Like others have said, it can be a bit tricky to figure out at first. It helped me to know the zipper goes straight down the middle of your back and then drape the two sections up and over your neck if that makes any sense. This was a beautiful dress for a formal wedding, I got lots of compliments.

I wore this to a wedding and enjoyed it! It’s a simple black dress with some flare. Was true to size and thinner, comfortable material. Forgiving in the front due to the wrap like portion. I saw people in the reviews wear the neck wrap multiple ways so you have options!

I absolutely loved the fit of this dress. I read the recommendations from other reviews for putting it on & didn’t have any issues. With the cut of this dress, I did not have to wear a bra.

I loved it so much, I may end up buying it. I will agree with the other reviews, and say-put it on the way you take it off the hanger! I tried it on one day, and then the day of the wedding, I put it on thinking I had it situated right....and I had to take it back off, pull up the RTR website, and put it on again!! :) It was so flattering! NO BRA REQUIRED (which never happens for me). highly recommend this dress.

I rented this for a ~movie premiere~ and it was amazing!! I felt like a movie star. Fabric is super soft, it's flattering without being super tight, and it's elegant but also interesting and cool when you look closely. I was sad to return it!

Loved this dress. Hides any tummy flaws! Best practice is to hang it on a hanger (while looking at the photo of the model wearing it) and slip it on that way. Otherwise it can get insanely confusing. Fabric is thick and drapes elegantly. So many compliments. Felt fab!

As everyone has said, this gorgeous, weird little dress is odd and difficult to put on. When I finally got it on, wow! Stunning! I’m wearing this for a romantic rainy date night at home with my boyfriend, but I’ll definitely rent it again for going out. Elegant and sexy.

I loved this dress!! Fit perfectly! Size 6 I’m 5’4” 150lbs. It was challenging to figure out how to get it on but following the review that said to put it on the hanger as it’s supposed to be worn, helped! I stepped into it while holding the neck part. I wrapped the neck pieces around my neck once and tied it once it the back. Great quality. I received so many compliments!!

I felt glamorous on a rare night out to a holiday ball! The material was high quality and draped well. Just now realizing I forgot to tie the sash around the neck...oops! I often struggle with sizing given my athletic body type, so I was a bit nervous, but the 6 hugged me nicely. The 8 fit as well but with a bit more room. It was a bit confusing to get on, but referencing the photos and taking it a step at the time helped. Highly recommend!

The fabric of this dress is substantial and luxurious. It feels great on and was really flattering. I got lots of compliments throughout the evening. I could dance and be comfortable while in a structured look. I would totally rent again. Note: it is difficult to figure out how to put on. Be patient. It’s worth it. What I found that worked was to 1. study the photo and hang it on the hanger the exact way it should be worn. 2. unzip it, step into it (while top is still on the hanger) then 3. pull the top off the hanger and then over your neck. 4. Zip the back.

Took us 20 minutes to figure out how to put this on, but once we did I lived thus dress! So fun yet elegant at the same time. Will definitely rent again.

Okay, all the reviews say it’s hard to get on, and this is TRUE. My husband and I took four tries… however, this happened because we were using the Rent the Runway model picture as the example. She is wearing it INCORRECTLY, and if I had to guess, she doesn’t even have the hook and eye latched. Don’t be led astray! My biggest advice is to go to the designer’s website and look at how THEIR model wears the dress. Once we did this, we were able to get the dress on quickly. It was also hanging on the hanger incorrectly, which didn’t help either. It should NOT be tight on your neck. If it is, you’re doing it wrong. Honestly, in all the pictures of others wearing this dress, I don’t see one person who has done it correctly 😅😂 NOT their fault. Anyways, once you get it on - I really did love it. Easy to wear, comfortable, stylish. Perfect for a black tie wedding. If you’re up for the jigsaw, it’s worth it!

Once you figure out how to wear it. It’s stunning and very elegant. Material is good. But there are lots of layers that cover what you want covered but also add fabric. Longer than expected I had to size up to availability and it was a but loose but not unwearable

I read other reviews that this dress was hard to figure out, and I should’ve listened. There should be instructions on how to put this on 😂. I think I finally figured it out, but the clasps around the neck were too tight. Ended up not wearing it. It’s also impossible to move in, so not ideal if you’re planning to dance at a wedding/event.

This dress was pretty, and despite all the heartburn that came my complaining about getting the dress on and keeping it on all night - my husband said he thought it was “worth it.” The bruises on my neck say otherwise. I read another review that said it took multiple professionals to get this dress on, and we were in the same boat. I was just in PAIN all night because of how tight it was on my neck, and I don’t have a particularly big neck. I wish I believed the reviews and stayed away.

This dress fit great- so cool and amazing for a changing postpartum body. I'm very tall and finding formal gowns that fit is always challenge but the style of this dress worked perfectly for me. I couldn't get the shoulder wrap to go around me like in the photo but I found a different way to wear it and still got tons of compliments.

Gorgeous dress, fabric is thick and silky smooth. From another review I realized the neck ties are not supposed to be tied around the neck like the picture! They are supposed to just hang down at the back. It's very flattering and the front drape is very forgiving over the stomach. I loved this dress so much!
