Initially, i wanted to avoid wearing black to the wedding (a black-tie affair) but when the colorful dress i planned to wear became unwearable, i quickly ordered this from my Favorites list at RTR. It arrived just in time. It was perfect. Especially liked that, because of the all-over and very-forgiving ruching, no menopausal bulges showed around my foundation garments and no girdle was needed. The dress struck all the right notes for what i wanted in an age-appropriate style—long sleeves, long midi length, no slits, no cut-outs, and still had all the verve to be form-fitted fashionable with no dowdy. The cons were minor: sleeves were a bit too long, the garment tag scratchy. All in all, a beautifully constructed dress, quality through and through.

I loved that the fabric was stretchy enough for my 33 weeks preggo belly. However, the sleeves were a bit too much fabric for me 🥵 So I made a little adjustment and tied the sleeves around the front like a bow. That did the trick and still got many compliments!

Don’t sleep on this dress! It’s so good! A little sheer but was perfect for a Vegas night! I will warn you it’s hard to walk in but not terrible. Overall a really sexy, fun dress!

I LOVED this dress….YES it was see through. I wore it to dinner so other patrons MAY have gotten a glimpse of undergarments, but they would have to have been paying attention while the light hit perfect. The sparkle, the shape, it just worked amazing for me. The arms didn’t bother me like the other reviews and I am glad I took a chance!

This dress was really fun! It fit well and was a contender for a formal event I was going to. This was everyone’s vote when I asked for opinions. However, the dress was damaged and RTR having the amazing customer service they do sent me another dress to replace it (this one wasn’t available in my size). I ended up wearing the other one and it was a hit!

Comfortable and easy to wear. Material is soft and it stretches. I’m on the shorter side so it fell a little long but it didn’t matter. Lots of compliments!

Sheer material. It’s lovely but I couldn’t get past the sleeves as they are too long and bulky for my petite frame.

I had such high hopes for this dress and it is not at all what I expected. First of all, the sleeves are comically long. Second, it’s sparkly which is totally not my style. It’s a perfectly fine dress if you go into it with the expectation that the fabric is iridescent AND you have arms as long as your legs. Slay rating - 4/10

The amount of fabric used in this dress to give that scrunchy look is hilarious! Super cute, however. Due to the length, I would definitely wear with heels. I’m 5’7” for reference.

dress fit great and was so flattering ! need some tape to keep the top rolled down but was not a huge issue . I’d see through slightly, so be prepared with undergarments if you’d like it to be a little less riske

This dress was a great wedding guest dress! I am 5’6” and 150 lbs and the XL fit fine. I could’ve sized down but there wasn’t a smaller size available. I wore it with 3” pumps and didn’t feel that it was too long. As for the sleeves, they are longer but I pushed them up and they looked fine given the ruching on the rest of the dress. I chose to wear Spanx underneath to smooth everything out, but you wouldn’t have to if you didn’t want to.

Dress has no liner and long arms. Will need appropriate undergarments (full slip at a minimum). The arms are very long but add to the effect of the dress. Tons of compliments and felt very elegant with just the right level of sex appeal.

Fits perfectly and very flattering

Once I got past what to wear underneath I was good. This dress will make anyone look like a million bucks. It is very see through. I mean very. I went with a bandau bra to blend in the way the material went and had to go with some spanx because anything else you could see your underwear total outline. I mean no one can go without either.

Wanted to love it, but had too many problems for me. Putting it on wasn't easy, there was a flap at the top that didn't work with my chest size, stretched but not enough to walk with a full stride and just wasn't flattering for my body type. Definitely made for a taller person as well.

Very sheer. The zipper also bunches on the size beyond the ruching.

I rented this for a formal party. The dress is nice and the fabric has a slight sheen to it. The sleeves, however, are much too long - to the point that they would cover my hands entirely and still had about 5 inches of extra fabric dangling off. It was very uncomfortable to be constantly rolling up the sleeves.

This fit like a glove and was tight in the best way where it almost acted as spanx lol the sleeves were weirdly long? Which I could’ve dealt with but the top was super weird…it didn’t lay on shoulders right and would just flip up. That paired with the fact you could see my nipples straight through it (weird because the rest of the dress you couldn’t see thru) made it unwearable which was a bummer cause it would’ve been the perfect date night dress. Short gals beware cause I’m 5’8 and it came to my ankles (wondering if it would’ve been hard to walk?)

The sleeves are very long and the material is stretchy and sheer so it didn’t do anything for me.

The zipper buckled over itself as I tried to adjust the rusching to my shorter 5’ 4” stature. Not a good look.

I’m curvy and this squeezed me in all the wrong ways. The shoulders were cute but I died of laughter when I looked in the mirror. I did not wear it to my event.

I assumed from the picture that this was a black shear dress with a nude underlay, however there is no underlay. It is just shear and completely see-through. Make sure you have a slip dress to wear underneath

not my style

This did not have the stretch I thought it would have. I expected it to fit like the Norma Kamali but it has a side zipper and was generally uncomfortable. The top has a seam that is not elastic at all which made it very comfortable to move my arms. Couldn’t wear it for longer than 6 mins.
