I was worried that this piece would be a little too tight around the tummy, but it fit like a glove. I could hide my insecurities and still feel beautiful

I wore this to a formal gala and felt like a star! It fit well and was very comfortable. As mentioned by others, I had to use double-sided tape for the neck line to stay in place. The slit was high, but tasteful. I did bring along a shawl to cover my lap while seated. Will definitely rent again!!

This dress was amazing. Perfect for black tie optional, it was breezy and light but it still looked expensive. If I have to complain - The slit was a little high but the neckline is so elevated that it didn’t feel like “too much.”

This dress was AMAZING! The puzzle piece cut out was interesting and flattering. Other reviews mentioned that they had to use fashion tape to keep it flat, but i just steamed it and it stayed put all night. The slit is high but not too high. I was able to sit comfortably. The perfect LBD without being boring. I ordered an XS and Sm but ended up wearing the XS. For reference, I usually wearing a small (or size 4). Rent this dress. You won’t regret it!

This dress was very light which made it perfect for warm weather. The slit is high as others have said but easy to cover when sitting.

After an exhausting search, I landed on this dress partially due to the fact I could wear a normal bra under it (a gentle push gives the cutout a little cleavage peekaboo). Had concerns about the intensity of the slit given my height (or lack thereof) and it was certainly high cut, but I love a dramatic dress slit, so it worked for me (although sitting in this was mad tricky). The material was so comfortable, I wore this on a hot midwestern summer day and did not melt. I got so many compliments! The only cons are that the material is a little on the heavier side and caused the dress droop given it was too big. If I had it to do over I would have sized down as my backup size. I also wish I had better photos; it really is a stunning dress despite its simplistic appearance! Highly recommend if you need a good LBD for a formal affair.

This was such a great dress for a black tie wedding. It needs tape to keep the puzzle pieces in place, and I didn’t have any, but it still looked fabulous. It was very comfortable and easy to move/dance in.

This dress was great! This was my first time renting from Rent the Runway and it didn’t disappoint. This was a classy but fun dress for a black tie wedding. The slit is very high and I had to lay a pashmina on my lap when sitting but when walking and dancing it was no problem. Definitely would wear this again!

This fit like a glove and was not too baggy or too tight. I was comfortable with the slit height and could dance all night! I am in higher heels because I got the LL but even with the extra length when I took my heels off the dress wasn’t a bother.

So many compliments on this flatting dress which covered and revealed in all the right places. So glad to find a gown that allowed me to wear a regular bra too!

in love with this one. so perfect for a late september black tie wedding. bra friendly, easy to move in, and room through through the stomach/torso without being baggy. high slit adds some intrigue, but it is HIGH — if you’re going for a conservative look this probably isn’t for you. the long size is LONG — i’m 5’9” so can go either way with dresses, but had to wear a 4.25” heel witb this one and it was still dragging. ended up changing shoes for the reception because the dress was going to be on the ground no matter what.

Second time renting this dress for a gala, highly recommend, especially for tall people. It’s very forgiving in the stomach area and does not need any shape wear. I do recommend having some sort of fabric tape, I use a little piece of physical therapy tape folded in half, the top cut out to the skin so it doesn’t flop over.

Shipped in two days (indecisive queen). Fabric was fitting enough to squeeze the waist and girls in but flexible enough to be able to move/sit/dance in.

Great dress! I wanted something simple but flattering for an all black wedding. This had just enough individuality to feel special but not flashy. Great find!

Easy to move in, fun to walk around in and overall great dress. Just be mindful of sitting down, that slit can get really close to the undies line. I'd rent it again!

Went with the size Small instead of XS. Used clothing tape to keep the chest fabric flat. So comfy. Easy to slip into for a formal wedding!

Loved this dress! It was lightweight but looked expensive, perfect for a black tie wedding in the summer. The fit was so flattering and the material surprisingly forgiving. Definitely need fashion tape to keep the shape of the neckline, which is floppy without the tape. Great length, I wore 3" heels.

Wore this for my best friends black tie wedding in July. The slit was high but I loved it and it made it easy to dance all night and stay cool in the summer heat! Another review mentioned IT Girl vibes and I couldn’t agree more! I have a fairly straight figure and the waist and hip areas in the dress were a little looser but I prefer things to be looser than tighter so I didn’t mind. I’m between a small and medium but I got the ML for length (34in inseam, 28in waist). The length was perfect with 2.5in heels. The material of the skirt was thinner than the bodice part of the dress but again the dress itself looked formal enough that the thickness of the skirt wasn’t super noticeable as it was all black. I used clothing/body tape to keep the neckline in place. Also I was able to wear a normal bra with the dress! 10/10 would recommend renting!!!!

Loved this dress! Wore it to a black tie wedding and got so many compliments. My only complaint was that the flaps of the asymmetric neckline didn’t stay up but I used a few strips of body tape and didn’t have any problems even after dancing!

This dress made me feel like a million bucks! Loved it! BUT, the slit made me a bit self-conscious for a work event, it is quite high. And if you’re a little more busty for your frame, the neckline might night lay properly. A bit of double stick tape worked perfectly for me. Would not wear for a wedding, but any other event YES! Ordered Large & XL; I preferred the XL for my bust, but it was unflattering everywhere else. They L was great and as mentioned, double-side tape fixed up the busty problem perfectly.

This dress is effortlessly chic and fun to wear. I’m a size 6 and a medium fit but it was a little big. I didn’t need spanx and I could wear a regular bra so this was a win for me! I got so many compliments on this look. I did use shape tape to stop the top from falling over and maintain the structure look of the puzzle neck. This is a fantastic rental and beautiful dress.

The ML fit like a glove! I’m a true 6/8. It had a little stretch to it so it was very comfortable. I had 1-2” heels on and the length was perfect. I used double sided tape to make sure the neckline stayed flat against my chest. The slit was high, but not bad while standing or walking. When I sat, I was more comfortable putting my shaw over my lap so the slit wasn’t too high on my leg. I wore a regular bra. I tried on the large and it fit, but was not as flattering and was a little bit under the arms. Overall, I highly recommend this dress! I loved it!

Perfect dress for NYE celebration!

Had to size up from the M to the L, the M stretched a little on the chest and made the cut out look a little odd. The L was a hair too big but still looked great!

Great for formal events, looks great with gold and green accessories!

I can’t love this dress enough. Elegant, classy and the cut out is sexy & different. May purchase. Wore for a black tie wedding and received compliments all evening. I may buy this dress it’s such a classic. The tiny train gives it such a punch too!

Great dress! Amanda Uprichard dresses always fit well with good material. The neckline is fun, therefore you don’t have to coordinate a necklace - just fun earrings. I’m 108 and wore a 0 but had extra space. Also 5’4” and wore a 2.5/3 inch shoe to have it just at floor length. Would recommend for sure. Comfortable and easy.

Would fit better on smaller/less full bust. Wear a bra with deep-v to prevent showing. Wore with 4” heels and length was perfect. I did have to be cautious with the slit when walking up and down stairs

I wore this to a black tie event. It was low maintenance as I could wear normal undergarments. The slit is high, which I wanted but it needed some adjusting when sitting. The “puzzle” neckline flapped open so I needed double sided tape.

Overall I thought this was really nice, but it involved a ton of tape to keep the neckline from just flopping down. The dress was also surprisingly thin. I was a touch in between XSR and SR, but the SR worked in a pinch.

Everyone I showed this dress to said I should wear it but I had another dress I loved more. The slit is stunning, but the puzzle top didn’t lay flat and I had to use fashion tape which kept popping off. It didn’t do anything for my chest. If I had a shorter torso and a bit larger chest I think it would have fit much better.

This was perfect for a black tie optional wedding. The length worked well for me in heels. As others have mentioned, the top part becomes "flappy" without good tape. The slit is high but I felt it was appropriate! It was surprisingly comfortable.
