Pros •true to size •could have worn 2R (was a bit tight) •the heels I wore (~4inches) were tall enough to where the dress was on the floor like the model's •makes your hips look nice •you could wear almost any bra with it Cons •if you plan on dancing, don't wear this or at least make sure there's air conditioning, it gets pretty warm in the dress •while the dress was long enough, I sometimes stepped on it so be mindful of the length •it can be a little bit hard to get on

I wore this to a dinner honoring Sidney Poitier. Conveniently, Oprah came to speak, and she wore a dress with a shoulder cut-out also…. Yes! I had the perfect opening line to go talk to her. This dress runs a touch small, and I only say that because the material has VERY little give. The color comes out more blue when photographed. the slit was well-placed, as often on dresses like this, the slit is too far to the front, and one can't help but show their leg. With this design, you do have to push your leg out if you want, or don't want it, to show. A little shoulder cleavage is definitely the best type of cleavage. Eye-grabbing, but not in a way that your boss would notice and think "hmmmmm"

I rented a size 4L. It was perfect for my 5' 8.5" body. I would have loved it to be an inch or two longer, but it was fine for the 3" shoes I had. I was hoping to wear other taller heels, but it was NO big deal. I ended up wearing spanx, but according to my husband I didn't need to. I just put them on for an insurance policy since the dress is very fitted. The dress is comfortable, slimming, heavy material and relatively well made. It's not the most expensive-feeling dress I've worn, but feeling confident in something makes up for much of that. It really was a great dress.

The fit was perfect and the dress arrived in like new condition. The color is more indigo than the purple hue in the pic. The dress was easy to wear and packed well since I traveled from the Midwest to NYC and back all in one day. I received lots of compliments, in fact a women at the event complimented my dress and when I informed her that I got it on Rent The Runway she laughed and said she had rented hers form the site as well!

This dress was soooo comfortable! I felt very put together! It was rather short in the 6R as I am 5'6 and right on the cut off. If I wanted to wear anything other than flats I would most certainly need a Long. Other than that it was wonderful! I could wear a normal bra and I didn't feel the need to wear spanks as the fabric has a bit of weight to it, and helps smooth your figure.

As a large-busted 5'2'' woman, I was amazed to find a formal gown that fit without alterations! I rented the dress for a formal ballroom dance event. My dance shoe heels are 3"; the gown's length, fit, and give allowed me to dance comfortably. I love the luxurious and forgiving fabric, style, and color. I bought an inexpensive replica of Princess Diana's sapphire engagement ring to match the dress...stunning! I have no complaints other than to say I was a bit hot because of the long sleeves. I would definitely wear this dress again; however, I would choose something with different sleeves or no sleeves for dancing.

This dress was perfect for a semi-formal dinner. It is a navy color. I received lots of compliments on it and how it was so different than every other dress. I ordered the 8L and am 5'8 1/2" and had to wear 5" heels. Keep this in mind if you are between the regular and tall size. My husband wanted me in something sleeveless and I wanted something long sleeve. This was the perfect solution. :)

Loved this dress! Comfortable, heavy-weight jersey material and long sleeves made this the perfect dress for a black-tie event in January in Detroit. No special undergarments needed, the material is fluid and has stretch to it, so is very forgiving. Received lots of compliments and loved that it was a classic navy color among a sea of black dresses.

The 6L I got fit alright, but was a little short. I am 5' 9". Additionally the 8L had the fabric draping in the right places to make the dress more slimming. Overall I am happy, but it could have been a little bit longer.

Initially, I did not choose the dress but it was suggested by the stylist in the showroom based on the requirements of the live tape event for NFL Honors. This dress is easy to run and long enough to hide my low heels. At Radio City Hall, I was a bit chilly that day and the long sleeves helped greatly in keeping me warm without a coat. I love how the folds of the dress gave me a waistline in proportion to my height and when I walked, the side split had revealed my right calf below my knee. Overall, I liked dress and received a lot of compliments from men, friends, and co-workers.

If you have fairly large arms like I, size up. Doesn't have too much give for bulky arms. I usually wear a 12 but was able to fit an 8.

The dress had a great drape and feel. Since we were going to a winter wedding this was a great option. Post baby body imperfections are hard to cover up but this did the trick!

October wedding outdoor, was comfortable without a coat and appreciated the long sleeves. Comfortable material. Dress was a little long even with heels (total height with shoes 5' 6.5"). Nice deep color for fall.

The dress runs large. I am not a 4, but the 4l was perfect. I am 5'9". Weigh 135. It was super comfortable!!!

I'm usually inbetween an 8 and a 6, this dress fell right into that category as well (I'm 135 lbs and 5'7 1/4"). However, with the "giving" on this fabric, the 6 looked better. I ordered an 8L and a 6L. Unfortunately, the 6 that came was a regular and was too short with the 5" heels I wanted to wear. I had to wear the 8L. It was about 1 inch too long but I wore it anyway. I felt a tad frumpy but the gown was still lovely on. I rec'd lots of compliments.

The dress runs very large and I should have went for a size or even 2 smaller. I am very busty so I never know how dresses online will fit but this dress could have fit a woman who was a size 14 easily. There was just so much material and it made me look matronly.

Rent this dress if you want to be the most comfy girl in the room at a formal affair. You will also be slightly less "glam" than some women because it is not really a show stopper, but very pretty and tasteful.

The bunching in the middle is not very flattering, the sleeves were a bit too tight. Of course, the color is much lighter in person than from the photograph.

I ordered this as a backup dress, and it fit great and looked nice. However, I felt like there was just too much fabric. It's a great dress for an awards show or other very professional formal affair, but for a high school prom it didnt really fit the bill.
