Rented this for the golden globes. Was expecting to have to wear spanx but was thrilled when it didnt hug my love handles so I could go without. Im a D/DD so was nervous it'd be too much cleavage but it was the perfect amount - I didn't wear a bra, just pasties (could have gone without them, too but just too be more comfortable!). Runs very true to size. I'm usually an 8/10 and went with the 8 for this and was very comfortable all night!

I felt like a Bond girl, this dress looks a billion times better on that in the photos. I tried it on in store after not liking the dress I ordered and fell instantly in love. It is so comfortable and flattering. I usually wear a 10 but the 8 fit perfect. The only tiny flaw is the zipper in the back was kind of bumpy/wavy but it didn't really matter to me.

I really liked this dress! I was between this one and and a long green dress (also from RTR). I just love classic black. I was definitely glad I went with long in this dress- I'm just over 5'5 (not quite 5'6) and wore low (cpl inch) heels and the dress was the perfect length, just reaching the ground. I was skeptical about others saying they didn't need to wear a bra, but they were right! The dress, although with a satin overlay, was thick enough and fit perfectly up top that I was held in all night with no worry of slips or sags! I would rent this dress again or suggest others to try it!

Runs true to size. I'm a little conscious about my mid section but this dress was perfect for me. Felt comfortable all night. Loved the material and felt good wearing this dress.

I received lots of compliments! I have some cleavage to fill out this dress, but I'm usually shy about showing it off. I was very secure in this dress and received many comments about it. I didn't feel self-conscious or need to tug at it at all. I did need to do a little "MacGuyvering" in the back to keep my bra straps from showing, but otherwise, this was a low-maintenance dress. It was really classy and I was sad to send it back!

The fit of this dress was lovely, true to size. I am a size 12 in most clothing and ordered the 12 with the backup size of 10. The 12 fit well and was very comfortable for a long evening. It is low cut so there will be cleavage.

Loved this dress! I got both size 10 & 12 and the 10 was a perfect fit. I have a little tummy insecurity and the dress wasn’t very forgiving in that area but I made it work. I’m in between sizes and have a large bust (36DDD) but the dress worked beautifully.

Ruffles are in! This gown is great for a formal event and can be dressed up even more with the right accessories. It ran a little large - I would recommend sizing down if you can. It works well with any bust size - a racerback bra should be worn with this due to the way the back is cut. It is fitted at the natural but there is comfortable room in the hips. The gown comes to floor length when 3 inch heels are worn on a 5'4" person - this is for the regular length.

The dress is gorgeous and considering I am so tall, the 6L worked perfectly. The 4L fit better around my bust but I wanted a it more length. Super comfortable and classic. I added a leather jacket to the look to make it a bit more edgy for a wedding in Nashville. So many compliments and I felt beautiful all night.

It fits true to size and has soft fabric that is lightweight. It's my go-to dress for formal weddings.

My hospital has a charity ball every fall. I wore this dress in green last fall. Got tons of compliments. Well, I ordered a different dress this year and when it didn’t fit the wonderful people at RTR overnighted this dress to me in the black. It is comfortable, doesn’t wrinkle and you can wear a racer back bra with it. I got tons of compliments this year, too.

The dress was the perfect length with 4 inch heels (I am 5'9"). The mid section is fitted perfectly and the neckline is just the right amount of sexy. Great dress for a formal dinner.

Dress fit like expected. I ordered a little bigger due to some reviews on the top part. The 8R fit great in the chest, however the length (even with 4" heels) was pretty long as I am only 5"2". It was a little big, but rather it be too big than too small and uncomfortable. Dress is super flattering and comfortable. What I liked the most is that I could wear a bra with it! I had to get a bra strap clip so that the strap couldn't be seen. Would def recommend.

Dress was very flattering and comfortable. Fit like a glove. Wore it to a black-tie dinner dance and got so many compliments! Light weight black silk with shine and deep V neck were elegant but no "too much" to wear around parents.

I LOVED this dress! The cut flattered my curves and I felt completely glamorous and got so many compliments. I ordered the long as a back up (I'm 5'10--tall, but not a giant!) and I'm glad I did. When The regular length was about 2" above the ground and just looked silly, but this fit perfectly with 3" heels. I would definitely consider renting this same dress for a formal occasion!

Very flattering and true to size. You can wear a regular bra and fabric is forgiving yet light weight for a satin dress.

This dress fits PERFECTLY. I have a very pear shaped figure with large endowments up top, so I was nervous about how it would fit. It perfectly hugged my body without being tight or clingy. The V neck was just low enough to show cleavage without being trashy, and I didn't even have to wear a bra with it! It wasn't excessively long, so just be careful with how tall of heels you wear. Overall, it was a 10/10 dress!

I would recommend the regular vs. the long gown, as the gown is already of decent length. I am 5'5 and thought that the fit and length were perfect.

I got this as my original dress and wore the backup instead. I ordered this in an 8R and 6R. The 6R fit perfectly, minus the zipper not laying completely flat on the back. The length was also just a bit too short. The way the ruffle is cut gives the dress an asymmetric bottom. Still a beautiful option, just went with a more summery look!

if you have larger boobs, be aware its fitted and zips completely up the back

I didn't end up wearing this dress. It didn't look as formal as I hoped for my event.

I did not end up wearing this dress, but I could have. It's just a black dress and formal enough for a black tie- just not anything extra.

This dress drapes beautifully, it is fitted where it needs to be but still covers for those of us who are more modest.
