I wore this to a cocktail event to celebrate a Dracula ballet. It was romantic and flowy and fit the theme nicely. (Gothic but stil romantic and pretty) The dress is two entirely separate pieces (a slip and a flowy overdress). The over dress is very delicate and could easily get snagged (there were a couple of small snags in it already, but they didn't show when it was on) It runs very large, but not in a negative way. I'm a size 0 or 2 and 5 ft 7 and it was not super short and was definitely not fitted. I would recommend it for a fun non-costume Halloween party or event. I'm not sure that it would work on a shorter girl but it does hide any trouble spots.

This dress comes in two sizes, xs/s and m/l. I am not a small person so I assumed that the larger would fit. Not the case. Because of the draping sleeves and the elastic waist I was swimming in the m/l and wore the smaller, backup option. Gorgeous in color with beautiful fabric, this dress is not form fitting, so one really has to rock it. Believe in thyself and wear with pride, if you are looking for form fitting look elsewhere. But if you want something special, outside the box, go with it. I wouldn't try to eat soup in it. Worn to the ballet for mothers day, lovely, my mother dear wondered wear I found such a thing. I wore this dress to a casual fall wedding so I did feel a little over-dressed. However, it is beautiful and I got so many compliments on it. I love the flow of the dress. It was very comfortable to sit in and dance in. I ordered both the small and medium and ended up wearing the small which was still, I felt a bit loose-fitting. I did expect to wear the medium, so I was pleased in that sense. Overall, a great dress!

Just got the dress but thinking it is going to have to go back. I ordered the petite/small and am swimming in it. I wear a 6/8 in BCBG and 4/6 in Tracy Reese. The problem is there is no actual belting at the waist. The black band in the photo in front and back are just a black strip and it does not go all the way around. The model's dress would have had to been clipped tight. Such a shame as I love the tunic dresses for my work events in Vegas in August. I guess you can add your own belt to accessorize but I just don't have the right type of belt. It wore like a potato sack on me. :(

I tried this on and felt like I was wearing a garbage bag. It was very loose and too flowy. It didn't even look like a dress, more like a large t-shirt. I would not recommend.

I am 5'3 and slim- It's bit too big and loose... Overall, I didn't like it I think It's for tall girls and definitely need some belt with the dress..
