Multiple compliments throughout the night. I wore this for a fundraiser dinner/dance. I was able to sit down through a steak dinner and dance both cumbia and hip-hop (including getting Low with Flo-Rida). I am a 38D (36DD) and the 12R dress was somewhat tight through the ribcage. However, I was able to sit, eat and dance with the help of Sara Blakely. I wore her high-waist Spanx instead of those with shoulder straps because those straps showed too much for my comfort. I did wear a regular underwire (red) bra, however. If you are under 5'4", I recommend the petite. I wore 2-inch heels and had a bit of a train in back and peep toes in front. I didn't want people to see my black heels since I wore pearl jewelry, and I was able to accomplish this. If you're taller than 5'4" and not rail thin, plan accordingly with your footwear. Most of all, have fun! This was my first rental and I'll definitely rent again!

I rented this dress for a black tie wedding and was immediately satisfied with my choice the moment I tried it on. The color is vibrant and really popped with my fair skin and blonde hair. It was comfortable to wear even with the slight mermaid bottom. I could dance and sit easily in it. I have a booty bump that the peplum really helped flatter with such a fitted dress. Definitely recommend this stunner!

The 2R was the perfect length on me with 4-5 inch heals.

The fabric on this dress is very thick and heavy so it really compliments any body shape. Light enough that it's comfortable but thick enough to hold you in. I wore this for the Army Ball and in a crowd of red dresses I still managed to stand out. It's the perfect mix of classy and sexy. Not to mention, my husband loved it too!

It fit like a glove! It was absolutely perfect to wear to my friends prom. It was so classy and elegant and looks perfect with simple jewelry, hair and make-up. The only conflict I faced was the length but that was mostly due to my height haha. So, if you're a similar height to me, I recommend getting a R size and a higher heel so it doesn't drag as much! Other than that, I couldn't have asked for a better dress or a better experience!

The only fit issue with the dress was the straps were loose. Not falling off my shoulders but if I was wearing a regular bra, I would have been concerned that the straps were showing. I opted for a strapless bra and had to use use the backless bra converters as the clasps on my bra was slightly showing in the back. Material is very nice and nice weight. I was concerned that the dress would be too short since the long wasn't available however it still worked with 3" heels on.

I'm 5'6 and ordered a 4R because I had 4 inch heels that I got to wear with them. It fit really nicely but the fabric was so heavy and it was really warm. It was perfect for prom or any formal event. The black in the pictures is just the slip i got for the dress, it's not actually on the dress!

I receive the 0R & 2R and when I first tried the 0 on I thought it was a bit too tight but the 2 was too big. Wore the size 0 and it looked amazing! Got so many compliments! Had many say I was the best dressed at prom. Very figure flattering (gives you curves even if you don't have any). I wore 3 1/2" heels and length was perfect. Such a classy dress! Wish I could keep it! Totally recommend Rent The Runway & this Dress!!!

It fits very well, it's thicker than you expect. It's in great shape, and very flattering. I would say if you're over 5'7 and you plan on wearing heels, get a Long, mine barely grazed the floor and I was wearing flats

The fit was true to size. The length was a bit too long even with 4in heels but it wasn't a problem because of the flow of the dress. In fact I felt it made me look taller, not an easy feat for someone my height. I did have to buy a new bra that would not show in the arm opening and in the back. Everything about this dress is stunning, the fabric, the fit, and the color which is a true red. I received so many compliments and truly felt beautiful wearing it. I am grateful for the help of the online chat representative as this was a last minute addition to my exiting order.

This dress does well for curvy ladies! It is well proportioned. The only con is that the shoulders seemed to be a little loose. Other than that it was a perfect fit!

I rented this dress for the Marine Corps Ball. It was everything I hoped it would be and more! The dress is made of a heavy and sturdy material that falls nicely and stays smooth and wrinkle free. The peplum is unbelievably flattering. The only complaint is that it was very long and tall heels/hem tape is a must.

This was my first RTR dress! I wore this dress to a fundraising gala and it was PERFECT for the event. Very suitable for a black tie affair. I received several compliments. I wore a 4" heel and the length was fine for me. You can absolutely wear a bra. I would recommend a strapless bra to prevent any part of the bra showing.

The RTR staff made my first rental experience pleasant and painless. I was apprehensive about the whole process since I was renting a dress I'd never seen in person, nor had I tried it on. I have an athletic, but curvy, body and wanted a dress that would accentuate my small waist, and tastefully show off my backside. This BCBG gown was a perfect fit, and the finished look was exactly what I was going for. I paired the gown with classic statement accessories: Cara Dress Me Up bracelet, and Slate & Willow Solar Flare earrings. I am 5'8", wore gold strappy flats, and the dress swept the ground perfectly. Quality material! If there is any complaint I have, it would be with the finicky zipper. Overall, this dress is amazing. I received compliments all night, and felt like the belle of the ball!

The fabric of this dress is very forgiving, it stretches just enough to make the dress look like it was made for you but is thin enough that it doesn't look like the fabric is struggling. I have thighs and a booty, I wore spanx but the peplum plus the little flare at the bottom made the dress very flattering. I ordered the 6L and the 8L. I only tried on the 6L because it fit perfectly. After reading prior reviews I was planning on wearing some massive 4'/4'5 inch heels but the dress wasn't long enough (I'm not actually positive I received the 6L instead of the 6) but I wore 2'5 inch heels and they worked perfectly. Also I was able to wear a regular bra which was nice.. had a little trouble with it showing at moments bc the back is just low enough that you sort of have to be aware of it but I danced the night away. All and all a wonderful dress and a wonderful experience with rent the runway! Very painless. Looking forward to renting again!

I tried on the 4R and it looked nice, but the 2L was stunning! This dress hugged all the right curves and made my body look fantastic. It was just the right amount of classy and sexy, which is exactly what I wanted. I really liked the beautiful color and how the bottom of the skirt moved . I wore fairly high heels under the 2L and the length was perfect, but it might be a little long with shorter heels. The material was comfortable (not too thick or thin), but doesn't stretch much so make sure you get the right size.

This dress was perfect for my black tie company party, I usually wear a 2, but thought I would take my chances with a 0L since the 2L was not available. It was snug, but fabric is forgiving so fit nicely. Felt good all night and got lots of compliments. I was 2.5-3 in heels and length was great (I'm 5'7). I would definitely recommend this dress and RTR to others.

This dress is just gorgeous! I'm a 4 up top and a 6 on the bottom, so I got the 6R with a 4R backup and ended up wearing the 4. It was a little loose in the shoulders so I used fashion tape to stick the straps to me; just enough insurance so I didn't have to think about it. I think if I had a larger bust it would have been fine. I wore a Nu Bra since the back dipped below my regular bra line. I'm only 5'3" but with my tallest heels, it dragged the floor only a little in the back but didn't show my feet. The lining of the dress had come apart from the dress itself which made zipping it a bit difficult, but it didn't bunch or anything. Overall, gorgeous dress that I got compliments on all night. Wish I could own it!

I am short, so I was worried about length being I didn't have platform shoes. I was able to get away with my regular heels in that I was not tripping over the hem of the dress. It fit perfectly with a regular strapless bra. The material is heavy and substantial but not overwhelming. It was great b/c it was not thin or flimsy so that you didn't have to worry about what would show underneath. It flattered my body type to the extreme. I have hips, a booty, broad shoulders, and I am not a full B cup. Beautiful color. I loved this dress. It made me feel like I was on the red carpet. Oh, and it's not confining! I danced all night!

I fell in love with this dress the first time I saw it! The 4R was perfect for me, I was a little worried that it wouldn't fit in my bust area but when I put on the dress it fit like a glove! This dress hugged me in all the right areas and was so fun and comfortable to dance in with the little flare at the bottom. I'm only 5'0 so there was a lot of dress on the floor but with about 4" heels there was only an inch on the ground I wasn't even tripping on it! The red is a brilliant bright vibrant color that looks good on any skin color (even pale which I am) and the fit is sexy without showing skin so it's perfect for any age! I highly recommend this dress to everyone! I felt beautiful in it and was so sad when the night was over

The strap area was a little loose, but still felt secure. The length was perfect! I wore it to a military ball with my boyfriend and it was stunning. So perfect. Couldn't be more pleased with this dress.

Super comfy and easy to wear. Fabric is nice and heavy and sturdy. Doesn't cling to under garments or skin. I added a belt to accentuate my waist and give me a nice hourglass shape.

I could have worn either the 0 or 2, the 0 was just a little more fitted. I have a very narrow rib cage and small chest so smaller was a good idea but it is very fitted so a larger chest or ribcage might do better with a larger size. It is a little stretchy but keeps everything in place. The dress was in great condition and everything went really smoothly!
