I ordered the 8 and the 6 for this Derby Day party and ended up going with the 6. I have a small chest and though it was a bit tight in the waist, it proved to be the better choice as far as keeping the girls in check (especially since I didn't have any double sided tape - yikes). It was a perfect fit and didn't show any um, cold spells, that I might have felt. I accented it with a black belt and bright pink shoes (not pictured). I had the straps as tight as they could be, comfortably and didn't have any issues with the straps falling down even when dancing! I felt very sexy in this backless dress, while also being appropriately dressed for a party that requires a hat!

This dress was so cute and comfortable - perfect for my engagement photos! The color is soft and lovely. I really had no complaints about this dress at all. I have a very small waist compared to the rest of my body and ended up sizing down from my normal 6 to a 4 to get that fit-and-flare silhouette. I would definitely rent this one again.

Loved this dress! Got so many compliments. Only issue was that I ordered a size 2 and 4 expecting to wear the size 4. Unfortunately, the strap was broken on the size 4 and being held together by a safety pin! (Not cool RTR!) luckily, the size 2 fit best so everything worked out. I sill love you RTR but maybe keep an eye out for ripped dresses<3

I went down a size to have it sung in the chest. The conservative neckline and length made the open back sexy and not trashy. It also made me keep my shoulders back, bonus - good posture. I wore it to an outdoor day wedding with a sunhat. It was perfect! I felt beautiful!

It fit perfectly, and I was able to wear backless/adhesive bra. I loved the low back and received many compliments on it! The light gold zipper in the back made it perfect to pair gold shoes and accessories with it! I would definitely rent this again!

Wore this dress to an Easter brunch on the beach in Southern California and with strappy sandals and a jean jacket, it worked perfectly. It would also work really well for a more casual wedding or a summer date. I loved it!

This dress was beautiful! The color was a light but vibrant blue that popped in a spectacular way. The low back was gorgeous and I got numerous compliments throughout the evening! I ordered this dress for my college gradation, and I loved it so much, that I wore it AGAIN to go to dinner the next night! The dress did run a little large because of the less supportive back (I wore a 0 where I usually wear a 2) The straps do tend to move around (especially when you are sitting down) but if I sat up/stood up straight, I didn't have much of an issue (actually it was great for my posture) :) However, if you're worried about the straps, fashion tape would definitely do the trick to hold them in place!

This dress was perfect for a spring wedding with an outdoor reception! It was a last minute pick when the dress I ordered ended up being damaged but I was very happy with it and RTR was great with helping me find a new dress ASAP! I received so many compliments and was very comfortable all night! Keep in mind the low back so you can't wear a bra, I got a stick on one and it worked perfectly!

I read the reviews so I came prepared and used the double sided fashion tape to secure the straps in the front and had NO problem with them! I usually wear a 4 but the 2 fit my chest and waist better.

Ugh I LOVED this dress. Wish I could keep it. So cute and flattering. Cannot wear a bra and yes, the straps fall down a bit. But not enough to bother me- especially with some fashion tape. Wore this with light brown wedges and pearls. I would definitely rent again- it was worth it.

The dress runs slightly large and even with the size 0 I had to wear cups to fill out the top. The straps are definitely an issue I tightened them all the way and they still wouldn't stay put. I loved the overall look and the back of the dress is incredible. I would definitely rent again but next time will have some tape for the straps.

I rented the sizes 4 and 6, and had the dresses delivered one day before my event which was an afternoon wedding. The fit of the 4 was much better than the 6, however, I noticed slight fraying on one of the straps. RTR's customer service was excellent and had another size 4 rush delivered by noon the next day, just in time for the wedding. I highly recommend this dress for a spring or summer event, it was absolutely lovely.

I absolutely LOVED this dress for my bridal shower. The fit and style were adorable, and the skirt has a little tulle in it to make it flare out a bit, which made it just a little bit fancier than a typical sundress. I agree with the other reviews that the straps are a little bit of an issue. They tended to fall down even when I tightened them, so I ended up using some fashion tape and it stayed put a bit better.

The fabric was light, almost like a cross between a linen and canvas, but it was high quality and lined. I typically wear a size 2 and wore a size 0 in this dress not because it was a large fit, but more to get the bust to fit without wearing a bra (A cup). Overall it was a delightful departure from many of the cookie-cutter dresses worn to weddings, and I received compliments from women of all ages all night long. If you're a bustier lady then I think the dress would fit true-to-size, if not then I'd recommend sizing down. I loved it!

I wore this dress to a meet&greet a couple of days before my wedding, then again in a casual photo shoot. It's super cute from the front, then low in the back to keep it sexy. I did feel like was a little big, especially in the bust, but it was still so adorable and fun to wear. I wish I owned this dress!

This dress is adorable. The straps are adjustable but don't stay exactly put. It works better for someone with a larger bust or ribcage, or I would order a size down.

Loved this dress for a laid back summer wedding. I got this in a size 2 wanted the backup in a size 4 but it wasn't available so took a chance glad I did! The only thing I thought was weird was the zipper didn't have a hook and eye closure at the top. Very happy overall and would rent again

The silhouette was gorgeous. Due tole back the straps were a little gappy but it didn't take away from the look of the dress. It's so feminine and beautiful! I felt like a million bucks!

Super cute and flattering dress!!! It was a great length and fit - which is hard to find when you are 6' tall! Only con is that you have to make the straps are pretty tight since you have such a low back in order to hold the dress up. Got compliments all night! Not as belled out as it looks in the picture, which is a positive thing in my opinion. Loved it and had fun dancing in it!!

I wore this for my 18th birthday dinner and a friend's orchestra performance. I love that the straps are adjustable because without that feature the scoop back wouldn't have fit right. There is a tulle under layer that can be a little itchy but it wasn't a problem. The color and pattern make this a perfect dress for spring or summer. I would recommend wearing a "sticky bra" because the back goes very low. Its hard to tell from the picture but the skirt part is pleated in a way that makes it bubble out so be careful with the wind! Overall, I'm very happy with this dress.

This was the second dress that I have rented from Rent the Runway. I wore it to a wedding in Long Island over 4th of July weekend. Upon receiving the dress, I realized the fabric was much less lush than I expected- it feels like pure cotton. Nonetheless, I loved the cut and thought the color was perfect for a summer wedding. One thing worth mentioning is that there is no give in the material. The 4 fit perfectly at the beginning of the night, but towards the end (after dinner and cake) it was a little more snug. Overall, I liked the dress and would recommend it for a casual wedding/event.

I couldn't believe how many compliments I received throughout the night! The exposed back was a head turner, but with that came the issue of the straps constantly falling. Other than that the dress fit well and felt good on. Great one-time dress for a date night with hubby.!

I rented this dress for a rehearsal dinner. It's a very sweet dress. Very comfortable, but double-sided tape is a must. The skirt is fuller than I anticipated, but still flattering.

Loved how sweet the dress looked, especially with the backless back detail. Runs large, so I wound up wearing the 2. I for sure recommend fashion tape to hold up the straps/make the front a little tighter.

I really want to love this dress, but like others commented, the straps are a little too long. Very true to size every where else. I used a lot of Hollywood tape. It was still fun to wear to dinner with my husband and I got wonderful compliments.

Definitely kind of hard to wear as the backless cut offers no support for the straps. I used a lot of fashion tape. I had a lot of fun with it though and it was perfect for my afternoon backyard bridal shower. I was bummed I didn't get my little bonus gift that I always get with my rentals! Also, the strap of the size 4 dress was torn and almost completely apart. If I had not noticed it and stitched it up myself the strap definitely would have ripped at my arty

This dress was a very cute dress to wear while vacationing in San Diego. The one down-side was that the straps were a little long even though they were adjustable. Otherwise, the dress runs true to size.

I wore this to one of my friend's wedding this summer. I loved the fullness of the skirt and the pattern on the dress. It does run slightly large on the top. If you have a smaller bust, definitely order a size down. The straps do slide down at times, but I found standing up straight/good posture, avoided them from falling down.

I wore this to an outdoor wedding at an Apple Orchard & Farm upstate. It was perfect. Since it wasn't fitted all over, it was comfortable to eat and drink and not worry about a tummy showing! The open back gave it just the right amount of sexy even though it's more of a "pretty" and "sweet" dress.

The straps were not a problem for me. I added the belt to accentuate the waist since it was not as form fitting at the top as I like. I had to use tape for the girls but it was fine because the fabric is not thin enough that any folds or weird textures showed through. Comfy and the back was super sexy!

I LOVED this dress. It fit perfectly and I got a bunch of compliments at a wedding I wore it to. The straps are an issue though--be careful dancing in this dress because as soon as you bend over of forget your posture they're coming off. Also, one of the straps on my dress broke within an hour of putting it on so I had to wear my fiance's jacket all night. I would rent this dress again but wear lots of double sided tape and make sure the straps weren't worn out before wearing it.

I wore this for a very hot summer wedding- it was the perfect choice. I got tons of compliments. I have a full bust and was able to go sans bra- this has never happened before! The low back was sexy and I had no trouble with the straps except when slouching (which I shouldn't have been doing anyways) I was sad to send it back!

The dress was a hit at the wedding I received a lot of complements but like all the other reviews have said you will need fashion tape and patience with this one! It's not exactly "comfortable" and as far as wearing it to a wedding I probably should have reconsidered since the fashion tape fell apart by the end of the night with all the dancing around and I found myself pulling the straps up and lifting the bust area. It runs true to size I'm typically between a 4-6 and they both fit I ended up going with the tighter fit.The ribcage is tight. If you have broad shoulders and back (which I do) it will fit you a little better but you'll still need to work with it. Regardless, it was a beautiful dress my boyfriend found it stunning and the tulle underneath is a great bonus! Thanks RTR!

Glad that the straps were adjustable, because they were definitely too big at first, and I felt like I didn't have enough support. For larger chested women, definitely wear a backless bra (Madienform has a great one on amazon)--especially if you are going to be breaking it down on the dance floor :)

I rented this dress as a recommendation from a RTR stylist for a Marie Antoinette-themed bridal shower. It was perfect for the occasion and I could not have asked for better customer service from Madison! Clearly, as the rest of the reviews say, the straps do not stay upright at all. Also, if you have a bigger chest (I am a 36D), then you will be holding them in for most of the night. However, this was only a problem when I was sitting down or hunched over..... aka, this dress actually helps you remember to practice good posture! Either way, the straps issue is not a deal breaker, especially because this dress is darling, elegant, and the open back is to die for.
