I rented this last minute for a black tie summer wedding. I wish I could have got a 4R but the 4P was all that was available, it was a little short but that didn't phase me. The pleats flow when you walk and are fun to dance with. The dress slims your waistline and makes a great statement! I would definitely rent this dress again! I'm now obsessed with RTR

I rented a size 10 because my normal size 8 was unavailable on the event date. I think it fit beautifully. The color, lace detail and pleating are perfection. I paired it with the Kate Spade 'I kissed a frog' clutch for a wedding. Lots of compliments!

First off let me say Rent the Runway has the most INCREDIBLE customer service around! A few days before my dress was supposed to ship they let me know one of the sizes was damaged but I was able to pick additional options to ship to me at free of charge, along with my original rental 2 additional dress styles came with my order. I ended up wearing my first choice as it fit like a glove! I was nervous the waist band would not be comfortable as other reviews said, but I didn't have a problem and it made my body look great! I had such a great experience, I can't wait to rent again!

A little snug in the waist, but good length. A little darker than the picture but not quite navy blue.

I read all of the reviews for this dress and ordered one size up and it fit perfectly! It was comfortable, flowed nicely, and I received lots of compliments! :)

Worn for a Valentine's Day wedding in Philadelphia this dress was perfect and so flattering. I wish I could have kept it!

The color and design of this dress are perfect. It was so comfortable to wear, and yet it was a show stopping dress. I received tons of compliments on it. I had no issues with the waist- it wasn't forgiving, but it also wasn't too tight on me, which other people have mentioned. The length was a bit long on me, which was surprising. I'm 5'6 and wore 3 inch heels and the dress was barely off the ground (I wore a 0R). I felt great in the dress all day/night, and it photographs very well. I didn't wear a bra with the dress and had no issues there. I can't say enough great things about this dress- if you're considering it for an event do yourself a favor and pick this one!

This was perfect for prom. The color is beautiful in person. Kind of long but it worked with 3" heels. I'm sad to return this because I loved it so much! Really could not have had a better first RTR experience. I had an issue with the backup size I ordered and RTR notified me immediately and gave me the option to pick an extra dress. Very professional. Luckily the size I had originally ordered worked great. This dress feels so good to wear and I will definitely be ordering from RTR again.

If you have a small waist, this dress will look phenomenal on you. The waist band does not give, so I could see how it could be super uncomfortable for people who are square shaped or have large boobs. It literally fit like a glove and looked stunning. The size up was unflattering on me, but felt better, like I could really go in on some wedding cake, lol. Besides that the skirt has a great flow, and the color is the perfect deep blue. The lace cut outs are classy enough to get away with at a formal event, and provide really interesting shapes. I highly recommend this dress. I didn't want to give it back! Lol

I love this dress! It fit relatively true to size, a bit big throughout the bust but I have a tiny chest. I was worried it would be too tight around the ribbon based on other reviewers, but it was perfect. The underskirt was such a nice length, a bit short when seated but perfect when standing. Just be mindful when standing up that the underskirt is down all the way. Overall, I love this dress! I wore it to a Military Enlisted Dining Out and was formal without being stuffy! I was very sad to have to return this dress!

The dress fits true to size, but did run long in me. I am 5 feet so be careful with length of you are short.

I absolutely loved this dress. It is a little less forgiving around the waist so that is why I chose the larger size. But the too fit perfectly. Didn't even have to wear a bra. I was so incredibly shocked when the the dress fit like a GLOVE. The whole RTR process was amazing and simple. And the dress was beyond elegant. I felt absolutely incredible in it. I am a very tall girl (6'1) and the dress was a perfect length even in heels. Totally recommend this to anyone! LOVED IT

The service at the Georgetown storefront was absolutely wonderful. Although it was crowded my stylist didn't rush me at all and kept bringing dresses until we found the right one! This dress is absolutely perfect and runs true to size, the only minor issue I had with it was it was still a bit long even with 5-inch heels on (I'm 5'2)

I loved this dress. It was a little long, but that is only because the regular length wasn't available. RTR was so wonderful. When they couldn't find the 4L they immediately asked me to pick 5 new dresses and they would send me what was available. They ended up sending me four dresses (extra dresses free of charge). The 6L ended up fitting perfectly, not too tight but not too loose. The back is perfect and the dress is still sexy wth everything peeking through lace. The color is beautiful and the dress flows so well when you walk. I wore a sticky bra and the cross in the front covered everything just fine.

As per other reviews, I went a size up and I was glad b/c the dress was very snug in the rib cage. Other than that, the fit was perfect and no need to wear a bra. The color was beautiful! Perfect for a spring wedding.

I am 5'7", 127 pounds- I ended up going with the 6R, I could have worn the 4R but it would have been tight breathing. I have a small bust and this fit perfect in my chest area. It was a little too short for 4 inch heels, but with kitten heels it was perfect. I got compliments all night long and I felt beautiful. Very satisfied with my rental!

I ordered a 2R and a 4R, went with the 4 due to the tightness around the rib cage but really either dress would have worked. I'm 5'7" and the length was perfect with 3 inch heels. Very flattering and pretty color.

I usually rent a 0 or a size 2, but based on other reviews I rented the 2 and the 4. The 2 fit fabulously. A little snug on the rib cage, but wonderfully flattering. The top fit perfectly too! The length was great and I wore 2" heels with no problem of it being too long or showing to much of my shoes. I could have worn flats and it would have been a good length too. Overall a great choice - easy to dance it and received lots of compliments.

I wore this to a formal alumni event. It is sexy without being risque at all. I did not have to wear a bra, but since it was a very cold night I wore a stick-on bra for coverage. As others said, the waistband is tight, but I was still able to wear my correct size. I started the night in 5" heels and ended it in flats and wasn't stepping on the dress either way. It is slightly tricky to navigate on stairs just because of the amount of fabric. Overall, I would highly recommend this dress!

Great fit!

This is a beautiful dress. It's soft and flowing and a beautiful blue color. I am a 32DD and was able to go without a bra in this dress. The top was tight enough with enough coverage to hold everything in place. The dress was a bit long even with 5" heels be aware if you are short you will have to carry this dress around to prevent getting stepped on. Overall, a great dress. I felt great and received many compliments.

I usually where a size 4 and have a small waist (body type: hourglass), but the waist band on the 4 was snug on me as it has no give, but the 6 fit great. So in my opinion, this dress runs a tad small. I would order the size you are and one size up for your second size option. One of them will fit you then. Also, I am 5' 4" and the regular length was perfect with 3 inch heels.

Dress is super long, I'm 5'11" and it was perfect even with heels. Only problem was that I saw another girl wearing the same dress, she had rented it from RTR also

I'm generally a size 6 but sized up after reading reviews. The 8 fit perfectly! Received so many compliments, can't wait to rent it again! :)

Length: I'm 5'7", so right on the cutoff for recommended Regular vs. Long styles. The Regular was *perfect* with 2-inch heels and swept just above the floor - I would have been tripping and dragging with the Long style. Do note that the opaque underskirt is quite short on tall girls and you may need to adjust a little after sitting and standing. Top Fit: I have small shoulders and a 34B bust, so I always worry about non-petite styles being baggy on top. The 6R top fit was perfect and I was completely comfortable not wearing a bra. Larger busts beware. As others have mentioned the waist band doesn't have any give so it was a little snug when sitting, but not prohibitively so. I would definitely size up for your second free size, as a backup. The waistband hits very nicely at your natural waist (for most), which allows the full part of the skirt to fall very flatteringly over your hips. I have full hips, so I really look for this style that minimizes, but looks fabulous doing so. Quality: Yes, it's polyester, but it's very high quality. I thought the fabric was soft, yet durable (less chance to snag it on your accessories). It's a good weight, not heavy but not flimsy. The dress I received was in Like New condition. I couldn't tell that it had ever been worn and it arrived wrinkle free in a full length dress bag. The zipper was in good condition, but probably best to have a helper when getting dressed. Overall: I think the lace cutouts are terrifically demure and give the dress some sexy while still being completely appropriate for a formal work fundraiser or conservative crowd. The cut and style are super flattering for pears, small bust area on top and loosely flowing over the hips. Finally, the color really pops in person (my photo had a color filter) and you'll really stand out from everyone else's Little Black Dresses. I'm actually trying to find this dress on ebay (no longer sold by BCBG), I loved it that much. I would order it again absolutely!

This dress didn't catch my eye but tried it on at the store and was amazing. The more sheer panels on top cover you up enough to the point where it's still appropriate but still adds a fun contrast. Next to my fiancee in a classic tuxedo, the dress was dressed up enough to be formal and fun enough to be age appropriate.

True to size, but very long. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs. I had on 5" heels with 1" platform toe and it hit the floor. I was able to not step on it, but any more length at all would have been unwearable. Fit was snug but perfect. I saw this one because the black was not available and I am SO happy I went with the blue. An absolute gorgeous dress; arrived on time, easy to return. Loved it. Can't wait for another event to RTR again!

I loved this dress! I was worried about the 0P being the only petite size available around my typical size. I didn't have to wear a bra because it was tighter in the bust. I have smaller hips & butt so it fit great in that area. The slip underneath could be a little snug on someone with a booty. The only time the slip was noticeably short was when I sat down. Good thing I ordered a petite with my 5'1" height! I wore a pair of my tallest heels and the dress still barely missed touching the ground. All in all I would highly recommend this dress!

Beautiful dress! It really accentuated in all of the right places. I will say that it doesn't have a lot of give in the waist so if you're questioning your size I'd get your normal and a size up. I received a lot of compliments!

I have recently had a baby and was scared about ordering again from Rent the Runway because I'm not quite back in my regular size. However I ordered my usual size 8 and a size 10. The 8 fit but was a little tight at the waist so I ended up wearing the 10. The dress was very comfortable and can work with any strapless bra. I am pretty tall and wore 3 inch heels and the dress did drag a little, so keep that in mind.

I am 5'9 and rented a 2L and a 4L. The 2 was too tight i couldn't even zipper it up. Make sure you wear heels with the dress it is long but beautiful! No bra needed. : )

The band along the waist does make the dress slightly snug. If you have a pooch at all, it may define it more. I loved the fit and color and felt so pretty in it! I'm 5'5 and with 2" heels, the dress was perfect.

This dress fir absolutely perfect. It was extremely flattering, fun to dance in, and the color really stood out in a sea of black dresses. It fit virtually the same as the 4 but was a little bit roomier in the bust. I would 100% recommend this dress.

This dress was beautiful! I feel like I can never go wrong with BCBG. The fit was right on, however the color was more of a navy blue than a royal blue.

I wore this dress to a black tie wedding and loved it. The dress is more of a navy blue, so it's definitely different than the image shows but it's still gorgeous. The bodice was tight enough that I didn't need to wear a bra. My only complaint was that it's really really long. I'm 5'2 and I had to go out and buy 5+ inch heels to make it work. Loved this overall! Wish I could've kept it.

This is a phenomenal dress - every dress I get from RTR I think is the best, but this one was definitely my favorite! I considered purchasing it (on sale at BCBG now!) since it is so much fun to wear. The bottom is very light so even though you're wearing a gown, it is easy to move around in. Similar to other reviews, the waist band is very snug - the 6R fit better on top, but I went with the 8R (lots of Christmas goodies to nibble on at the party!) I would recommend that unless you are very tall (I'm 5'6') the regular is better than the long - due to the pleats there is a LOT of fabric at the bottom of the dress, and I think a long would add even more to contend with.

I loved this dress! The color was gorgeous and it was comfortable too! I was worried about it being too tight on top due to other reviews I had read, but it was perfect. I wore the O because I felt like the 2 was a little too loose on top. I chose the regular length and it was perfect with 4 inch heels. I got a ton of compliments and would definitely rent this dress again.
