport of the dress. I didn't have the time to flip each down as some have suggested, so just kind of went with it. Even if I had, by the time I stood up from dinner a handful in the back had flipped up. Honestly though, it didn't bother me or take away from the compliments I received. 3. The size--it does run large. I was nervous about only having the XS delivered (they were out of the small), and while it was a little snug around that thick black band in the middle, I'd say it fit like a glove. I would recommend this dress to everyone--so fun to wear, and photographed beautifully!

Overall, the dress fit great. It was actually comfortable and it could have been more fitted on the bottom but it was nice to be able to move around easily and dance! It was truly a spectacular look - I did not need to do much with accessories because it was all about the dress. The sequins did need a little touch up as they flipped during shipping but not a big deal. Tons of compliments from complete strangers. Always makes you feel so good. =0)

This dress is beautifully made, it's heavy, the sequins are secure, the mesh is soft. I'd say the sequins are slightly closer to gold than the light pink color in the picture. I normally wear an 8 in dresses and I wore the medium. The large was more comfortable, but the medium fit better through the hips. It was a little tight around the waist since the band around the waist is so thick, but nothing a little spanx can't help!

This dress is perfect. It arrived to me with every sequin in its right place, thanks to the inventive and protective garment bag it arrived in. The dress does run large, so I would suggest getting it in a size smaller than usual. It's very form fitting, but still have enough give to dance in. I received so many compliments on this stunning dress. I HIGHLY recommend it!

This is a beautiful dress and received compliments all night long! I wore the Small (5'4", 120 pounds, 34 C/D bra) and it fit like a glove. Just enough stretch to be comfortable and could easily sit and move around with no problem. I decided against wearing a strapless bra under it because the sides are sheer, and I also felt that my snug bra caused lumps that were not attractive. I feel it was a smoother fit that way, and the top was snug enough that it gave me the support I needed. Coverage was good. Length was just at my knee -- looks a little shorter on the tall model on the website. I have a straight body type, and I feel the design helped give me a figure. By the way, my daughter's dress on the right was also RTR.

This dress was perfect for the Holiday party I attended. It hugged my curves and showed off some skin without being too risque. I loved the sheer neckline and the rose colored sequins made the dress stand apart from what everyone else was wearing. It was also the perfect length, hitting right above the knee. I would've kept this dress if i could have!

It is super sexy and fun. I chose to wear the jacket because it was a freezing cold night and was a company event so I didn't want to have full arms exposed. The boots I thought made the dress more party than cocktail.

My husband's Holiday Party had a Gatsby theme, and I wanted a dress that would give a nod to the era without being a flapper costume...this dress really fit the bill! The rose gold sequins are stunning! The XS was a little tight, but the S was considerable larger and thus, looked sloppy. On my 4' 11" frame, it was a little long, but an appropriate length for the event. As other reviewers have mentioned, the sequins have a tendency to flip over...a tweezer made flipping them back much easier. I got tons of compliments, would definitely recommend!

This dress actually fit really nice. The bandeau portion was a little snug in the small but I chose to wear that size and not the medium because the sheer sheets was baggy with the medium. Overall I really enjoyed it and got a lot of compliments on the dress!

I wore this dress to my company's holiday party at a winery. I am a size 6, but the size M was a tad too boxy looking on me. I lack curves as it is. I sized down to the size S, and it was a much more flattering fit. I would suggest sizing down for your free back-up size. As other reviewers have stated, many of the sequins will flip over to the wrong side during shipment. I had to take tweezers and individually flip them all back to the ride side. It took 45 minutes to an hour to do that, and I wasn't thrilled. It wasn't the end of the world, though.. Luckily the sequins stayed put as I wore the dress throughout the evening, including when I sat down to dinner. And everyone really liked it, I got a lot of compliments, and it all worked out. Sorry for the bathroom mirror shots. I didn't take photos at the event, so I snapped a few afterwards for this review on RTR.

First of all, I loved the art deco look and feel of this dress.. Not my usual style, but I was willing to branch out for the bf's work holiday party. Couple things to share: 1. It runs true to size/maybe a TAD bit big. I am usually a 8/10 and I wore the medium. Important note: I think someone with bigger boobs wore the dress before me, because the top portion was stretched out, causing the "boob line" to be lower than I'm comfortable with. At times you could see my strapless bra peeking out at the top and I kept having to pull it up. The sides are see through, but it's not that big of a deal to wear the strapless bra with it. 2. The sequin problems I read about in other reviews really are an issue. You can see the turned pieces a mile away. But it wasn't the worst in the world so I went head and wore it. 3. The bottom part of the dress shows any lines - I couldn't wear spanx because you could see where the line was. Ended up looking better without them. The length was perfect though. Not too short but also not too conservatively long. 4. The earrings I ordered came broken, but that's for another review! Overall - I received a lot of compliments on this dress because it's different and adds some fun to what could be just another LBD event. I was happy with my choice!

The overall dress ran large had a little stretch to it and was comfortable. The front of the dress definitely is too long, had to keep pulling it up bc my bra was showing. Wasn't a huge problem but you definitely have to wear a bra so nothing gets exposed through the netting. There was a little puckering in the back where the zipper lays on your butt, but it wasn't super obvious, I'm only nitpicking because of how it actually looks in the picture on the model. Overall it was a pretty dress, just not made as well as I had hoped. Worked for the function, but wouldn't rent again.

I am a solid medium but I looked boxy in this size. Went with the small even though it was a tad tight in the ribs as it looked much more flattering. Wore with a strapless bra and spanx just to feel comfortable but could probably have done without shape wear. It is sexy but classy and very pretty in person. I only gave this 4 stars because a lot of sequins were not flush with the dresses when they arrived (I suspect from shipping) so I had to flip a lot of them down by hand. Looked perfect after spending time doing this however.

The fit was perfect. Very comfortable. The only con is that the sequins flipped over and it scratched your arm while walking and made the dress look a little funny. Not that big of a deal!

I rented the size large but I should have went with the medium. The dress fit my top perfect but was a little loose and too long from the waist down. Also when you sit the sequins on the back shifts upward. Overall was a beautiful dress would rent again.

This dress was fabulous. It was conservative, yet head turning! The dress fit true to size. I am. Rey curvy on the bottom, and order some room, so I ended up wearing the Medium. However, if you prefer to have it fitted, the small was perfect! Dress was very comfortable to sit and stand in! Love the color!

I'm 5'4" 123 lbs and A cup. Small was great. Very flattering dress. Loved it! Sticky bra cups worked well as lower cut.

sequins were flipped when it arrived so I did try and flip them back but gave up after a while. No one even noticed but me. over all loved the dress.

It was an amazing dress! My boyfriend was best man so I needed a dress that would photograph well and this was perfect! It fit well and held me just enough that I didn't need spanx, but I didn't feel stuffed into it. I got many compliments on it! I def recommend!

LOVED this dress! I received so many compliments. The dress was very comfortable, the top was very supportive and I did not have to wear a bra. The sequence fabric is more stretchy that it looks in the photo. I would say the dress runs a little big, I typically wear a large, and my back up medium fit perfectly! Would highly recommend this dress to anyone!

All in all, the dress is awesome. So long as this design fits your style, then I think you should go for it. I'm a curvy size 2 and on the shorter scale but the XS was a very good fit. I'm typically a pretty modest dresser and I do think the top may have revealed a bit too much upper boob for my usual liking. Even though there was the mess covering, it still felt a little low for me - especially for a wedding. I have a long torso, so if your's is short, be forewarned. Also, I have a slim waist and the dress did not hug me as well around my midsection as I would have liked and it was a little baggy. This IS a great dress for dancing. Nothing uncomfortable and no chaffing. I did not wear a bra as even a strapless would be seen. You could potentially get away with a black bandeau if desires.

I loved how comfortable the dress was, and even though I'm a DD, I didn't need a bra (huge bonus!). I had compliments all night long.

I am continually impressed by how every detail of RTR has continued to improve and thrive over the years. My first rental was for my senior prom, and this one was for my senior sorority formal. I know I can always rely on BCBG to have a dress that fits perfectly. This one was incredibly comfortable and flattering: went braless with no fear of a malfunction. I felt like a diva all night. I did spend an hour or so flipping sequins before I put it on but it didn't bother me all that much so I didn't stress about fixing every last one.

Complements all night as usual!! The color is definitely more of a rose gold than a gold gold. I think the top mesh was a tiny bit stretched out so I wore a strapless bra, but I had to use a little bit of fashion tape so the dress wouldn't show the bra. It didn't show through on the side mesh part though. I love the length and how it flattered my figure! This may be my favorite RTR so far! I think I could have gotten away with wearing an extra small, but it still fit nicely

I got two sizes. My actual size and a size smaller and I ended up wearing the smaller size (XS) because I liked the way it hugged me better! The difference in sizes wasn't really very noticeable though I just felt I looked curvier in the smaller one. I wore it to a dear friend's 50th birthday party and received many compliments! Great rental price as well. I was worried the sequins would be turned or look funky but that wasn't the case!

Dress runs large. I normally wear a medium as I have 34DDD. The S fit perfectly. You cannot wear a bra with this as side panels are sheer. My favorite dress that I've rented so far. Very hot, got tons compliments.
