I rented this on a last minute whim to wear on NYE. I was probably between the 4 and the 6, but I chose to wear the 4 because the 6 was too big in the chest and looked kind of silly. I also chose to wear the spaghetti straps that came with it because as other reviewers have said, you can't really wear a bra with this, so the straps hold the girls up :-) I had a lot of fun wearing this...I was just at a low key NYE thing with 5 of my friends (we drank, cooked, and played games) but it was great to have something like this to wear! If I had had more time to plan, I would have accessorized with different shoes, but like I said, this was a last minute rental!

The top seemed to run a little larger than I expected, but the waist and everything else fit perfect. The garment tape they included with the dress did not work well for holding it up.

It has a very unusual cut which separates it from the traditional strapless cocktail dress, When added with the small dots on blue fabric. it is quite a special dress. def worth a try!!

I'm usually an 8 and the 8 fit me perfectly but I'm pretty curvy and the slit made it so short in front!

I didn't pick this dress but it was sent to me as a replacement. The top did not stay up at all and I wasn't sent the straps that some people show pictured. The wrap skirt also ended up showing much more leg than pictured. The dress is cute though - nice material, like the exposed zipper. Maybe the above critiques wouldn't be an issue with a different body shape?

The dress ran a little big, but I still made it work. This dress has a retro flare, that so many of us girls love.

This dress is totally adorable – it’s just in dire need of some stretch, of which there is absolutely zero. The 4 fit me absolutely perfectly with the exception of the bust, where I could barely get it zipped and my chest was literally popping out with the bra on (and the bra is SO necessary). Basically, I couldn’t breathe. So I had to go with the backup size of a 6, which was OK, but was really too big and baggy on the bottom/hip area – the bust on the 6 was better, but you really need a bra to give it something to grab on to in order at all keep the dress up. Basically, completely adorable dress, but with a little bit of stretch to give it some cling, it would be perfect. I wanted desperately to wear it strapless, but just couldn’t, unless I wanted to expose an entire wedding. I had read Temperley’s sizing was a little off before ordering, so I was prepared and not devastated by all this, but renter beware…it has potential, but is not a very comfortable dress to wear.

In the photo, the dress looks like it has a sheen to it, which I liked. But when it arrived, the material wasn't shiny and rather rough. I got a 0 and a 2 as back up and neither was a good fit; the 0 was too loose and long. I returned it the same day. It's a shame because the dress was cute, it just wasn't for me.

Looks much better on the model that on, the 6 fit odd and the material was uncomfortable and the 8 fell off of me, was glad I rented a back up dress!
