This dress definitely runs large. I usually wear a 6/8 in dresses, so I ordered both the medium and the small. The medium was enormous on me, so I wore the small, but I think the XS would have been even better. The small fit and looked good, but there was still lots of room to spare. I would definitely recommend sizing down at least one size on this dress, especially for my petite sisters. I was able to wear a regular bra with this dress and it didn't show at all. Regardless of the larger fit, I loved this dress! It was unique and special, I got lots of compliments, and I felt confident and comfortable all night. I didn't want to return this dress after the wedding - in fact, my fiance says I should buy it, I think I'm going to!

I really liked this dress. It was light, comfy, and a fun design that I normally wouldn't wear. I was able to chase my toddler around in this dress without much issue which is a definite plus for me. It was a little long, so I had to wear heels with it. However, I loved the pockets and back cut out and I got several compliments throughout the night.

Perfect for brunch!

I wore this to a close friend's beach wedding in May in the Dominican, and it was exactly what I needed. I was breastfeeding at the time, and I needed a comfortable dress that I could wear a nursing bra underneath. The cutout in the back was low enough that my bra couldn't be seen. The stretchy waistband with adjustable tie was nice for my mommy tummy. Some reviews said the fabric was a little thin, but I thought it was great for the 85 degree weather. The length was just a tiny bit long for me, but the wind on the beach kept me from stepping on the bottom hem. Beautiful colors and the slit and cutout gave it just enough sass for this Mama to feel sexy!

Love this dress. I'm a size 8. Last time I rented this in a Medium it dragged on the floor and was very roomy. This time I got the small and it was just right. Either would fit me though, so depends if you like a little extra room or prefer the underneath skirt shorter or not. Also, while you can dress this up or down, I noticed people on the reviews wore it to weddings. It's a cotton throw on dress, so I personally couldn't imagine wearing it to a formal affair. Maybe with a heels to a afternoon baby shower or something, but my personal opinion is it's an everyday type dress,,, BBQ, out to dinner, etc!

I ended up picking another dress for a beach wedding I'm attending but this dress was a close second. The material makes it a little more formal than a beach cover up but I felt like in pictures it might still get mistaken for a fancier bathing suit cover up. Nonetheless, it's super cute and SO COMFORTABLE. The back is also pretty cool.

I'm only 5 foot five, this dress fit perfect with flats. It is lightweight.

This dress was all sorts of awesome! Definitely different than anything I would normal pick for myself. It's so lightweight, great for warm weather. Don't let the cut out In the back scare you. You can wear a regular bra and it won't show. Plus pockets! I would suggest get a backup size down from your regular size and see which one you like better. I'm normally a large, but ended up wearing a medium. Give this dress a try!

Rented this for a trip to Greece. The dress was flattering (slimming) and also sexy due to the back cut out. It was also extremely comfortable and light weight. Perfect for a sweltering cooking class followed by wine tasting and a Santorini sunset.

I am 5'7", 159lbs., 36B and I wore the small. (I'm always scanning the reviews for this info so I thought I'd put it first.) This dress was a winner! I wore it for a rehearsal dinner. It was flowy and very fun! I ordered the medium and the small. Usually I go for the medium, but that looked a little "frumpy." The small hugged in just the right places. It seemed to ride up just a smidge in the back, but it wasn't a bit deal. You could see through the fabric because it was so light. I had to wear nude colored undergarments otherwise they would have shown. I couldn't really keep anything other than a chapstick in the pockets because it would have dragged the dress down. My phone fit, but was a little heavy.

It is on the larger size so I'm glad that I got an extra small....it fit perfectly! I felt beautiful and LOVED this dress!!!

I wore a medium because I am more pear shaped. It was a tad large on my bust but in order for the bottom to fit more comfortably I chose medium over the small and wore a navy half cami underneath.

I rented this dress for a casual weekend getaway but could easily dress it up with jewelry and a heel to wear for a wedding! As others said, it did run large and I ended up wearing the small. So many compliments from friends and strangers I wish I could keep it!

I love the back of the dress. It was very light but not see through. It is very comfortable. I wore this to my baby shower (I gave birth 5 weeks before to a preemie) and felt very comfortable in it post baby body.

I had no idea what to wear to a tented party in July; I knew it would be insanely hot outside, but I still wanted to look nice. So glad I stumbled across this dress! The material is super light and airy, perfect for a summer party outdoors, and the colors are vibrant and beautiful. I looked at the reviews before I ordered, which basically all recommended to size down -- would definitely agree with that! I am usually a medium through and through, but the small fit really well (I got the M as my backup just in case but didn't even end up bothering to try it on). You can see that the length of the smaller "high" skirt underneath is perfect, too, which can be a concern for dresses that run large as they often don't think to accommodate that part of a dress, at least in my experience. Even though the open back space seems high, I was so happy to find that I could wear a regular bra with this without a problem. One thing I'll say after reading through the reviews -- I was fully expecting to have to wear wedges with this since everyone was saying how long it was, but I nearly jumped for joy when I put the small on and it fell justtttt above the ground (I'm almost 5'6"). Would definitely rent again!

This dress was really perfect for a summer time brunch event. The cut out in the back made it fun, but, was in the perfect spot that you could wear a regular bra. The short inside long outside added another fun element. I can never pass up a dress with pockets so that was another win. Over all, a great comfortable dress to throw on and enjoy a summer day!

This was a backup vacation dress because the original one I wanted was sold out. I'm so thankful it was because this dress was amazing! Light material for a hot day of wine tasting. Very unique hem line with the high low skirt and open back. Loved the pockets! I was able to wear a strapless bra so problem with it. I seriously felt ethereal every time I walked with how the dress flowed. It is long though! I'm 5'9" and was wearing flats and it was slimming the ground. But that just added to the effect. Did not want to return at all!

So many compliments and this dress was so comfortable to wear. I'm always between mediums/ larges and the medium fit me beautifully. I had to wear a wedge with the skirt to keep it from dragging and I'm 5'6". I'd buy this dress if I could. I loved it!

I can't tell you the last time I've worn a size small, but after I read the reviews I ordered a small and a medium for backup. I didn't even bother trying on the medium since the small was already fitting on the bigger side! I have a large chest and wore a regular bra comfortably without it showing in the back. It was incredibly comfortable and light weight making it perfect for a summer/beach wedding!

I rented this dress for my sister-in-laws casual bridal shower. I was nervous about it but chose it based on the reviews. I absolutely loved the fit. The draw string allows for it to be cinched in at the waist and the neckline is flattering. I received a ton of compliments! It was perfect for a casual spring bridal shower!

This dress is quite summery and probably should be worn May-September, but I couldn't help myself! I wore this to an October wedding and I received so many compliments. It was so comfortable and easy! No complaints with this one.

I loved wearing this dress. It was perfect for a semi-casual outdoor vineyard/barn wedding. The open back detail is my favorite! I'm 5'3" and it was a bit long for me but I wore heels so it wasn't an issue. The drawstring tie waist was also nice.

Love, love, LOVE this dress! The pattern and colors of this dress are absolutely gorgeous, and the light-weight fabric is perfect for a hot summer day or night. Running true to size, the extremely useful pockets and drawstring at the waist makes this look easy and comfortable to wear. Keep in mind, however, that the drawstring only affects the front of the dress, and the back is elastic below where it is open. In addition, although the slit in front of the dress may seem high, there is a cute underskirt of the same pattern that comes about mid-thigh. This dress does run long in length, however, so we do recommend a heel for women shorter than 5'8". This dress can be worn with any standard bra, and the fabric does not have any stretch. Keeping this lack of stretch in mind, we do recommend sizing up for your backup size. Pair this dress with a pair of wedges and subtle gold and silver jewelry, and you've got a perfect go-to Summer look!

It was such a comfortable dress and I loved the color of it. It was really light too which was perfect for an outdoor August event. I wish it was a little longer but I am 5'10.

I loved this dress. It was so comfy and flowy but I still felt dressed up. Loved the longer "skirt" over the shorter dress underneath. I gave it 4 stars only because this ran a bit big. Thank goodness for the draw string tie around the waist (which i had to tie pretty tight) otherwise it would have looked like I was wearing a bed sheet. Tying it this tight also made the opening in the back look a little slouchy/frumpy, but as I mentioned, overall, I loved wearing this dress and would definitely recommend to others!

Really comfortable dress with a super cute cut-out back. I got the small and medium. Both fit but I was slightly self-conscious in the small based on how it fit around my rear (aka, it was a little snug there). I wore the medium to a low-key engagement party and received tons of compliments.
