Used this bag for a two week work trip that involved a bunch of events in different cities... this bag can hang. the long thick strap means you can put a lot of shit in there and somehow doesn't hurt your shoulder. The zipper keeps it all together but also your water bottle can poke out or whatever. Plenty of room to spare with my 2016 surface pro (in case) inside
