Fit like a glove. Rented both 8 and 10 not knowing how sizing ran. Used the 8. Ran true to size. Only be aware there are no cups and you cannot wear a bra. It is backless dress, so plan on tanning your back and shoulders, even your mid breast area. The lining on the dress is thin, and the back zipper is low. So, depending on your height spanx may be impossible. I did not try to wear them.. Just be sure to re-adjust the lining every time you use the bathroom. It must be perfectly straight, or it will give you a fake muffin top!! Also plan on wearing 4" heels or higher if you are 5'5 or shorter renting a regular, I almost thought it would be too long. Definitely recommend this gorgeous gown!

The fit was perfect

This dress is so comfortable and flattering- perfect for a formal event! The top was surprisingly supportive, and I was even able to wear it comfortably without a bra. I usually wear between a 6 and an 8 with a 36D chest, and the 6R was perfect. The color was just as vibrant as the pictures show. Would definitely recommend!

Everywhere I turned I received compliments on this dress! I felt amazing in it! It fit true to size and the long was perfect with my height and heels. The keyhole has a lot to show if you have a lot to show ;) but I thought it was fun! Loved this dress!

I absolutely loved this gown. I ordered something else initially, but it ran small, so I went to the local RTR store to exchange it to sth else for my event. I fell in love with this dress instantly when I tried it. It is super comfortable, yet elegant, and a big plus is that you cannot wear a bra and the fabric is not see through, so you feel confident. The back is cut out which makes this dress even sexier, and the shade of the red is super beautiful. Definitely a showstopper with red lips. I got lots of compliments.

We picked this dress as a backup dress to another rental and we are so grateful we did. It runs true to size. I was worried it might not be long enough for my daughter, who is 5'9" and a size 14, but the length was perfect. It runs true to size and was a gorgeous red. It wasn't too tight on her and left a little room for comfort. She loved it and we think it suited the occasion perfect.

Absolutely loved this dress! The long was perfect for me to wear heels. It was very comfortable and the material was thick and had a little stretch. My chest didn't fill it out quite as much as is designed for the dress, but it wasn't bad! I was able to wear my nude sticky bra and it barely showed. Got a ton of compliments!

This dress was actually my back up dress but I liked it more than my primary! It runs a little large as my primary dress was a size 4 and was tighter than I wanted and this one was a 2 and fit well. Very comfortable and flattering. The open back looks nice and it's not too low. The fabric has a little give which makes the fit better. It would be hard to wear a bra with this but the thick fabric and halter style top made it not necessary. The triangle cut out in front is a nice touch. I'm pretty short so it showed a little more "underboob" than I might have wanted but it really wasn't noticeable (at least that's what my husband said...). The petite wasn't available so I had to use hem tape to adjust the length. The dress and the lining. But I had a local tailor shop do it for me and it looked great and held nicely. I wore it for 6 hours, including a lot of dancing, and had no issues at all. I got several compliments and I highly recommend this dress!

Super comfortable dress, fit perfectly in the waist and bust area. The only con is the length for someone as short as me because they do not have a petite option for this style.

This dress was perfect for a Mardi Gras ball. I am 5'2" and it needed heels but I changed into flats and it wasn't absurdly long. The cups at the bust have seams that make it a little pointed but nothing absurd if you have a larger bust. It was hard to get underwear not to show it because it doesn't hide much. I got a lot of compliments and enjoyed wearing it.

This is a great dress, I got so many compliments! I wore it to an outdoor wedding in South Florida in November and it was perfect for the beautiful weather. I am smaller on top and carry most of my weight in my butt and hips and the dress fit me perfectly. Maybe just a tiny bit large on top. I didn't wear a bra- only nipple covers and never felt uncomfortable while dancing all night. Hightly recommend.

I am 5'8, 160 lbs (Crossfit body type so I am shaped funny - broad shoulders, thick thighs and rear area). The 8L fit perfectly.

I learned a lot about myself. I am not a woman who typically dresses up or wears dresses for that matter (work requires me to wear jeans and polos/silk shirts). I ordered the 4 and the 6 because those are typically what I wear; turns out I could have fit in the 2! Which is awesome. It was very true to size and despite my own personal error, I did not have an issue with the dress. I am short (5'4.5"), and even with the gown being floor length I was not walking all over the bottom all over the place. People really loved the dress, and I was very happy to tell them that I rented it from Rent the Runway. Most women for events like this drive all over and try on all the dresses and get frustrated and I didn't have to do all of that, plus pay a ridiculous fee. I picked the cut I liked, the size I needed, and I was on my way. I will definitely be using Rent the Runway more often!

This dress is one of my all time favorites! It was super comfortable, made of thicker material and lined, so it looked smooth and sleek on. I got so many compliments on it! I wore the 8L and it was a bit big but I felt more comfortable in it (although the 6L would have held the bust better since I couldn't find a bra to work with this dress). I wore flat ankle strap shoes with this and felt that even the 8L may be too short for a small heel. The back is really low and the front cut out makes it a bit hard to find a bra that works (even if it's a backless stick on type). I tried the nubra with this but it was still visible in the front and provided no lift, so chose to wear it sans bra. Overall the dress was amazing, sexy, and perfect for a black tie optional wedding. It also had a good amount of stretch to it which made it even more comfy!

Loved the color and fit. Felt very secure all night. The one con is the top buttons. You WILL need someone to help you fasten the buttons. Impossible on your own.

This dress is comfortable, flattering, and just the right length. Perfect for a nice event when you want a dress that you aren't adjusting all night! I'm borderline size 0-2 and I felt the 0R fit just right. The cut of the dress is very flattering as well, it is just structured enough to show your curves. I'm also pretty short but with a pair of 3 inch heels the dress was just the right length.

The back and front cut out really make it something special. The a line fit just skims the hips. You have to be careful about the front cut out because of showing some underboobage! Need a backless bra, the darts are also a bit too pointy, but a great dress.

It fits great and the color is beautiful but you will have very pointy darts around your chest. Probably better suited to someone with a bigger chest. I'm 5'1" and my heels wouldn't have had to be too high

The material is thick and it was very comfortable. Impossible to wear a bra, though!

I was very happy with my decision to rent this dress! Overall the fit was true to size, I liked the fit of the 2 better for my body, but ultimately needed the 4 for the added fabric in the bust (34D). Ladies, be warned, you will need fashion tape to ensure the cute peek-a-boo stays in place - but I expected this and it's worth it for the fun nature of the dress! Many compliments received all night and felt awesome! Thank you Rent the Runway for another great experience.

Dress fit very nicely. I did have to adjust the lining a couple times throughout the night and Due to the cut you can't wear a bra. Fits true to size. Dress did come with a small hole in the seam, which I repaired myself. I loved the dress and loved the convenience. Awesome experience!!

Really loved the cut and fit of this dress, with the exception of the bust. Was able to wear a padded Nu Bra (with the clasp above the front cutout) to fill out the top. The fabric creates some pointy darts at the bust, which was annoying. I tried to iron between the liner and outer fabric layer to keep the fabric folds flat, but it didn't entirely solve the problem. Otherwise awesome color, somewhat thin and wore thin spanx underneath (seamless underwear showed outline). I'm 5'3 and this dress touched the floor with three inch heels.

The boob area was big and pointy looking, but I used stick on boobs to help fill in. I'm a 32C bra size by the way. Otherwise loved it and felt glamorous.

I wore this dress to my school's Barristers' Ball. I was sent this dress instead of the one I originally selected because of problems with the original dress. I had pretty low expectations since I didn't like the way this one looked online as much as the original one. But I was pleasantly surprised! It is a very flattering dress. My only caveat is about the underbust cut-out. If you are a bustier lady, this might not be the dress for you. If I hadn't used some fashion tape creatively, it would have been indecent. Otherwise, it was fantastic. It is stretchy and comfortable.

I loved this dress on, it was so comfortable. The favric was stretchier than I expected but it was very formal! The cut out was so cute and classy. The only bad thing was that the 8L wasn't long enough. I had to wear the 10L which was a little too big, but it was the right length. Not the worst problem in the world but I do wish the long was a little longer.

The darts at the bust area hit at a weird place for me. I had to get a stick on bra and fill up the bust area a little amd it was fine! Otherwise, great dress! Loved it!

I wear between 8-10 and always order long because I am 6'0 and it was NOT long enough. The fit was good, but the long was not long at all.

Loved the idea of this dress, but the seaming on the chest made it look like I had the pointiest boobs, so much so that I didn't feel comfortable wearing the dress. I'm a 34C and generally have no issue filling out tops, so in this instance it was definitely the stiching. Unfortunately, this one didn't make it out of my apartment :(

This dress was perfect. It was glamorous in red and sooo comfortable. I did not need to wear any shapewear with it because the fabric was substantial enough. Received so many compliments.
