The dress came in excellent condition. I wore the size 4 and it fit great! I had room to move in the waist as it doesn't have much stretch. I ended up pinning the straps just because they were a little long but I only did it to be a bit more modest. I wore a strapless bra to fill it out a bit but totally wouldn't have needed one if I didn't want to wear one. I'm pretty short and it went to my knees. I loved this dress! Comfortable and I had NO issues with the sequins itching or anything of the sort. This is a great dancing dress as it had an amazing twirl. Definitely a stand out dress! This is my 4th time using RTR and I have YET to be disappointed!

Dress fit perfectly! I was worried about the deep v neckline as someone with a very small cup size, but it was fine and I was even able to wear a bra with it. The material is on the heavy side which is fun because the skirt swishes around a lot without any risk of indecency. Lots of compliments!

This dress is so fancy yet it's light and perfect for dancing. Love it!

This dress was absolutely fabulous and very flattering!! I received compliments all night! It hits right at the waist and hides the hips if you are concerned there. It also does not flare too much that it makes you look like a balloon. In dim lighting it sparkles just enough and in regular lighting it is not over bearing. It is cut a little low so be prepared to show some cleavage. I was able to wear a regular bra with it without issue. It's so much fun and so pretty. Would rent again!!!

I didn't end up wearing this dress but it was so beautiful on! Absolutely stunning in person!

I am not big on sparkle, but this gave just enough shine to stand out in a classy way at a holiday party. Sequins were not itchy at all. I've worn this style dress is other colors and I love it every single time. I fit in the size 6, but the waist line was a bit tight so I went up a size for comfort (top was a bit loose but it was fine). Neckline goes a bit low, so I had to wear nipple petals. Waist is noticeably tighter than the rest of the dress, so if you are built like me (very straight at the waistline) I would go up a size for your backup.

I felt very comfortable and overall fit was true to size.

This dress was gorgeous! I wore it for a Halloween party. The waist runs extremely small and the bust is finicky, it seems to have more material under bust and around arms/shoulders. If you have a large bust will work well. The 8 waist fit me better but the bust did not so I was able to fit into the 6 which worked well. Heavier dress as it is beaded. Most likely best suits hour glass shapes!

The size I usually wear wasn't available, so I went with a 10. It was a bit loose in the waist and bust, but I did some small miracles with fabric tape and made it work. This dress emphasizes your bust, you'll probably want a solid push up bra for it. It's also good for larger busts. I have large hips and a small waist and the twirly skirt and cinched waist is perfect for this body type. The skirt is wonderful for swing dancing.

I normally wear a size 2 in a dress but ordered down because I run small in the chest. It turned out I needed to wear the 0 and pin the extra material because the chest was loose. There is no give on the waist. Other than that I loved the dress and received many compliments. The length is perfect and the chest ran just far enough down.

I am a true petite at 5' nothing and 103 lbs. I needed the 0 because I have a tiny waist but the top was still too big for my 32B bust. We solved the problem by stitching the straps to shorten them 2" on each side and it was perfect. This dress is very classy and appropriate for all ages. I am 55 and got tons of compliments.

This dress was perfect for a holiday party in Nashville. I'm almost 5'10 and was able to wear a size 2 as seen here. I had no problems with scratchy sequins under the arms for the duration of wearing the dress. It's comfortable, formal, but still has structure to the dress. You can very easily wear a bra or not with this dress. The length was perfect with heels. I received a lot of compliments on how modest but sexy the dress was. So hard to make this return! (I'm also still on the fence of what color the dress really is)

Great dress! I ordered this as my original dress and then ordered another as a back up and ended up loving the back up so my sister decided to wear this one! It looked great on her! She is 5'7" and 120 pounds and the 2 was perfect except she definitely needed a little chest support (it's not meant for small chested women, that's for sure!), but overall a gorgeous dress!

I really loved the fit of this dress. I ordered a 0 and a 2 and the 0 was perfect, so I didn't bother with the 2. The waist is very fitted, which I liked. I didn't find the bust to be tight, and I'm a 32DD. The neckline does, however, provide plenty of cleavage, so if that makes you feel uncomfortable, avoid this one unless you're small busted. I have ample hips and this dress was nice in that it accentuated my waist and skimmed over my hips. The skirt is full and very twirl-able. The length is fun. I think this would be a great New Years Eve dress. However, I was going to wear it to a med school formal (I'm not in med school, my date is), so I felt it was a bit too "loud" and flashy. It's very glittery in real life. Overall, a very flattering, fun dress. Just not right for my event.

This dress is really great in person. The length was great do me at 5'0", and everyone loved it. I did, however, end up going braless. The front is super-plunge and every bra I had showed at the front. I was fine with it but you should do an adhesive bra if you feel strongly about it. Dress was well-made and comfortable.

The Gold Marilyn Dress runs true to size and I would suggest going a size up for back up. The dress is a patterned gold sequin v cut and is great for any bust size. The Dress has no stretch and is very fitted at the natural waist. With the full skirt the hip area is loose and comfortable. The length of the dress ends at the knee. You can pair this dress with a statement earring or a statement bracelet.

I loved the look of the dress but the fit is definitely odd. The waist runs REALLY small and inconsistent...the size 2 was larger than the 4. The waist on the bigger sizes is very small to a point where you have to size up but then the straps are too loose. With some temporary stitching at the straps I was still able to wear the dress although the waist was uncomfortable. You can wear a regular bra if the straps fit correctly. It is not scratchy at all even with all the sequins. Overall it is a beautiful dress but definitely size up.

This dress was beautiful and perfect for a December wedding. The sparkle is incredible — it's noticeable without being too obnoxious. And the compliments rolled in all night. The only con for me was that there was some random extra space/fabric by the arm pit region on both sides. Maybe someone with a bigger chest would've filled it out better, but I just pinned it back. It was easily concealed with a cardigan as well. Ultimately it wasn't a deal breaker. People were way too distracted by the sparkle!

I wore this for a NYE engagement party - and NYE celebration. My husband picked it out online and loved it. It was pretty flattering and fun in general. I am 5'5, between a 32DD to 34D and weigh about 140. Definitely an hourglass shape. I had the 6 as a backup and it was maybe slightly too big and much lower on the chest. My husband said the 4 (which was a little tighter around my waste) looked much better. it fit perfectly everywhere else. The straps on the six seemed to have a lot more baggy material which fell strangely from the shoulder to my boobs. It is low cut, but was a 'classy' amount of cleavage. I didn't wear a bra. It is a little scratchy on the back of the strap, but not enough to cause scrapes or continue to be irritating through the night. I ended up wearing tights and ankle boots with a black shawl (none of which got pictured, but made it a little more casual). This was the only picture of the night that actually got more than a strap of the dress in it! If another opportunity came about, I might rent this, but it's not my favorite rental.

I wore this dress to my companies Christmas Party at a country club and I received lots of complements... The dress does run small. I'm usually a 2 -4 and the 4 was tight on me. I also had problems with the zipper but my husband fixed it. Overall though I loved the dress and would recommend it.

So it definitely runs small! Also if you're short/a little bustier it is definitely fairly revealing but in a "classy" way. I didn't need to wear a bra with it, it was tight enough to be supportive and I felt comfortable going bra-less. The sequins are a little itchy especially around the arms. All-in-all great dress.

This was my first time with rent the runway. I was recommended by my best friend. I ordered a size 10 and 12 for backup. I normally wear a 10. I ended up wearing the 12. This dress runs very small in the abdomen area. Because of the strip below the bust, it was tight. After a good pair of spanks and sucking all my abdomen in, I was able to wear it comfortably. It was a very cute dress. I did call customer service and asked about the possibility of getting another size but was able to get into the 12 .

I wore this dress for NYE. I loved it! I was able to find a bra that had a low enough plunge that I was able to wear it with the dress, seeing as a 34DD can't really go without a bra ever! Just be prepared to have it all out there!! The waist was tight, I would have preferred the 6 based on the fit of the top, but there was just no way with the waist. Sequins bothered a bit under my arm, but it wasn't too bad.

The other reviews that discuss the fit of the dress are spot on - very fitted at the rib cage and there is quite a bit of room in the bust. Happy to report I was able wear a normal bra with the help of a little fashion tape to be sure it didn't show. Overall, I loved the dress!

To my fellow curvy ladies- know that this dress leaves no room for forgiveness in the waist or chest. I wore a nude camisole for the top, because I have a fuller chest and the ladies were out in full force without it. Below the waist is super flattering and the skirt is optimal for twirling, if that's your thing. I am in the middle of a weight loss journey, but I am usually a 14/16 and wore a 14 (with a little help Spanx). This was great for my company's Christmas party, which runs on the formal side. It would also be perfect for NYE!

Loved the flowy skirt for dancing. The sparkly is great outdoors and indoors. I have big hips, and I felt that without the belt that was accentuated.. so i threw it on there. Wished I had more time to find a better belt. My main issue with this dress was the boobs! I'm a 36C and took a gamble of going without a bra. It's not a strap issue-- it's a problem of the plunge being too deep so basically any bra would shoe. The dress does have some sort of wiring which kind of keep things in place, but still-- a challenge! I was sure nothing was going to pop out, but still I felt a little too out there. Double sided tape did nothing. Still, I was happy with my dress.

I loved wearing this dress for a fall wedding. The sequin design and gold is stunning! However, the fit is very odd. There is absolutely no stretch to the dress, so the middle area is true to size, but the top is very large, forcing me to pin it. If you are small on top, I'd size down for you backup. But you cannot go wrong with the style- super flattering!

This dress has a tiny waist with zero give. The chest is very big however. I ordered a 6 and 8. The 6 waist was very tight, so I tried the 8. The 8 fit in the waist fit better but the chest was huge! Like, nobody but supermodels and 1% of the population have rib cages that tiny and boobs that big. So I crammed into a corset and into the 6. If you don't have boobs, this dress is not for you.

Overall beautiful, but I think someone must have tried to wash the dress at some point because the fabric was weirdly shaped around the bust. The neck line is also very very low, so if you are busty, you'll likely need to wear something under it

I typically wear a 4 in dresses. I tried on the 4 and it was just overall a bit big. The 2 was a little better, but it was very tight on my chest and then loose at the straps - I could've made it work but just walking around my house the material was very irritating; it rubbed a lot on my upper arms and armpits . The dress is also pretty heavy!

Did not wear. I am a full hour glass shaped girl , almost more pear shaped and the dress fit on the bottom, but the top was too big for me. I guess if i was more 'chesty' it would be better. Also for girls with larger hips, the "pleats" or the way the skirt lays did nothing for my shape. GORGEOUS dress though the detailing is beautiful.

I was so sad to put the size 10 dress on and it was too tight. I have never worn a 12 in anything before; for some reason it did not fit me in my waist; cut smaller there and where the zipper and the seam lie you need to order (in my opinion 2 sizes up). I needed a 12 and yet in all other dresses am an 8 and a 10 on a bloated day...absolutely breathtaking however as it is much prettier in person for it glows and the emerald green is so pretty. Perfect for black tie; a show stopper!!

The sparkle factor doesn't really show up in pictures. The overall wow factor has to be seen to be appreciated. I am 5'1" 108 lbs 34A . Since I am older it was the right length (just above the knee) so short girls rejoice! I could have worn the 0 or the 2. It has no give in the mid section so wanted to be able to eat. (went with the 2). I don't think I have a short torso but obviously I have no boobs so the top had to be tacked up at the shoulders. A bustier girl would have filled it out so the shoulders would have been ok. It is definitely a dance and twirl dress. Had so much fun wearing it. received a lot of compliments. Just wish it had pockets!
