Incredibly intricate textured detailing in the front, beautiful satin deep V in the back, comfy

I was surprised how much I liked this dress! Pretty soft and comfortable, the front is beautifully textured and looks like a gorgeous black/grey/gold topographical map. I strongly dislike cap sleeves and I still liked this dress. It runs a tiny bit big, which I didn't mind because that helped keep it comfortable and appropriate for the work event. The back surprised me how satiny it was; the V in back is lined with smooth black satin, as is the tail. I got a number of compliments from males and females. Dress definitely attracts attention in a classy way. Downside: the soft, delicate fabric in front gets pulls very easily and doesn't age as well as traditional fabrics.

Runs HUGE, not large!

I was actually ok with this not fitting for the wedding I had. It's definitely better suited for winter around the holidays. It runs seriously huge. I am usually an 8 or 10, and this is the size SIX on me.

Gorgeous silhouette! The back of this dress is very unique!

I have an hourglass/pear shape, and I think this dress would do better on another body type. The white in this dress is more like a medium dark gray. The dress is very beautifully crafted! Give this one a try!

Unique dress, beautiful fabric and design details.

This size (40) was the smallest available and was slightly too big for me, particularly around the waist, The tag inside listed the US equivalent as size 4. Absolutely stunning dress, received many compliments. A woman I did not know at the large gala we attended proclaimed it "the best dress of the night!"

Felt great in the dress!

Fit was generous -- almost could have used a size smaller. Outstanding dress though. So many complements. I wore with a black leather jacket.

Nice dress

You need to be tall in order to pull this dress off. Otherwise the skirt ends up below the knees and looks awkward. Fits true to size but sent without wearing.

Beautiful dress and wayyyy too roomy

Rented this for a black tie optional wedding as a back up. My first choice ended up being damaged beyond repair so two others came. I loved this dress but as a normal 2 or 4, the size 0 was roomy and also for someone of petite status like myself it's a bit long. If your tall and a size 6 a zero in this would likely fit you and look fantastic and unique!

Cute dress but unfortunately, even the smallest size was too large (noticeably in waist).

Runs HUGE!

Ended up being so big I couldn't wear it at all. Such a shame though because it is a beautiful dress.

I tried this on in the NYC store and loved it. Super interesting textile and sculptural design.

It fits large but I don't think in an unflattering way, it's kind of boxy at the front with the open back. The smaller sizes just weren't available, it could have been more flattering perhaps if it was more fitted at the waist.

Great fabric, VERY boxy on top - great for top heavy girls!

This dress has WONDERFUL detail on the back pleating but the fabric near the shoulders (where someone may have carried a bag) is slightly frayed. RTR is generally superb at retiring dresses so chances are, the 42 sent to me is already out of circulation. The dress runs slightly large in the waist and very roomy in the bust. I couldn't fill it out even with a push-up bra but would be a lovely, timeless choice. Appropriate for all ages and has GREAT pockets.

Gorgeous dress! I am normally a size 4-6, and I rented the size 38 and it was slightly big.

Dress runs big. Gorgeous dress, but I continue to stress that Rent the Runway must do a better job of quality control over its dresses. This dress had gold threads bursting out of it and was pilling in the front. Not ideal for a formal dress.
