I really don't know why this dress gets so many great reviews- I'm a fan of the boxy or swing style that doesn't have waist definition but this one had easily 3-4" too much matter across horizontally. And then the upper arms were tight, so I'm not sure sizing down to a M would have worked. Didn't end up wearing, looked really nightgown-ish.

This dress is perfect for work. I love the black cherry color and the feminine sleeve. I kept it for a while. Will definitely rent again and I considered buying it. Would recommend sizing down.

Loose fitting dress, lovely aubergine color with a sleeve flounce. Comfortable with tights and boots. Could be worn with bare legs and heels. It wasn't that short on me and I'm 5'7".

Wore this for a work dinner during a conference. A little on the short side but good with a pair of tights. I have wide shoulders and the medium fit well. I also like that it's stylish and the sleeves are fun but it's not form-fitting since I work in a male-dominated field. Would rent again!

The color was a beautiful dark plum. The cut was flattering and stylish (loved the sleeves), while forgiving in the stomach. Received compliments. The sleeves were tight on top, so may not work if you have bigger arms.

Wore this for a work meeting during my 2nd trimester. Could also wear it for dinner/drinks, it's very versatile. It fit perfectly, so would be roomy for a non-pregnant person. Length was good on me, not too short for work. Love the sleeves and it was also very comfortable, didn't have to iron it after taking it out of my suitcase!

It is straight without being to boxy. The bell sleeve makes it fun. The simple design enables you to wear a great necklace to dress it up!

Perfect plum color in a simple shift cut. Runs a little small. The large fit me great and I'm typically a 10 in dresses.

This dress is very nice. It's comfortable and lined so no lines show through underneath. The sleeves are a little tight around the beginning of the belled out area, but it's not that bad. It gets short when you sit if you have thick thighs so make sure you do a sit test if you're going to wear spanx shorts underneath. The zipper is hard to zip by yourself so I just squeezed it over my head without unzipping.

Dress is beautiful color, but cut is boxy so I would size down if I between sizes. I'm an 8 (or 6) and the large was too big.
