This was my FAVORITE rental yet! I did not want to return this dress and I am still heartbroken that I do not own it. It does run small, so I would suggest having your backup size be a size up. Pictures do not do this dress justice, it shimmers in the sun and is absolutely gorgeous. Received compliments all night and it was super fun to dance in. Even though it was a bit tight on my ribcage, it was comfortable and I did not have to wear a bra.

Wore this dress for a wedding in Miami in the fall. This was actually my 3rd pick because my 2nd pick was damaged before they could ship it to me. RTR contacted me and let me pick a 3rd dress at no extra cost and everything arrived on time without a hitch. Dress was a little snug so I would say it runs small, but honestly I've found that a lot of designers dresses run a little smaller than my normal size. I usually wear a 4 or 6 in a dress and this was a snug 6 but it still worked perfectly. Received Lots of compliments from other guests asking where I got my dress. Will definitely be renting again!

The fit was snug in the torso/rib cage, but honestly I think it was a perfect snug given that it's essentially a strapless dress. It stayed in place all evening without pinching my skin. The dress has a silver strand sewn throughout, and that makes it much more glamorous in person. I went to hug the bride and wish her congratulations, and she stopped to say "Oh my god, you're dress is amazing!" It was a lightweight dress, which made it PERFECT for the humid 90 degree outdoor wedding. Would rent again!

The fit was perfect and the color and fabric is amazing. This dress photographs so well. It's so much prettier in person. The model pic doesn't do it justice. I seriously had compliments all evening long. Total confidence booster after having a baby 6 months ago!

I was SO nervous getting this dress since I didn't get the right style last rent the runway round, but I'm so happy I got the 8R - perfect fit! Just loved the fit and the up/ down hem. Waist and length could not have been more perfect. LOVE!

So this definitely runs tight around the rib cage, and if you have a bigger bust it causes a little bit of a squish in the armpit which wasn't super flattering. However the colors are gorgeous and the sparkle is perfect! Wore it for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductions and it was perfect for brushing shoulders with rock stars at the VIP events.

This dress was absolutely beautiful! It is a little darker in person than it photographs, it comes off a little more navy blue and less purple than it looks. There is also beautiful silver sparkles throughout the dress! The dress was a little bit tight around my ribcage, but I got used to it and it didn't really bother me after about thirty minutes. Overall the dress was gorgeous, relatively comfortable, and easy to wear! I got a lot of compliments all night.

Fantastic dress. Selected this option after other reviews from customers. Many compliments on the color, fit and flow of the gown. The 8R did fit but I opted for the 10R to have a bit more room in the bust. Would definitely recommend for future renters!

I ordered a size up based on previous reviews, I'm glad I did. This dress fit perfect. And was a lot prettier in person. It was a little long in the back, I had to wear my highest heels and it still touched the ground a little bit. Overall it was a comfortable dress and I would definitely recommend renting

I am normally somewhere between a 6 or 8 in dresses, I have a large chest (34DD) so I figured I'd be OK with the 8.. but it wouldn't quite zip up aver my chest. RTR was great and sent me a size 10 overnight. The 10 actually worked perfectly.. a little loose around the waist.. but that was great because I didn't have to worry about how many Hors d'oeuvres I ate at cocktail hour. lol. I'm pretty tall and I wore this with about 4 inch heels, the dress was a few inches off the ground.. but would probably be touching the ground on a shorter person... This dress was absolutely beautiful and everyone loved it! highly recommend.. but be weary if you have a large chest.

I brought this dress with me on my girls trip to Vegas! It was gorgeous and I received so many compliments. The top is tight so keep that in mind. It is so shimmery, perfect for a party!

I didn't want to return this dress! I wore it for a summer wedding and it was a hit - I've never received so many compliments before! The material is light and flowy and complimented my figure very well. I am 5'11" and with 3" heels, this dress was still long enough for me. I was also able to wear the dress without a bra, which was nice. I normally wear a size 6 in dresses, but found it a little tight and difficult to zip up the back. The size 8 fit perfect, so was happy that I sized up for my back-up. Overall, another amazing dress and experience!

So as other reviewers mentioned this dress has sparkle that doesn't show up in photos! In person though it is a bit glittery, so it is a bit fancier than it appears...but still summer wedding appropriate! It also photographs a little purple but in reality it is a deeper blue. Overall I LOVED this dress. One of my favorites that I've rented from RTR so far :) Fits tight in the rib cage area, so maybe order your second size up :)

This dress was amazing! Like the other reviews said, it is actually red and dark blue with silver threads throughout. But looks purple in pictures. The dress is snug but comfortable. It fit great, but I ate and drank a lot at dinner. Then it started to feel a little too tight. But it was still comfortable to dance in. I chose to wear a bra with this dress which made it feel even more tight, but I could have gone without one too. Overall it was a great dress !

This dress was amazing! The shoulder straps were a little confusing but once I figured it out it was good for the night. I got compliments on the dress all night. I wish I could have kept it!

I'm usually a standard size 6 but this 6 was a little tight on top. I still wore the 6 because the 8 was a little big. Definitely wouldn't work for someone with a large chest. Overall, I loved it!

The fit is perfect everywhere except for the strap that's off the shoulder which was a little too loose. It seemed like it got pulled/stretched from the last few wears, but it's nothing that's not fixable. I think a little fashion tape or even a pin would've solved that tiny problem. Otherwise, it's a very pretty, flirty and flowy dress and I think it would be especially great for an outdoor wedding. Length is 100% perfect for me (I tried it on with 4" heels). Also, other comments said the color of the dress is really dark blue but it actually does have a violet tone to it. The only reason I didn't wear this dress is because it was only a backup and my main dress fit really well too! This the problem when there are too many good dresses available at your disposal :) Thanks ,RTR! So glad I found this site!

It fit me like a glove. I ordered a 8R and 10R as backup bc I saw that some ppl thought it ran small. I am a 34barelyB so I was very loose on top in the 8R. RTR was great and quickly shipped a size 6R no problem. I am a hippy gal and was worried the 6R wouldn't fit as cute there but that wasn't the case! I felt like a princess for sure! I'll pass along the tip I learned that the dress has silver thread running threw it that doesn't show well. I am so glad I went for the sparkly shoes bc it matched the dress perfectly. The shoes are nine west from DSW. They weren't to tall which is what I liked but I did step on the train a few times but only during dancing; so it wasn't a huge problem. All in all I loved this dress and my first experience with RTR. The compliments alone were worth it!

I wore this dress for a September wedding. It fit well, and the details are amazing. It is a unique, fun dress. Everyone kept asking me where I got the dress. I wish I could have kept it!

This dress was so beautiful. It ran a little small so I had to wear the bigger size. The strap was really loose so I had to safety pin it in the back so it didn't fall off my shoulder. It doesn't show up in pictures but it is actually very sparkly. Overall great dress and I would definitely rent it again.

This dress is beautiful! I loved the deep blue color with the pattern and subtle shimmer. Other reviews had me worried that it might be too small in the bust, but I thought it fit perfectly, snug and secure. I had also been a little worried about the length, but it was just right with my heels on. The dress really speaks for itself, so I just paired it with black pumps and some simple long silver earrings with blue stones. I got so many compliments on this dress, and I felt like a princess all night. I definitely recommend it!

I wore this for my 30th birthday party and we did a semi-formal masquerade. This dress fits perfectly in the bust, the draping on the shoulder is beautiful, and the high-low skirt keeps it from being too formal. Loved this dress, didn't want to send it back and every time I go to rent a new dress, I am half tempted to rent it again just because I know how gorgeous it is on!

This gown was simply stunning! I received so many compliments, I wish I could wear it again! I would highly recommend renting a size bigger than you typically wear (ie. if you wear a 2 in Loft, I would rent a size 4 and 6). I wore the 4, it was still snug, but the 6 didn't fit as well. The material and quality were in absolute perfect condition. Rent this dress!!

I really liked this dress. I was worried that it wouldn't be dressy enough for a wedding because it was labeled a "maxi" but it was kind of sparkly and perfect for the beachy sort of wedding I wore it to. I'm only 5'4" and the hi-lo style was the perfect length with wedge heels. I wore it in the regular length. Got tons of compliments. Wish I could keep it!

When I first opened the Rent the Runway package, I was concerned because the dress had looked purple in the photos I saw, but it was clearly royal blue and red up close, which was fine but totally not what I had expected...but then I tried it on and stepped in front of a mirror and was pleased to see that it looked much more like it did in photos and was really flattering and comfortable. I thought that it ran true to size, however, the top doesn't have much give, so it would probably be uncomfortable on someone with a larger chest I really enjoyed wearing this dress and was sad to have to give it back!

I was looking on RTR for a dress that would be different then anything I'd seen, yet also fit the "Midsummer Night's Dream" theme of my annual fundraiser. And I found it - this dress is unbelievably beautiful and flows so gracefully. I want to buy it, that's how much I enjoyed it! Although I am a bit shorter, the dress lengthened me and made me feel like I was really walking the red carpet!

If you are large chested I wouldn't recommend, luckily I am not so I didn't have a problem, but definitely very fitted in the chest. A Other than that fit as expected!

Dress was beautiful. You can't see from the photos but it had silver threads all throughout. It was bohemian but also dressy. I absolutely loved it and received so many compliments. Design is kind of primitive print so I wore chunky silver bracelet and chunky silver necklace. Pewter Calvin Klein shoes. Found a perfect wrap in Macy's with this "ink" color and rhinestones. Perfect for a woman with a smaller waist and big hip/thighs. It was so forgiving and it was also so comfortable. The top stayed put really well. It was very age-appropriate for a woman over 50. The only problem was that it was too long in the back. I am 5'3" and my heels were about 3" high and it was too long, but the fabric tape worked. Final comment is how great RTR is!! I am hooked! Dress came right on time, beautifully packed in a garment bag you get to keep. Soooo much looking forward to dropping the dress off at UPS tomorrow morning rather than the dry cleaners!

I loved this dress on the website and I had never ordered from Rent the Runway before because dresses tend to fit me funny. I am very small on the top and wider on the bottom so I like to try things on. After reading all of the reviews and looking at the pictures it seemed like everyone liked this dress and it looked good on literally everyone so I gave it a whirl. My order actually came a day early which was great and I had read reviews saying the top ran small, but since I don't have a bust really I wasn't too concerned. It is tight even for those without a large bust! I usually wear a size 4 and the 4 fit like a glove. It had some loose strings which I snipped, but other than that it was great. It is a really flattering dress and didn't make my wide hips look big at all! I got a lot of compliments and would definitely order from RTR again.

This dress is so pretty! There are cons-the waistband part is very small, the straps do not stay separated and while my chest felt securely in place if they were any larger they wouldn't have fit in the top. I did not need a bra. Overall this dress was good for my event, I was by the ocean and it was a little chilly so I wore a black bolero so the strap didn't even show. The waistband was tight but it was flowy below that so it wasn't squeezing anything that shouldn't be squeezed and eating wasn't a problem because the band was around my rib cage. I probably wouldn't rent this again but it did work for what I needed it for.

Definitely runs small - I am a B cup and have a fairly small waist, but I needed a size 10.

Super comfy. Length was great. Shoulder strap was a little loose but not terrible. The color was great for an outdoor wedding. I ordered up a size for my backup based on reviews but I think it was true to size and should've ordered a size down as the backup.

Fit really well, tighter in the top. Usually a size 6 but went up in size to make sure it fit perfect! Loved how comfortable I was all night. It has a lot of sparkle in person which was perfect for optional black tie!

Liked the dress but think it looks stunning on brunettes. I wanted the other print but it was not available so I rented this one. I received lots of compliments and loved that I could wear it without a bra even with a 36DD chest. It was tight though in the ribs and chest area which made it a tiny bit uncomfortable.

Unexpected silver/sparkle in the dress and more red white and blue vs. the purple I thought it was online. See close up pic to get a good view of fabric. Beautiful dress, very flattering. Straps were a little strange, I just wore them all together like a one strap and it worked perfectly.

Overall, the dress was beautiful! I got so many compliments all night from people saying they loved it. Great for a formal event, and very comfortable. It was also very nice on a hot day because it was so flowy and open. The only downside for me was that it was very long. I wore 5 inch heels all night and it just grazed the ground in the back. No taking my shoes off to dance later! It did run a bit small, as mentioned by other people, but I made sure to order a size up and it was fine (sans strapless bra). I would totally rent this dress again if I have another formal event.

I rented this dress to wear to my birthday dinner on a vacation to NYC. I normally wear a 2 but this was a 0 and I was able to squeeze in. The 2 would have been much better but even the smaller size looked great. Since it was so tight I was able to get get away with not wearing a bra

It fit perfectly, though I'm small chested. Much prettier in person. Complimented all night and stood out from a sea of tight, short dresses at a summer wedding.
