It is exactly how the picture looks.. has pockets which was a plus for me! I loved the dress. I wore opaque tights with it because it was a little short on me...but if I wore flats I could've worn it without the tights. I also rented a necklace for the dress which I loved, too!

This dress is not quite what I'd expected but it's still super cute, although fairly basic. It looks quite shiny in the pictures online so I thought it might be more of a satiny material, but I would describe it as a cotton sateen or maybe a taffetta - it's woven cotton with a fairly fine weave and just a hint of sheen. It was perfect for the work to casual style of my life, but I wouldn't really recommend it for a party or event if you are looking for something dressy. In terms of fit, it doesn't run small and it is not fitted - the material doesn't stretch but the shoulder seams were on the wide side and there's room all over so if you are between sizes I think sizing to your smaller will be ok. That said, in terms of length it feels like this was made for a petite. The sleeves are very short (5-6 inches short of my wristbone as I'm typing this), and the skirt length is very short - I bent my knee in the picture to emphasize how high it hits standing up. Even the pockets are placed super high. Because the shape is full, it's fine for sitting (plenty of material to drape forward and cover everything) but standing and moving it can be a little precarious, like I you put my arms up it hiked possibly over my bum, so it's not great for dancing or any workplace where you need to reach up on a high shelf. I'm only 5'6" which isn't super short but there are lots of girls out there taller than me so this isn't an issue I usually encounter. The proportion just seemed a little off on my body and I think this fullness and length is going to be most flattering on someone a few inches shorter than me.

The other reviewers were correct in the sizing of the dress. It is quite loose and large, but very comfortable. It's a very nice fabric and does not look cheap. I think this style of dress would flatter a more petite frame but I tried to pull it off as best I could.

fit similar to the picture. Simple (plain if you're looking for something 'louder') but still elegant. Wore to a funeral and it worked out well. At 5'4" it hit above the knee but didn't appear too short. I loved it and would have loved to keep it. Could be used for multiple occasions. Another great rental with RTR.

It had a tiny hole near the zipper otherwise I would have bought this dress. I wore it with tall boots and a black gem chandelier necklace. It was so easy and I felt fabulous in it. Many compliments. It is a little short for work without boots or tights.

I got an XS b/c of how boxy it is and it fit great. Since it's "bland" I was able to dress it up with a huge statement necklace and wore it with Valentino Rock studs. For my casual look, I wore silver brogues and some fun earrings. I decided to buy it since I could see myself wearing it again!

This was perfect for a winter date night. Wore with thigh high boots. The arms were a bit short on the XS and the S- or I have really long arms, one of the two. Didn't wrinkle, looked really fashionable. I'd rent again.

This is a great dress that's bump friendly. It has a baby doll style to it. I has pockets in the front. Would definitely recommend to any body type. I wore a medium at 8 months pregnant. Pre pregnancy probably would have worn a small.

This dress is so cute! The fit is nice through the top and arms and the swing/ruffle on the bottom makes it super flirty and fun. The dress has pockets and given the shape you don't have to worry about sucking it in all night. The dress is short (I'm 5'6") and I wore it with tights for more coverage. I imagine it would be cute as a tunic over printed leggings as well.

I️ really wanted to love this dress. I️ didn't end up wearing I️t because it was actually a little too conservative. I️t is on the short side, but the high neckline and the super loose fit made I️t too stuffy looking for just a night out. I️f I️ were to rent I️t again I️t would be for a more formal affair and I️ would pair I️t with a statement necklace. Overall I️ liked I️t, but I️t wasn't right for what I️ was looking for.

Ended up going with the smaller size, it runs large even for a boxier fit. I didn't mind that it was short but beware, I'm 5'5 and it was a bit windy that night so I had to hold it down when we were walking outside. The dress was super comfortable and easy!

i'm typically a 4, got the XS after reading reviews, glad i did because it was still very oversized and boxy. wldve prob looked better even smaller so the shoulders would fit! i enjoyed the baby doll style, hit midthigh and worn with high black and white shoes. made a statement without being overly exposed. husband hated the boxy/baby doll look, girls loved it. just one of those things some ppl don't "get". that being said, i wld only recommend this to someone larger than a 4 and prob not too much taller than me unless you're comfortable showing A LOT of leg. i thoroughly enjoyed it and wld recommend!

I wore this dress for my holiday work party after having a c-section 10 weeks ago. It was the perfect dress for post baby and post c-section because it was cute and stylish but was not tight fitting. I love the long sleeves, pockets, length and neck! It paired perfectly with tights and booties! It runs big!

This dress is beautifully made, however, it didn't do anything for me. WAY too big. I tried it on and my husband immediately shook his head no. I knew it would be a little bigger on me as the reviews stated but I had to check the tag to make sure I didn't accidentally get a medium instead of a small. Sure enough the tag said small. Still a pretty dress and the pockets are pretty cool.
