It was tight -- I had to go way up on my normal size, because the bodice was so tight. Was also hard for someone with a bigger chest.

It is so different from what I would usually wear, but I wanted to go big since I was going to use RTR. I am so glad I did, because I felt amazing and it fit perfectly and barely grazed the ground. I did not even have to wear a bra since the bodice fit so snug.

This dress is beautiful! I read the previous reviews about fit and got my usual size as well as one size down. The smaller one fit much better although as is disclaimer I will admit to not having a lot of chest. If you do, you may need to go up a size. The top part of the dress has zero give which was great because I wasn't worried about it moving through the dancing all night but was scary to get over my big butt and would be slightly suffocating for bigger chested girl. This dress made me feel like a princess, I never got so many compliments in my life. Super cute and would totally recommend.

The dress runs small, i'm normally a 0R and the 2R was perfect. I wore pretty high heels with the dress which I would suggest because the toole can be easily stepped on if you aren't raised a little bit.

Would absolutely rent this again! Fit true to size, tulle was clean, no tears. The piece that covers your bottom was a bit short but that's just the make of the dress. Was perfect without a bra for me, 34D. Such a great dress to dance in too!

I rented this dress for a formal ball in Boston, and it was perfect! Within the first 30 minutes of arriving, I was told that my dress was "striking"! I felt like a princess, it had the right amount of "poof" that I was looking for. I love that the front hemline is higher up to showoff shoes. The fit was definitely smaller - I normally wear a size 4/6 in regular clothes, and the 8 fit great. The one thing I would say is my even had some speeches and an auction after dinner, so I spent some time sitting, and the tulle got itchy, but that wouldn't deter me from recommending it! The zipper can be a bit tricky in the back, the tulle can get caught if you aren't careful. Overall I was so happy and I loved the whole ensemble! (Rented a statement Kate Spade necklace from RTR too)

Remember to size up! .... I'm obsessed with this dress. I'm a fashion blogger, and I loved the dress so much it inspired its own blog entry. I can't tell you how many people complimented it. It was so fun to dance around in, too, waving the full skirt around. I didn't even steam out the tulle, just wore it tangled, and I prefer it that way. Also FYI, it photographs really well and is very flattering.

This was a sassy dress yet fun because of the tulle. It runs very small! I am usually a 4 and the 6 was a bit tight in the butt. The lining goes from bust to just below butt and is NOT stretchy :/ ¡Warning! Under layers of tulle are crumpled. This didn't bother me much because you couldn't see it much but something to keep in mind. I wore this without a bra and with 3 inch heels.

Ran super small...typically wear 2/4 with dresses i rent. had to have size 6 shipped last minute...6 fit perfectly, comfortably, etc. Tulle was great. Had to be hold up while walking and dancing (otherwise would personally step on, or others would).

The dress runs on the smaller size. I recommend going one size up. I usually wear a 10 for dresses and luckily I ordered a 10 and 12, the 12 fit better. I was also worried about the length because I am very short, 5'1" but with 4 inch heels, the back of the dress only touched the floor slightly.

I wore this for a downtown, loft wedding and LOVED it! It does run small and I am glad I chose the extra length. So much fun to dance in with all the tulle. I got endless compliments all night! Was sad to let this dress go!

This dress is so stunning, feminine and classy. I wore this to a red carpet event for the Oscars and it even made the best dressed list! A belt can be added for some extra flare but it's not needed. Note, I did spend some time using my hand steamer to get the tulle all set. The length was perfect.

The 8 fit but I went for the 10, which was a little loose in the bust area but I wanted something comfortable since I was wearing it for over 9 hours. I'm 5'3 and wore 6 inch platform heels and I would sometimes step of the skirt - so short girls beware! The dress is amazing and I didn't want to give it back.

Although the long size was not available, the short version worked out better for the event.

This dress is a little tight in the bust area which was why I went with the larger size. I could have worn the smaller size, but the size 2 was something I could wear all night and never feel uncomfortable. The advantage of having the tight top was that I never had to worry about pulling the dress up. I am always nervous with strapless because I don't want to be pulling at the top all night, and that was never an issue with this dress. I was able to dance and party all night without a problem! Also since I am a short person I always worry about the length, but this was perfect! The back was never stepped on and it stayed out of the wet roads. All in all I loved this dress and I would rent it again in a heartbeat!

Wore this to a friend's black tie wedding and received compliments all night! The 2R fit perfectly, I would have been a 4 if I decided to wear a bra but just went with petals instead. Great Choice!

The dresses arrived as scheduled and fit well. I ordered a 8 and 10 because the reviews said it runs small. I usually wear a 6 and the 8 fit perfectly. No bra needed. Very comfortable and fun to dance in. I can't wait to order another dress from RTR.

I had complete strangers stop me to tell me they loved the gown!! The only thing to be aware of is that you will likely have to get it professionally steamed to make sure the skirt doesn't bunch up. Overall absolutely gorgeous- I felt like a modern ballerina!

Wow, oh wow. This dress was such a gorgeous statement piece for the formal event that I had attended. Although I ordered a 6L and an 8L, I ended up settling for the 6L. It fit true to size, but was pretty tight around the bust. It literally took two people to zip me up, but I wouldn't necessarily say that it was "too tight" or "super constricting" for the dress was designed to fit more snug around one's chest. I didn't need to wear a bra, which was honestly super nice given how snug the top portion was to begin with. The tulle was fluffy and full with absolutely no wrinkles when pulled out of the bag. The end of the tulle had some tears, but it wasn't noticeable at all. I got so, so many compliments on the dress and definitely stood out due to the uniqueness of the dress. I absolutely loved it!

I definitely stood out Ina room full of black and even red dresses! I received compliments all night and felt like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex in the City. The dress is true to fit. I'm a 32A and didn't wear a bra. To make it pouffier you have to make sure to fluff all the layers of tulle to get a fuller dress, as it comes packed and flattened. Lalalaloved it!!

This dress is fitted on top and fluffs out at the bottom. It is formal enough for a black tie affair. I was stopped all night long by strangers complimenting the dress. It's also a very fun dress to wear! Side note: I wore a strapless bra at the beginning of the night but because it is very fitted I ended up not needing it and removed my bra.

Such a fab dress I wish I could keep it! I'm 5'7" and wore the 6R with four inch heels and the length was just right! Typically I am a 4 or 6 -- both were rented when I ordered so I did the 8 which fell off of me. RTR overnighted me a 6 that had been cancelled to my hotel before the NYE party and it fit perfect! No bra needed because the corset ia a thick textured silk. Only thing I recommend is making sure to have time to steam out the skirt -- it takes some time with all of the layers! Amazing dress, compliments all night! Perfect for any formal/ black tie event to have a totally original look that is comfortable and allows you to dance!

I have never gotten more compliments on a dress in my life - random people on the street were telling me how gorgeous it was (one told me I looked like Carrie Bradshaw, and a little girl thought I was a princess). As for the reviews, it does fit small. I freaked out when I first tried it on, and had them send the 8 as well. However, it was fine when I had my boyfriend zip it up (It really fit like a glove though - it doesn't stretch at all). I took it to my dry cleaner to have it steam pressed - but I think if you ordered two days in advance and let it hang, you would be fine. I was wearing 5" gold sparkly heels with it, which was necessary, as the back is very long. I wish I owned this dress!

I browsed several dresses for a black-tie optional event and kept coming back to this one. It looked the most fun and different and it lived up to those expectations! After reading all of the reviews that mentioned that this dress ran small, I ordered up a size for my back-up dress. I'm typically a size 6 off the rack but it seemed like the bodice of the dress ran small (only got about halfway up my back in the 6R), so the reviews were right - I ended up wearing the 8L, I'm 5'9" and generally need longer length, but with the hi-lo styling of this dress, I think most any height would be okay with the regular length. Like the other reviews say about the tulle, give yourself some time to steam. I spent about 20 minutes steaming the layers individually and it looked great. Super comfortable - no tugging up the top or feeling like anything was in danger of falling out. The fit around the bodice is tight - you definitely feel locked and loaded. I received tons of compliments and felt like Carrie Bradshaw minus the Manolo's. Bottom line - phenomenal dress, would have loved to keep it!

I felt absolutely stunning in this dress. It was a little snug fitting in the top, but I am on the larger side in the chest. It was an absolutely beautiful dress, Everything about it was perfect. It does run a little on the small side, but I am regularly a 6/8 in a dress and the 8 fit great. I ordered the 10 as a back up size and it was definitely too big. I wore 3" heels and the length of the skirt was perfect.

I ordered a size 6 & 8...they looked like two different dresses.!! The size 6 was gorgeous.. the bottom of the dress was very full and had more layers of tulle...the size 8 was flat and the tulle was actually see through and had less layers. I ended up in the 6 which ended up working out. If you decide to rent this one buy a pair of knee length black leggings or wear a slip with it.. Will makes the tulling look even thicker. I loved the dress but wasnt crazy about the back of the dress being so much longer than the front.. Had a few people step on it in the beginning of the night Got a TON of compliments !!

I was nervous about ordering a strapless dress as I haven't worn one in years. This dress is so comfortable and the cut is such that I wasn't constantly pulling it up. The 12 was a little large but the 10 was buckling at the zipper. With a strapless bra the 12 was just fine. I received so many compliments at the event, and even had a car stop and yell "love the dress!" at the end of the night. Very unique, very fun, I felt like Sarah Jessica Parker!

I wore this dress to a masquerade party and got a million comments on it. Typically size 8 is big on me but I'm glad I ordered the larger size because the dress does not stretch at all. The zipper in the back goes down to your hips and was tight on me but I was able to zip it up. I wore it with 4 inch heels and the length was perfect!

I found this dress to be a perfect, true to size fit. It fit nicely in the top with a little wiggle room, but my chest is on the smaller side so bigger chested girls, pay attention to this. The slip underneath was not a problem for me and did not ride up, and I have pretty wide hips. The tulle skirt was beautiful and gave the dress an incredible whimsical quality that I absolutely loved. Would love to rent this dress again for any fancy, formal event.

This dress is amazing. It's definitely cut very small up top, I have a small bust and couldn't fit a bra underneath, but it made me feel secure in the dress through a whole night of dancing! I wore this to my senior sorority formal and felt like a princess!

ORDER A SIZE UP! I could not wear a bra with it or I never would have gotten it zipped up, so I looked a little "flat" in it...but it is GORGEOUS. I threw on a red pashmina and a bright red lip...perfection.

This dress definitely runs a bit small. There was no way I was squeezing into the 6. The 8 fit like a glove. No bra needed. The zipper tried to slip down the tiniest bit throughout the night one or two times (probably from all my dancing), but nothing major. I feel like the fluffy tulle gave my boyish frame a little more shape. Not quite as asymmetrical as it appears in the photo, but still a gorgeous and fun dress!
