I absolutely loved this dress! The detail is so beautiful. I ended up not getting to wear it because I got the stomach flu the day of the event (SUCH. A. BUMMER.), but I would rent (or buy!) it for another time. I would just say that this was very fitted and I probably could not gain more than a pound or 2 and still fit into it. The good news is you don’t need a bra (unless you’re really busty). I’m a 34D and was good braless. Also, I was inspired by another reviewer’s footwear and I honestly think the neon yellow pumps just take this whole look to the next level 🙌🏼 . P.S. I made my husband take this pic the next morning after my recovery because I couldn’t let this gorgeous dress go undocumented! 🤪

I purchased this dress from Rent the Runway to wear to my 50th birthday dinner/celebration, because...well, it's just magnificent. After reading others' reviews, I decided to size up to a L, despite usually wearing a size 6 in dresses, and I am so glad I did. There's very little give in the dress, and with a 34DD bust, I was pushing maximum capacity. I could have worn it with shapewear, but...meh. It was my birthday, and I wanted to be comfortable! At 5'8" barefoot, I was thrilled that the length of the dress was adequate for me; I find many dresses these days to be too short in the bodice, with the waistband/seam hitting me across the ribcage rather than my actual waist. Fortunately, the proportions of this one were perfect, even for someone who falls into the "kinda tall but not too tall" bucket. I highly recommend this dress if you want to feel like queen for a day!

I've been wanting to rent this dress for a wedding for a long time; I ended up finally going for it because everyone who had worn it looked so good in it!! It did not disappoint -- I felt absolutely STUNNING in this dress and got so many compliments. It's comfortable and so so flattering. Highly recommend!

The fit was true to size, the color was very unique and it made for a very classy look with a little bit of an edge since the back only has the lace detail! My FAVORITE RENTAL by far! I wish I could keep it!

People said that this dress looked tailored to me. It is so flattering to a curvy figure. The bold color is a standout. The lace is getting a bit worn and you definitely need a helper for that zipper. This is the third Alexis item I have rented, and I have loved them all.

I received so many compliments while wearing this dress to a wedding! It hugs your curves in all of the right places to emphasize a womanly figure like mine. The cobalt blue color is absolutely stunning and stands out amongst a crowd. I ended up pairing it with a matching blue coat since it was an outdoor winter wedding. To contrast with the dress, I wore cherry red heels to play off the primary blue color of the dress. I would absolutely recommend this dress for any special occasion as it is absolutely gorgeous on, a flattering fit, and a stunning color. The length is modest, but the lace allows for some skin to peek through and add a bit of edge. I will definitely rent again if I have another special event to attend!

Wore this to a bridal shower. I'm usually between an XS and Small... went with the Small and I'm glad I did. I imagine if it fits too tight, you'd be pulling down on the under-layer constantly. I've never received so many compliments on a dress. It really is gorgeous.

Stunning, thick quality dress that’s perfect for any occasion! Does not have any stretch to the fabric. First true to size, with a small bust. However, this dress comes with a big WARNING!! - The slip lining underneath of the outer blue knit fabric rides up A TON! I was told so many times that my shape wear was showing from my waist down! I even have a photo with the bride where my entire bottom half was showing through the blue knit and I had no idea. It rides up without you even realizing! Be sure to use something reliable that will keep your slip from riding up all night long. Or find a way to connect the two pieces of material together, so there’s no chance of it moving. Aside from the slip issue this dress is full of class!

Interesting design and very sexy. The pattern gives a nice hourglass illusion even tho I’m not that curvy. Went with another dress because this one felt a bit summery for the winter wedding but would rent again in the future.

I normally wear a size four dress and I'm a size B bra - this dress felt tight in my shoulders and arm pits. A large would have been too big, and otherwise it fit well.

The picture is of me wearing the dress with the zip completely open. It was so heartbreaking to see how gorgeous i Would have looked if this fit me. The large was not available but wouldn't have fit either. I am typically an 8 so this was disappointing

My favorite RTR dress ever! I would have purchased it if the system let me. It's thick and well constructed but doesn't make you look bulky. The color is vibrant and unique. The see-through parts are subtle enough that I could wear a nude bra and nude bodysuit shape wear underneath without seeing it. Originally, I ordered my normal size (medium) but couldn't even come close to zipping it up. Definitely size up.

Pros: fantastic color, good fit, sexy while still being conservative Cons: only one, which was that the blue slip underneath would ride up when I danced. Overall, I would absolutely rent this again.

This dress was super comfortable and totally flattering. The colors on the dress are royal blue and black (I don't really think you can pick up the black from the photo). Like others mention, you do need to be aware of the under skirt (?) portion as it can ride up when you sit down (so just make sure to adjust as you stand up). I did not wear shape wear underneath but you certainly could if you wanted. Great dress and would highly recommend!

This dress is perfect for a pop of color during winter months. I felt sleek and sophisticated... it was easy to sit and dance all night in!

Everything about this dress was perfect. It was easy to sit down in, dance in, walk in, all of it! I received a ton of compliments all night about how beautiful the color was. I rented an XS because I wanted it to fit a little more snug than normal and it worked out great. The sleeves weren't too restricting either! Highly recommend!!

The small fit great, snug in all the right places .. easy to dance in. Other reviews said the lining rode up but I didn't have a problem with it. Beautiful dress and lots of compliments.

I typically wear a 4, so I ordered the small with a medium as backup. After reading other reviews and seeing a lot of comments about the lining riding up, I opted for the medium since the slip (which has stretch to it) was a bit looser. It made for more comfortable dancing, eating, and sitting, so I'm glad I sized up. I felt so comfortable in the dress, and I lost track of how many compliments I received on it that night. It is sexy but classy, and it is my favorite dress I've ever worn other than my wedding dress. I would 100% recommend it.

I almost gave this a 5 but did not because the fit is indeed tighter. I read from reviews that the fit was a bit small on this one and it’s true simply because the dress does NOT stretch and it is thicker. So I usually would have ordered a M but went for L and had the perfect fit. So many compliments as this dress truly stands out! I wore it as a bridesmaid to a wedding. I most definitely recommend this dress, just know that it’s a bit thicker and not stretchy!
