I had to pin up the hem a bit as the gown was a bit too long in the first place (I ordered a 38 R). Definitely wear this with simple jewelry to allow the gown to shine. Thanks RTR!

This dress was absolutely gorgeous. The print was absolutely beautiful and the dress fit like a glove. I felt so beautiful in it! The highlight of my night was walking into my very formal event and literally every woman I passed turned around to stare at my dress! I got compliments all night long! Thanks RTR for an unforgettable night!

I am 5'9 about 140 and a 34B....and this dress fit me perfectly! It was snug at the top - which is what I want when wearing a strapless gown...no movement at all. The length was also perfect - I wore 4" heels with this and it was the perfect length. I had so many people stop me throughout the night and say how much the loved my gown and the gala chairwoman even stopped me to say my gown was her favorite of the evening (in a crowd of about 1,000-1,500 people). The best part about this was this was not the gown I originally ordered....I received an email from RTR stylists about 2 days before my event, saying my original gown selection was damaged beyond repair and I could select something different (at no additional charge). After some additional emails, RTR ended up sending me four additional gown options (both sizes of my original gown were no longer available), as well as a pair of earrings. The gown I wore was stunning - but the customer service was above and beyond amazing. That alone will keep me coming back for more! If you want to stand out as the best dressed at a gala or formal event - this is the dress to wear!

I'm a pretty standard size 4 and this was a bit loose on the top, but short in the skirt. With 3 inch heels I am 6'1 and it was just long enough to skim the top of the shoes. (I paired this with leopard sling backs) If I had gone a size down it would have been too short. I wore it to a black tie gala and it was the dressiest gown there, but people seemed to love the uniqueness. It was also the dressiest outfit when we went on a Shake Shack run post event, but comfy enough for me to feel ok rolling in and chowing down.

First off, RTR's customer service is just all-around incredible. They did everything they could to ensure that I was not left to hang and dry when my originally chosen gowns were returned too late or damaged making them unavailable. So I really have to think them for having been so above and beyond. I'll admit, that at first I was worried this gown would be boxy, look too matronly or just simply not look good at all. I couldn't have been more wrong! The material was fantastic, heavy in the best of ways in that it felt luxurious and the gold detail on the skirt was even more fabulous is person. This gown is definitely even more breathtaking in person, photos really don't do it justice. It also has pockets! No need for a clutch that you have to constantly make sure you're not forgetting somewhere! There were only 3 cons. The first was that the zipper was an absolute nightmare. It was horrible. It took two people to get it closed, regardless of whether the gown was on or off. So it was not sizing related. Secondly, the bust was a little big. I don't think I have a small chest so it was fairly annoying that it was roomy enough to have me stressing about it moving around the whole night. Tried a strapless bra and it ended up giving me a weird flattened square uni-boob look. Although it's not really a con since there were no more Regulars left when RTR sent me this one, the Long was WAY long. I'm 5"6 and wore 5-inch heels and still had to pick the skirt up whenever I moved or walked around or else my feet kept getting caught in it/it would drag on the floor. So unless you're planning on wearing 5inch+ heels and you're taller than 5"7, go regular. But overall, this was a gorgeous gown. Got so many compliments and was told by the event photographer that I had the best one. Definitely a choice worth making!!

Zipper is ridiculously small. I wanted to wear the 42 as the 44 was a little loose but the zipper was so small that even though it should have easily closed we couldn't do it. Definitely a multi person job to zip so go up a size. Gorgeous gown and a show stopper without being flashy.

The top and general fit was a little big overall and I did tend to pull it up but overall it was perfect for the art opening gala we attended. I would have liked to have more of a waist, however. I should have rented the long, I was forced to wear flats with this dress. If you are over 5'8 and want to wear heels rent the long.

My first choice and size was damaged so they couldn't send. So they gave me another choice of any dress available. There wasn't many left on this busy weekend. Well they sent me this dress. I think it's more beautiful in pics. It was very large and I had to have a friend tighten the inner corset. I still found myself pulling it up all night.

It arrived in impeccable condition and is a luxurious and detailed dress made with very high quality fabrics (a satiny corset with lots of structure and a flowy soft but textured skirt). But the dress didn't work for me. The corset was surprisingly large (so I didn't end up wearing the dress to an art exhibition) and the top band of the corset surprisingly seemed to flare slightly outward (so the top of the corset gaps a bit away from the chest making you hope you are the tallest person around) instead of snugly fitting like in the photo. Also, the side zipper in the corset is tiny and impossible. Not just inconvenient, but impossible. I never got it up more than an inch, and that's even with the corset being too big for me! Perhaps a difficult but doable job with two people. I tried until my fingers were red and sore and I gave up. I see no design reason why this zipper has to be so tiny and terrible. Also, this is just a matter of taste, but there was a rather large area of grey in the front middle of the skirt before the detailing started, and I wish the detailing started sooner because the drab grey is not the best aspect of the dress.

I was so excited when I opened the box and saw this beautiful gown! This was my first rental experience and I was a bit worried that the dress wouldn't fit, especially because there were no comments available. I emailed more detailed information and received excellent advice. I ordered the 40R and the 42R hoping that one size might fit and the dress would be long enough for me. The 40R fit like a glove. I am pretty straight and narrow with a small bust and this dress really gave me a beautiful shape. (FYI- It's really small in the bust) It was long enough to wear 3" heels- a bit taller than I wanted, but I was so glad that it wasn't too short!! Oh- and it has pockets!!! Loved it! I felt so beautiful and got so many compliments. More than one person said that I looked like Audrey Hepburn. Thank you Rent the Runway for making the evening so special!!

I selected this gown as an option after both of the sizes of the original dress I rented for a black tie optional winter wedding were unable to ship to me. I really liked this gown...to be worn by someone else! It completely made me look flat-chested, which is not something I'm used to with a 32DD bra size. The corset of the dress is simply a tube, with no shape in the bust area (think terrible sports bra uniboob look with no stretch). This dress was designed for small chested women. Despite flattening me, the dress was too large, and I could pull it down to my waste. I didn't try it on with a strapless bra, but I shouldn't have to with a strapless dress; the corset should be tight and supportive on its own. The length was right for me in 4" heels, and the fabric was gorgeous. A great gown for the right body!

I was a little disappointed with this dress. Zipper was very hard to zip. I eventually just gave up and didn't even bother with it as I luckily had other back up dresses. I also didn't like the bottom skirt color. It was more of a light grey color. I thought it was more of a beige/cream color. For the money to rent this I wasn't overly impressed!

WAAAAAAY too long. Also very large in the bust area -- I'd order a size down AND regular length (not long) unless you are 6' or taller.

Unfortunately I was unable to wear it. The zipper is almost non-functioning, very difficult to zip. I was afraid to zip, for fear I'd damage the dress. The bust was small on me and a little short waisted. To be fair, I'm long waisted and sometimes have issue with strapless dresses. The length was good with 4 inch heels. Four stars instead of five because of damaged zipper. If RTR fixes the zipper, 5 stars!
