The dress fit well, a little tight in the armseye, but not uncomfortably so. I'm a shortie (5'3") and wore flats. The dress just brushed the floor on me, but if you are any taller than 5'4" or are planning to wear heels, I would consider ordering the long length. Black silk = comfort galore. I felt like I was wearing pajamas the whole night. The accessory recommendations for this dress are spot on. I also rented the earrings and they were a hit.

I wore this dress at 39 weeks pregnant. I had to sing in a benefit concert and searched RTR's "bump friendly" section for hours. I love this designer, and knew that, because this is basically a shapeless dress with a belt, I could make it work with my massive bump! A few days before my event, RTR contacted me and told me that my dress had been returned damaged beyond repair and would not be ready for my event. I was devastated! But, they offered any other dress I wanted regardless of rental price, so I ordered the same dress one size up, as well as another as backup (free of charge). So glad this worked perfectly, thanks to RTR's as-always-amazing customer service!

I rented this dress as one of two for a trip to LA this past week. I wore this to walk around Rodeo drive, out to dinner with friends, and to fly in, etc. Casual wear. I felt like a million bucks, and received enough compliments to validate that sentiment. I did not wear this one to the formal Thursday night dinner as it was only a regular length, but worked well to wear flats casually. My ankles were still showing, but for going up and down all the stairs in the stores in LA, perfect. I wasn't tripping over myself. The material under the armpits however, was very, very restricting, hence it losing one star. Also, the buttons on the back of the dress are extremely hard to button and unbutton. I ended up tying the tie around the waist in a way to define my waist more. Much preferable.

This dress was perfect for a 1930's Old Hollywood theme party I attended. The art deco detail on the neckline was just what I needed for added bling without going over the top. The fabric of this dress is very light and flows nicely. The waist is elastic so the fit is quite generous... could easily go a size smaller than your standard dress size. At 5'3, I thought the length was a bit long... I had to wear my highest heals to prevent it from dragging on the ground.

I wore a 10L, but it was still quite short (although I am 6ft tall!). Very comfortable and I received lots of compliments!

The jersey drape and empire waist were perfect for my baby bump.

This dress was perfect for helping run (and attend) a 20s themed charity gala. I needed something that would accommodate a regular bra and hopefully allow me to wear flats, since I knew I'd be running around all night behind the scenes and up on stage. This was the perfect combo...comfy and just the right length to wear flats underneath. It did run a little big (I usually wear a 4, but the 2 fit perfectly). I was worried about it looking frumpy and bringing too much attention to my recently post-baby belly, but it was sleek and elegant and skimmed over everything. I paired it with a deco-style cuff I already owned, black flat sandals and did my hair in a low updo with a jeweled clip.

I rented this dress at 34 weeks for a wedding. I followed the reviews that said the dress runs large and ended up getting my normal, pre-pregnancy size...but in the long length to accommodate my bump. I didn't get a back-up size and it fit perfectly. Because the waist isn't fitted but has a tie, it really works nicely as a maternity dress. I was extremely comfortable, the long length ended up being perfect (even though I'm 5'6") and I received lots of compliments. Highly recommend to pregnant girls - especially those who are really showing/in the 3rd trimester!

this dress gave me plenty of room for my 6 month pregnancy bump. I think it would be flattering on many shapes. the straps around the waist made it fit perfectly while still giving me plenty of room. even with the long, I had to wear flat shoes but some of that can contribute to my belly raising the hemline. thanks for a wonderful experience even while pregnant! I felt like an Egyptian queen!

This dress was great for a deb ball. Got a lot of compliments on the bead work. Fit well, nice empire waist. Wore 4 inch heels, and the length was perfect! Would def wear this again!

I wore this to my brother's wedding at 37 weeks pregnant and got TONS of compliments. This dress is beautiful, but runs quite large. Perfect to hide a bump or your mid-section, but I'd definitely size-down if you are not expecting. Pre-pregnancy size was a 6 and I only needed an 8 while 9 months pregnant with a 36F bust (I gave birth 2 weeks later!) - I probably could've even fit in the 6 if I had one to try.

Wore this dress to my winter wedding rehearsal and it was just perfect. The dress makes a statement, while still being comfortable and conservative enough for the church rehearsal. It does run a bit large, so I wore a size smaller than usual and it was perfect.

I wore this at almost 8 months pregnant, and usually wear a size 6...so I would say it runs big! Great dress for pregnancy, it is very comfortable and accommodating. The bust was a bit tighter than I would have liked but the size 6 was not available. Really recommend and I would wear it if not pregnant as well.

I rented this dress for my baby shower...I haven't put on too much weight just my belly and this dress was perfect! I haven't bought any maternity clothes so far (I was 8 months for the shower) and this dress let me feel sexy and beautiful! I am 5'6 and the long fit perfectly..the top was very flattering on my "new" chest and the tie fit just above my belly. All in all it was a huge hit!

I was surprised to find that the 2 fit me so perfectly in light of this being a British Designer (whom I've found to run small). I'm 5'4" and wore 3 inch heels and the length was perfect. I got a ton of compliments and wish I owned this dress!

I loved this dress -- it was perfect for an evening wedding. I received lots of comments. It was super comfortable. I normally wear an 8 -- they only had an 8 to rent at the time. It fit well, but I could have also worn a 6. In terms of length, the long was perfect for 3" heels.

I absolutely loved this dress it was super comfy and fun for a wedding that I attended where everyone danced. I ended up going with the size smaller since I am smaller through the waist! Absolutely loved the detail on neck. One problem is sometimes is comes undone I had to squeeze with tweezers in bathroom to keep shut!

I got this dress to wear to a wedding and received TONS of compliments, which was unexpected. I have recently, ahem, packed on a couple (20) extra pounds, so I needed something to hide my new gut and booty situation. This worked like a charm. Nobody could tell I had extra padding, and I think I ended up looking pretty darn good in photos.

I was a bit skeptical about wearing a long dress, but I wanted something a little different for this particular event. I received tons of compliments! I stood out from the crowd and felt like a queen!! Even when I thought women were staring at me with disgust, as I got closer to them they all said, "I like your dress!" Some men even said, "Hey, your dress is like Cleopatra!" If you're going to a formal event and want something different and memorable, rent this dress!!

I safety pinned the key-hole since I was wearing it to event attended by conservative types. Lovely! Thought I was going to wear it to a wedding, but it wasn't formal enough - but we had lots of pre-wedding events and this was perfect for it.

This dress wears beautifully and the unique collar garnered many compliments. It is easy to wear and keeps a beautiful shape. Jewelry is easy to... keep it minimal thanks to the collar. the 12L was perfect for my height and in 3 inch heels.

Loved this! Just enough exotic flair to fit in at a henna party full of gorgeous traditional embroidered dress, but simple enough that I still felt like my self. Great fit, TTS. I am 5'8'' 130lbs. On the short side, had to wear completely flat sandals.

this is a great original piece. the dress is flattering, the material silky and sleek. you will fell like an egyptian princess. got many compliments on this dramatic dress. men don't always prefer a more obvious dress!

I wore this dress to a black tie wedding, it was so comfortable and very unique, I just wish i had gotten a size smaller because it was a little big, although the tie does help to reign it in. A few things to be wary of: the clasp in the front kept coming undone so I ended up sewing it together for the event, a few of the studs were loose around the collar, and the fabric of the dress seemed a little worn... BUT overall, loved this dress.

The fit was good (surprising since Temperley tends to run small) but on my curvy bod it didn't look like I thought it would and accentuate my waistline. Ended up wearing a different gown. This dress would be lovely on someone with a tall, willowy figure though.

I rented this dress for a wedding and was unable to wear it. It ran very large and the ties that I thought I could cinch the dress with were missing. The length, which I was most worried about, was great with a pair of 3 inch heels. I called RTR after trying the dress on and spoke with Jocelyn. She was able to help me select two more dresses and shipped them to my hotel in Florida. The dresses she sent were beautiful, and overall it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend RTR to anyone and will definitely rent from again in the future.

The fit was tight under the arms and was too short. It came to my ankles without heels and I am 5'5". Also, it's more of a baby doll dress than pictured; there's very minimal cinching below the bustline and swallowed me.

I rented this dress in a size 8 and a size 6. The size 6 hung off of me loosely and it looked like an unflattering tent. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for petite girls.
