I wear this for Christmas, it may fit better on smaller breast

The fit is excellent. I feel like it was nice and snug around the rib cage, but then the ruffles made it fun and forgiving after having a baby. I LOVED this dress. The color is great, and I was able to wear a normal bra after safety pinning my straps into a racer back style from my normal bra. It was perfect for the upscale Mexican restaurant they had the rehearsal dinner at, and was still modest in the neckline for a family affair. Length was fine - I used black tights since it was cold. Maybe if I was bare legged it would have shown a lot of skin, but still was tasteful and I'm a little over 5'6, wore a size 2. Would have been curious how a size 4 fit. I also now weigh 120, I need to update my profile!

I got this dress to wear to a work christmas party! I loved the dress! It is something different and so fun! I cant tell you how many compliments that i received! I would definitely recommend this dress!

I found choosing a size based on other reviews a bit confusing - I would say it is true to size or runs small depending on the brands you usually wear. For example, in MM la fleur I'm a size 2 for dresses, but for this dress a 4 was perfect. The dress is fitted at the waist and then flares out so it is a nice A-line, so the waist is the most important for fit. My waist is 29". You don't need a bra. Im a B cup, and there was more space to fill in the bust. Dress pairs nice with tights in cold.

I could have worn the 8 or the 10, but the 10 had more room for dinner and dancing. Forgiving but flattering at waistline. Would rent again!

Rented this dress for a date night. I did have to tuck my bra straps in because of the cut of the neck. I felt great in this dress. I loved the layers. Very comfortable and fun.

I rented this dress for a fundraiser at my school, and I absolutely LOVED it! I wanted to be "flapperesque" but didn't want to feel like I was in a costume. It was super comfortable and the perfect length for an event with colleagues and parents. I wore the 6 and it zipped up like a glove! My favorite part were the tiers/ruffles over my stomach they were very forgiving. Eating and drinking all night, I didn't feel that I looked bloated! I got tons of compliments and I felt so confident! :)

Fit great. Perfect at slimming tummy area. I wore a strapless bra, but the fit is snug enough smaller chested gals could go without. Many compliments. I wore it for the American Heart Association Heart Ball, great dress for February events.

I rented this dress for my boyfriend's work dinner and loved it. The color and detail were so nice, I liked it so much more on than I did in pictures. I was afraid it would be too "Christmas-y" but it was not at all - as other reviews say, the color is actually more maroon than red. My only compliant was the size 12 fit but was way too short (I'm 5'10"). I had a baby 2 months ago and the stomach area was loose and made me feel comfortable all night.

Wore this for NYE in Brooklyn, and loved it! Fit overall very well, could wear it with a racer back/front clasp bra. Was worried it would be too short (I'm 5"10"), but it was perfect. Very well made, loved the lace and dark crimson color. Would definitely rent again.

This dress was awesome and super comfortable. I wear a six usually and the waist line was fine but the bust was slightly tight so I opted to wear the 8 instead. Got so many compliments!

The size 2 fit better in the waist but the arms felt tight so I went with the 4. Easy to wear with a racer back bra. Very comfortable and looked very cute while dancing, the layers sort of flared out.

Loved this dress. I am glad I ordered two sizes because I ended up wearing the 14 because the 12 was a little more snug than I would have liked around the waist and hips. The 14 was perfect! Very flattering and got tons of compliments all night!

This dress fit perfectly so I bought it. I wore it for a “Night in Old Havana” party but think it would be a great Christmas holiday cocktail dress too. It was very flattering and felt great to wear.

Wow! I've had a lot of great rentals and this one certainly joins the ranks of my favorites! The fit was true to size and definitely hugs your curves. The fabric is weighted and hides all the right things. I rented this for Christmas Eve mass and felt great all night in it.

This dress is much prettier "in person". Heavy lace but also delicate. Fits like a glove. I didn't not have to wear a bra yay. And the length is perfect for someone my age (50 ish). I'm five six and usually wear an 8 so I would say stick with your true size. I would rent this again. I got a lot of compliments. Ps. The stats are my daughters not mine which is why I included here so there is no confusion.

Worn this dress for a November wedding in Maine, it was perfect. Everyone loved it and kept asking me where I bought it. I wish I could buy this one, it was a truly gorgeous dress. I wore the 14, which is true to size for me, and the cut was very flattering. If there was one tiny downside, it was that my bra straps didn't want to stay put, and kept creeping into view. (I wore the sweater over the dress for most of the day because it was chilly anyway.) At 5'9" I was worried that this would be too short on me, but it was really fine. Maybe in inch or two shorter than something I would usually wear, but still totally acceptable. I highly recommend this dress!!

I loved this dress and did not want to return it. I rented it for my friend's bridal shower that was a "tea party" theme. I usually wear a 2 or 4, more so a 2. It was true to size- the 2 fit so great that I did not even open the back up 4. It was a little chilly so I paired it with black tights and a black sweater, with black mary jane shoes. I received so many compliments. This dress was so cute and fun. I am also usually really conscious about the lengths of dresses- I have long legs so even longer-ish dresses look short on me. This was the perfect length. You are able to wear a standard bra with it, although my straps showed, so I pulled them back with some rescue/double sided tape. You couldn't see if with my sweater I would rent it again and highly recommend it! Thanks RTR.

Excellent choice for an outdoor wedding. Received tons of compliments! This dress is made of quality material and was surprisingly comfortable. Fit was great but larger busts may find it a bit tight up top.

I rented this as a backup option for a wedding in my Update box and ended up wearing it 2 more times this month - to dinner and to a broadway play. Beautiful on its own, but also perfect with tights and a trench on a cold night. Rich raspberry color, forgiving lace layers, and very comfortable. Some lace dresses are hard to zip, but this one gave me no problems. I wore a strapless bra but you may be able to do regular also. Fits true to size. A perfect choice!!

This dress is really pretty in person. I got compliments on it all night. The color is a deeper red than shown on RTR. It's more maroon. The fabric is heavy, and the dress is pretty structured which if fitted properly, you won't need a bra. You CAN wear a real bra with this but a razorback bra would be best. I ended up wearing a strapless bra and it was perfect. If you're in between sizes like me, I felt like it fit true to size. I'm 5'6" and 170 lbs and the size 12 fit flawlessly. I had ordered the 10 as my backup but never even tried it on because the 12 was perfect. I wore this to a semi-formal affair in New Orleans where it was 95 degrees and extremely humid. I was nervous that because of the heavy fabric, it would be too hot but I was fine. This dress seemed pretty versatile, where you could dress it up or down for a variety of events.

This is definitely my favorite RTR rental ever! I received many compliments and felt like a million bucks in it! I rented the 8 and 10 but went with the 8 because I felt slimmer with the way it fit me. The dress required a strapless bra for me (36D) and minimized my chest which I felt made my silhouette look nicer. The best part of this dress is that I did not need spanx and could wear normal underwear. I highly recommend this dress!

Fit was awesome. This dress was perfect for dancing and I got lots of compliments. Normally wear a 16. Wearing normal size. A little hard to zip over the Ribcage but not uncomfortable in the least.

I wasn't sure what my dress size was. The 12 fit just fine, but the 14 felt more comfortable and gave me more freedom to move on the dance floor.
