The dress is of exceptional quality. The fabric is thick but not heavy. It accentuates the curve on the small of your back. The front was a little lose so I had to pull it up a few times, but I think that's because I don't have the biggest breasts in the world. It makes you keep posture all the while being comfortable. Compliments left and right. About the color, the elegance, the overall beauty of this stunning Alberta Ferretti work of art. Yay!

The 44R was snug, but actually perfect. They didnt have an 8 so i wore the 6, i believe and i'm normally a 10/12. The fabric is heavy which makes it quite lovely and the red is smashing. This is my 4th rental from rtr and my definite go to.

This dress is a stunning red! Heavy weight silk form fits the top part of your body. I am almost 5'9" and with heels, the dress was long. Also, order down in size. I am a size 12 and the 46 (size 8) fit perfectly. The cut is beautiful and hides and lower imperfections (ie baby weight). Plus--I didn't have to wear spanx! You will get tons of compliments in this dress and feel like a part of old Hollywood. I recommend red lipstick :)

This dress is the bomb! I received compliments all night long about how much people loved this dress. I wore it to prom, and although it may seem too formal, the gown stood out and wasn't a trashy or typical prom dress. It makes you feel like a million bucks! The corseted bodice holds you in and the dress up so I didn't feel the need to tug at the top all night while dancing. And for us girls with tiny busts, it gives you cleavage! Needless to say, I love this dress!

This dress was absolutely incredible, I didn't want to take it off! It was extremely comfortable and easy to move around in. Although it is incredibly long (especially for my 5'1" frame) and was still dragging on the floor with 6 inch heels on. I usually wear a size 0 for most dresses, but I ended up wearing the 2 (40R) because the 0 (38R) would not zip in the chest area. Overall, this was my first experience with RTR and I'd definitely do it again.

This dress is great! It does run big and long, as everyone has said in the other reviews. BUT! I will say that I usually wear a 4 and since everyone said order down I did, and the 2 was literally unzip-able!! I was super disappointed because they were out of the 4L, so I only ordered a 4R and it was a biiiiiit short (just barely graced the floor so I had to wear flats) and too big around the waist and chest (but I bought "chicken cutlets" and it made my boobs pop nicer than normal!). But other than the extreme size difference between the two and the length of the dress for my height, everything was flawless. Clean, beautiful, heavy amazing dress. I absolutely adored it.

This is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. The photo does not do it justice. I am normally a size 0 or 2 and went with the 0. I am 5'7" and wore 5" inch heels so i ordered the long. It was a little bit too long but not bad. The color is beautiful and the fit is very flattering. It was super comfortable and I had no trouble dancing in it. I got SO many compliments on this dress and I hated having to send it back! Favorite dress I've ever worn!

I'm 5'6" and I wore 4 1/2 inch heels with the R and it was literally the perfect length. LOVED the pockets! I ordered the 42R and the 40R and went with the 40. It was a little tighter, which was better because I didn't have to constantly pull it up all night long!

This was my first RTR experience and I was very pleased. I loved the dress and loved the service. The quality of the dress was wonderful and the pockets were very convenient!

Felt like a million dollars in this dress. Perfectly suited for my black tie event at The Plaza in NYC. The dress was very comfortable and had POCKETS! Flattering fit and the color worked beautifully with my light skin tone. Def. recommend!

I ordered the 8L and the 10L. The length was great and would have been on the floor with 2-3 inch heels, just grazed the floor with 4-5 inch heels. I went with the higher heel to really lengthen out the look. The 10L was too big in the bodice and the bust. The 8L fit perfectly but did something weird with smashing the breasts so I did not wear that one. If only the chest had a better fit I would have preferred the 8L. There is great support in the dress but because the 10L was loose I did have to do the strapless tug up throughout the evening. Well worth it. I would recommend sizing down a full size or more for the back up. The dress is a heavy silk, so rich and so elegant. I wore minimal accessories and let the dress speak for itself. I really enjoyed it. So many compliments and it photographs so well. Another standout from RTR!

Excellent customer service. Received a call and email from RTR on Thursday. The dress I originally ordered was damaged (both sizes) so they couldn't send me those dresses. Toni sent a page of what was available in red and my size. I was able to choose any dress regardless of price. The new choices were sent over night so I received on Friday for my event on Saturday. The dress I chose does run a little large so I wore the smaller size. The dress has pockets so great for a gala where you need business cards or a phone.

Stunning design and shape. This gown is a true princess dress - and it has pockets! Very comfortable shape in a gorgeous lush read material. Runs a tiny bit big, so I would size down to avoid walking around with too much excess fabric!

The candy apple red is even more gorgeous in person! The dress fit perfectly up top! While the dress is made of a heavier fabric, its not too heavy where you would be uncomfortable after a long night. This is a gorgeous dress that would look great on just about anyone! Can't wait to see all of the events that other women will wear this gown to!

I rented the regular length dress since I wanted to wear flats. The dress came right to the floor and was perfect. The top fit snug which was nice since I wasn't pulling it up all night. I danced in the dress for hours and didn't have any issues. The best part was it has pockets! I was able to keep my phone, camera and lipstick in the pockets and no one could tell. The pockets do not make the dress bulky at all. Everyone commented on how nice the dress was and it looks great in photos.

the dress was extremely comfortable! i wore it for prom and it was very easy to dance in. there is an extra zip-up corset in the top to make your boobs look awesome!! in LOVE with this dress.

The color of this dress is really pretty---I would say it's a bit darker than the picture shows. This dress definitely runs a little large, especially in length. I am 5'9 140lbs and go the 42L. It fit great up top, but was REALLY long, the regular would have been perfect. I wore about a 3-4 inch heel, and you can see it's still long in my picture. I am a small 34C, and I can't imagine being able to fit a bigger chest in this dress, so be careful if you're a C+. The fabric of the dress is great, slightly heavy, but I danced most of the night, and it was fine. The pockets are amazing, and were a big hit! Overall, I was thrilled with this dress and it was ideal for this formal gala!

This dress would have been perfect in one size smaller. The waist and chest were too big and since the skirt is so heavy I had to tape it all around and hold it up all night. The long was a good length for me with 3" heels, but seemed longer than a typical dress.

The 42L fit me perfectly. I'm usually a 4 or 6. I was worried it wouldn't fit my DD's but it gave me plenty of room! This dress is perfect if you're self conscious about your tummy or hips. The volume of the dress hides it, yet still gives you a waist. The only problem I had was a small rip on the back seam of the dress. My mom stitched it up and you couldn't even tell. RTR offered to reimburse me for the mending, but good thing my mother doesn't charge. Overall I was very happy with the dress and the way it looked. It really stood out at my prom!

Runs large. I am usually a 4 or 6, and I could have gone with a 2. Made dancing difficult as I was pulling up the dress all night to make sure my bra wasn't showing, and the fabric is too heavy for double stick tape.

Heavy material is really high quality. Fit perfectly! I would HIGHLY recommend it! Loved the pockets and was truly elegant. Didn't end up wearing this dress because I loved my other one too, but I am going to definitely rent it again!

Wore as a Vanna White costume. Would rent again to wear at any formal affair.

This is a beautiful dress, but I had to return it because it was HUGE in the chest.

I loved this dress. The fabric is gorgeous, and the cut was very flattering and... best of all... it has pockets! I wore this to a black tie Christmas dinner, and received many compliments through the night. I felt incredible and would wear it again. Also, I wore the 8, rather than the 10. Definitely size down for your back-up dress.

It fits HUGE!! Literately order 2 sizes smaller!!! beautiful dress if it would have come in the right size.

This dress is beautiful and comfortable. I only wish I had ordered the 8 as a back-up. I was concerned about the size 10 as I am busty on top and small on the bottom. I was sure that getting the 10 was a stretch so didn't bother even considering the 8-WRONG! I think it would have been a better fit. I had to keep pulling the dress up because it felt as if it were falling. Also, it is VERY LONG! I had on 4 inch heels and still had to use fashion tape to give it a 3 inch hem! The material is lovely and it is heavy but that was good as the night was chilly. You could tell that the dress was from a high-end designer!

This is a beautiful dress, but it definitely runs big. I usually wear a 4 on the top, but in this dress I could of worn a zero. Unfortunately, when I contacted RTR for a different size, it was unavailable. The customer service is so wonderful that they found me another dress and had it to my door in 1 day. They were very accommodating and helpful.

This dress is a show stopper if you are going to a formal affair! The only negative is that it runs very big. There were not a lot of reviews when I rented this. I wish i would of known how big it runs. Unfortunately they did not have the 42 for me but it was so pretty I wore the 44 anyway. I'm 5'8" and wore 3-4 inch heals. I had to pick it up when i walked or walk very slowly to prevent me from tripping. The fabric is heavy.

This dress is very elegant like old Hollywood and I felt very glamorous in it. It runs very large and I actually was 2 sizes down. The dress has beautiful structure with boning in the bodice in the dress which makes it very easy to wear and easy to move around!

This dress is SO pretty - it just runs SUPER large. Next time I'll order a size 2 or 4 and should be good :) Very cute

The material is and dress as a whole was very elegant. I just wish it fit a little better. There is a A LOT of material so the skirt is very full and the length was a little long. I wore platform pumps with 5-6 inch heels and it was still about .5 inch too long. The top half also fit a little bit big, both too wide and too big in the bust. There is a corset inside so you shouldn't need a bra but I wore one to help the top fit better.

This dress is absolutely stunning and is beautifully made! However, it is huge. I normally wear an 8 to 10 in dresses, depending on the designer. The 48L was the only available option for my rental dates, so I took a chance. Fortunately I had a backup dress in my closet as the dress was a solid two sizes too large. In the correct size, this dress would have been stunning!

This dress is beautiful and very elegant (although the color of the red is a bit duller in real life than it looks in the photo). But if you have a bigger chest (34D) and narrow hips like me, I'd recommend staying away from this dress. I ordered a size 40, and it fit perfectly in the waist and hips, but was way too small on top. I was concerned that if I got a size big enough to zip up over my chest, then the dress would swim around the lower half of my body, so I ended up requesting a different replacement dress. But if have more of a straight or hourglass figure, then I'd definitely recommend this dress!

runs a bit long.

It was well tailored to fit the sizing the was suggested. The bodice was tight enough for the top to stay on and well in place. I'm small up top so I usually have to get strapless dresses taken in. The bodice is high enough that you don't have to worry about that little annoying armpit pooch (if you have one). But this was true to size. No need for an iron since the fabric is heavy and hangs out nicely. Not as "flowy" as the picture makes it look. But the stiffness actually adds to the elegance of the form. And if you're hippy like I am, you'll like the extra big of coverage that doesn't show how much you ate at dinner.
