I rented this for a military ball and the 38L was perfect with my 4" heels. I would recommend going a size smaller, as the draping in the breasts is a little loose. I was able to wear my NuBra & seamless panties underneath.

The front is tricky if you don't want to expose too much...chest. I had to use double sided tape and safety pin the front closed a little bit so that I didnt reveal anything. It was an easy fix and totally worth it because the rest of the dress fit amazingly! It was the perfect length (I'm pretty tall so I was worried it might not cover my fit but it went exactly to the floor when I was standing. I also wore about 4 inch heels. The back of the dress was a hit! I got so many compliments. It's an incredibly sexy dress but classy enough for a formal event, and I would recommend it to anyone.

This dress is very flattering and I received a lot of compliments on it. Wore it for a winter wedding, and it was perfect for the event. You'll definitely need some body tape to hold this dress in place, but I highly recommend it!

I rented this for a friends weeding i got the 40r and 40l . Now if you are 5,6 or taller go with L because the R will be way too short. I wore spanx because the dress hug every curve ... The back is beautiful and the fit was extremely flattering !!

Alberta Feretti has done it again! This dress was a masterpiece, and all eyes were on me! The material is comfortable, but I would definitely recommend a nubra because of the detailed back!

It fit well, was a little tricky to get on (I had to go look at the pictures on RTR to see where the straps went!) and I definitely needed the stick on bra.

Rented for a white tie event. The dress warps up the body beautifully. The design on the back is a stunner. I took one star off because the dress shows too much of the breast. Probably created for a more generous decolté' than mine. I had to pin the dress to avoid "incidents". I addition if you have a very small waist the dress remains loose on the belly (but it doesn't shows in the pics because the dress is black.

fit was very flattering! I would suggest going down a size as the dress is made of jersey and very stretchy-especially if you have a small waist-other wise fabulous and very sexy!

I was very happy with this gown and received plenty of compliments. It was a tad too sexy and I felt a little self-conscious about how low it was in the front. Perhaps if I pinned it I would have felt more comfortable. Regardless, the back was exquisite and I am glad I rented this gown.

Loved this dress so much. I felt super elegant and was obsessed with the back. Also, since I'm pretty short (5'3"), I was happy with the length. I wore my standard 4" heels and the length was great! Had to deduct one star though because it took me forever to get on! The straps are really complicated, so I would make sure to look at the photos on this site and try to get all the straps in the right place BEFORE you step in to it. Takes some work, but worth it!

This dress is so gorgeous but the material stretched so much throughout the night. It did run long and a little big. I recommend getting a size down.

We had a terrible snow storm and our city shut down for 3 days so my dress ended up not making it for my event because the mail quit running. I love this dress though and plan on ordering it next time I have another event to go to. Customer Service was great about refunding the money. I contacted them and told them it was still in transit but didn't need it and they went ahead and took care of intercepting the package so I didn't have to worry about taking it back to UPS, they did it all. Good customer service.

If you are tall - definately order the tall size, luckily I wore smaller heels so that was not an issue. The back of the dress can be a little complicated so just be patient. I would rent this again! The one issue I had with is was for a dress that costs $1500 regularly, it seemed to be made of cheaper fabric and wasn't in my mind worth that kind of money. No matter - I rented it!

This dress was my alternate and I had to wear it because my first choice did not look right (thank you RTR for this policy). I accessorized with the Rodrigo Otazu Insanely Crystal Cuff and the Janis Savitt Drop Gold Earrings which replicate the crystal pattern of the bracelet. The combination was a show stopper. I received many compliments and inquiries on both the dress and jewelry (future RTR members – I’m sure!). I am a fit-5’2” and 32DD the gown fit true to size but was long even with 3 inch heels.

I'm typically a 4, but ordered the 6 as well to be safe. They both fit about the same, but I wore the 4 because it was longer. I'm 5'5" and it dusted the floor in 4.5" heels

While I loved this dress, how it fit, and the details on the back, it was very low in the front. I would not usually mind but it was a more conservative black tie wedding and I had to keep replenishing the tape I was using the close the front up a bit. Otherwise, it was a beautiful and sexy dress that fit like a glove. If you are on the shorter side, be sure to get VERY high heels, as the dress is pretty long.

I ended up wearing my back up instead of this. It was just too revealing, but oh so flattering. I just didn't' feel comfortable. Its an amazing dress though! Just completely beautiful!

very heavy and hot material, and a very open back

I ordered both the 40R and 42R, but I only received the 42R. It was too big all around and unable to wear. The dress is stunning and sexy in front (low cut) and back with all the twists. Make sure you don't size up when ordering and check the size as soon as it arrives. I was compensated for not being able to wear any of the three styles of dresses. RTR really aims to please and I've never encountered a more customer friendly and responsive company.

Dress: The dress fabric was stretchy and more sheer than expected- which made it almost cheap looking. The back was great- super elegant and sexy- but I was not impressed with the front- the dress had two unusual seams over the mid stomach region that I wasn't aware of. Fit: I am thinner , 5'1, 118lbs and A cups and this dress didn't make me look slim as black typically does. The dress also was way shorter than I expected- being 5'1 I usually wear 3-4 inch heels for formal events and the 4 inch was too much ankle for me. The stretch allowed me to fit in pretty easily, but as I said- I didn't look thin. Overall: I liked the dress, didn't love it, and wouldn't recommend it for super fancy black tie formal due to the fabric.

This dress was sleek and classy, but I was just a little too short for it so I didn't wear it.
