it was a show stopper!! I wore it for a 1920s themed wedding, compliments all night long! no need for a bra, and fit perfectly. the straps on the 6 were a bit worn from being rented so many times, but I had no wardrobe malfunctions. will definitely be renting again!

The dress is pretty short and the slit is hug on the size 6. Overall I loved the dress, besides having to pull it down at my sorority formal dance it was a great pic! Everyone loved it.

Wore it to my sorority formal. Fit perfectly and was very comfortable. This was my second time using RTR and it didn't disappoint.

I'm very pear shaped, so the size 8 was a little big in the bust area (which ended up being a good thing because I had to tape the sides down). It cuts very far to the front of the chest, which could be a problem for bustier women. It fit me perfectly in the hips though! It did ride up a little but it wasn't that much of a problem. Also, the fabric is not as bright of a gold as shown in the picture! It's more of a bronze and black material.

Other than a few nips and tucks, the dress fit true to size. I did have to use some fashion tape to prevent any side boob action and had to safety pin the back panels so they would lay smoothly. The slit on the front of the dress at first feels a bit risqué but surprisingly, was comfortable and gave me no issues throughout the night. I received tons of compliments and if you're not afraid to turn a few heads, go for it! Just an FYI - the detailing around the edges is black, not gold.

The straps in the back wouldn't stay flat and fashion tape did not work on the mesh, but even still, it was absolutely gorgeous and the rest fit well. I have small breasts and was worried how I'd look without a little padding from my bra but it still looked great. Highly recommend. I did not want to return this dress!!!

I rented this dress specifically for the reception of a wedding. I felt like a goddess in it! So comfortable and fit so perfectly. The open back and the slit on the side are perfect. I ordered an adhesive bra from RTR with my order, which worked well, but this dress honestly didn't need a bra if you are a smaller busted woman. I paired this one with a gold bracelet, long gold earrings and nude pumps.

I loved the dress. I didn't think the slit ran too big at all. It is really form fitting and might run a tiny bit small, I'd recommend to size up for the extra size. I wore it for my 21st and everyone seemed to like it!

I didn't really know my dress size when I rented this dress, so I ended up renting one size too big. Even with the dress being a little loose on me, it still managed to look great. It's definitely something unique and memorable!

Was nervous to order this dress in a zero, but it fit perfect! The slit is larger than it appears to be in the photo. Absolutely loved the open back! So pleased with RTR once again! I would recommend to size up.

I rented a 6 and an 8, but I should have rented a 4 and 6. The 6 fit very well overall, except the back part was a bit loose. The slit was WAY too high though, so I had to attach some black fabric to make it more appropriate. The color of the material did look different from the original picture, as the other reviews have said. A backless bra is a must- the sticky one from VS works great, and I loved not having to mess with a strapless dress all night. Overall I loved the dress and got a ton of compliments on it!

This dress really surprised me- I loved the unique detail in the back and the gold lace detail throughout the dress. I had originally ordered it as a back up but ended up falling in love with it. Very comfortable, not too short, the perfect mix of classy and sexy for a sorority formal- plus black and gold are my sorority's colors. It's very unique- unlike the normal dresses I rent- but I got a ton of compliments and really enjoyed wearing it!

Such a pretty dress! The pictures don't even do it justice. The 6 was unavailable, so I sized up and wore the 8, which was a true 8. It was a little loose on me, especially in the bust, but I was glad for the extra length (the slit runs VERY high!) Overall, beautiful dress for any formal event.

Normally I'm nervous about wearing open back dresses because I have a larger bust size, but with some fashion tape and sticky boobs the dress was comfortable all night! It was really flattering for my waist and my hips, and almost everyone I talked to the night of my semiformal said they loved the dress. I wore an up-do with it because I didn't want to detract from the gorgeous dress but I think you could wear your hair up or down. The dress color was a little darker than what I thought it looked like in the picture but I still ended up liking the way it looked.

This dress was lovely! It was very slimming and elegant. I received so many compliments all night long, I was sad to send it back! The slit on the 0 hit me perfectly, not too short, which is something I was concerned about based on other reviews. The size 2 slit, however, was much higher. The back of the dress really made it special. Also with this dress, you must wear a backless bra. I will definitely rent from RTR again!

This dress fit exactly as I expected, thanks to the other reviews and photos. For being 5'4" and on the short side, I was surprised how high the slit was, so I wore tights to not make it so dramatic (would have been showing too much leg without the tights). The back of this dress is divine, and the gold is eye catching and just enough glam. It was comfortable too, an added benefit. Very pleased with the dress and the experience!

It fit great although I did pin the slit a bit as it comes up super high!!! I have nothing up top so I used some sticky gel assistance from my friend VS.

I loved this dress! I ordered a 4 and a 2, and 2 was definitely the better fit. It fits the body so nicely and has the perfect amount of stretch. From the picture of the model I thought it would be a stiffer fabric, but it fits a little more like a bodycon. The color was gorgeous as well as the open back. My only minor complaint was that the two flaps on the back were loose and didn't lay completely flat, but that was easily overlooked. It didn't ride up and was easy to dance in. I received compliments all night and my date loved it! Thanks RTR! (Sorry that the picture is so dark)

The slit on the thigh runs a little high and you will definitely need a sticky bra, but other than that it was a fantastic dress and I received many compliments that night!

Fit was awesome - a little bit of gapping in the back with the mesh overlay, but expected that from the reviews. The material was great and the piping gave it nice shape. It came the day of the party I needed it for, so I was glad it worked so well. Definitely more original than a typical LBD.

The fit is absolutely perfect. The length is not too short and not too long and the slit on the bottom is very flattering. In person, the color is more dark gold than yellow gold as shown on the model and the back is very beautiful with the black mesh. Given the way the back of the dress is, it is hard to wear a bra so I just went without and was completely fine. It is one of my favorite dresses that I have ever worn. I would definitely recommend this dress for anyone who wants to look classy and stand out at an event.

I adore this dress. I wore it for my birthday in Las Vegas and got many compliments. Two of my other friends tried this dress on as well and it looked great on both of them (two very different body types). Some other reviews said the slit was high on them, but I didn't have that problem being only 5'4". Unfortunately I didn't have a picture of the back of the dress, which was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this dress, it is very flattering. I have rented many times through rent the runway, and this one is in my top three. I almost didn't want to send this dress back!

Felt really sexy in this dress! The back is awesome (sorry not pictured). I probably should have worn the 2 because I was constantly pulling it down/the slit closed all night, but that's just me not being used to wearing something so revealing haha and the top fit much better in the 0. Wore it with black shoes because it has a darker look than the model picture shows. Very Vegas and very rockstar!

I wore this dress for my high school homecoming and I couldn't be happier! The dress fit perfectly, it wasn't skin tight, but it was fitted which was perfect. There were only a couples problems that I had with the dress. The first one was that the dress is a lot darker in color than the pictures makes it seem, but that didn't cause a problem. The next was that I ordered a 2 and a 4 and the 4 seemed to fit more snug than the 2, but other than that the dress was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering renting it.

This dress was perfect for the occasion! I received so many compliments on the style and the fit was perfect my petite frame. This was my first time using RTR and I have been recommending it ever since!

I wasn't sure about this dress when I saw it on the model but when I saw it on the renters it sparked my interest. I fell in love with the back & decided to go for it. Let me tell you one of the best decisions I've ever made. I got complimented on this dress ALL night long! Super comfortable and flattering. I'm usually a 6 in BCBG dresses but the back up order size 4 I ordered winded up fitting better. I LOVED this dress and my first RTR experience was a complete success. I don't think I'll buy another dress ever again. and yes I know this picture is stupid but I could't find one that I didn't look drunk in

I am in the middle of losing weight for my wedding. I am between a 10 and a 12. It fit very well. A little big in the chest area, but you couldn't tell. I wish I had a picture of the back. Soo pretty. It made me feel like an 8. Highly recommend this one. Very happy!

LOVED THIS RENTAL! This dress was absolutely gorgeous in real life. Amazing fit and felt really expensive. I received tons of compliments on it throughout the night. It's a very flattering silhouette for curvy gals. One thing to note: this dress is SHORT...even for short girls! I chose this for a reception-only wedding at a casual restaurant and it worked great. But I definitely wouldn't have worn it for a typical wedding. I'm only 5'3 (just barely) and the slit went up higher than mid-thigh. I uploaded pictures of how it looked standing up and "squatting" for a photobooth picture. The dress would ride up even higher when I was sitting down, so I had to be strategic using my dinner napkin :) I could have worn the Size 4 instead if I was really paranoid about the length, but the rest of the Size 4 was too big (especially the straps in the back). All in all, great dress. Wished I owned it so I could wear it again for New Years or a sassy Christmas party.
