I wore this dress for the Black Tie Gala for my organization. As someone that needed to work that evening, I wanted something comfortable but, elegant. This dress was both. It's a very flowing dress so, if you have wider hips and a smaller upper half, this fits very well. I have a 29 inch waist and the 4 fit well. There was a little room but, nothing gaping. My only complaint was it sometimes felt a little more like a bridesmaid gown. Things to know: the lace area is an illusion so, your bare skin isn't exposed, the back does plunge so, some standard bras might show in the back. I went without and felt secure in the dress and I'm nearly 5'6 and I wore 2 1/2 inch heels and the 4R was the perfect length, I only caught myself once or twice.

I went with the 6L because I am 5'8" and wanted to wear heels. It was a little lose on top but not bad. So easy to dance in. Plenty of compliments. The slit up the side went to about mid to upper thigh

This dress was so great! There is a nude mesh under laying the lace so its not revealing but with the slit gives it that sexy edge. The back is low but a bra extender worked perfectly. I felt so great, got so many compliments, and told everyone about how great RtR is!

Wore this to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society gala & it was stunning! I unfortunately could not wear my spanx tho due to the very high slit. Other than that I felt glamorous!

I usually wear a size 12 day to day but in formal dresses I’m usually a 14 so I’d say it fit true to size. I’m 5’7 and the dress was just hitting the floor with flats on. The way the cuts are angled gives you a slimming effect, especially if you’re broad shouldered. This dress was super comfy and flattering and I got a lot of compliments!

Wore this to a gala while I was still hiding my pregnancy. The waist fit perfectly and I was still able to wear a bra with it. Received so many compliments.

I love this dress even more in person than I do in the photos. The color is gorgeous, and the detail is the right amount of classy with a little bit of sexiness to it. It was perfect for the Black tie optional wedding I was attending. I was getting compliments on the dress all night. It fit very well and was incredibly comfortable. The slit in the leg makes it great to dance in!

If you are usually a size four, I would get a size two.

Loved loved! It was great and perfect length for my height plus heels. Loved the fabric. I didn't read all the reviews but was surprise that there is a high slit on one side. Wasn't totally noticeable unless you are walking.

I normally fall between a 6 and an 8 depending on the dress and how tight it is around the hips. I fit well into the 6, juuust fix around my rib cage. Dress has a nice slit which makes sitting and dancing much easier. The back is very flattering and I felt great in it!

Minus the dresses arriving 24 hours late and my travel plans having to be changed as a result, I absolutely loved wearing this dress. I felt so beautiful all night and got so many compliments. It was a little big in the chest area, but I am not gifted in that sense anyway. This dress was also extremely long, even with 3 inch heels I still had to use the temporary hem tape to make the dress shorter. The slit up the side did help some walking but I still had to watch my step and hold the dress up most of the night. The 4 I ordered wasn't available when the order shipped, I am curious to see how that one would have fit but the 6 did the job. I do appreciate RTR sending me another dress when the other one wasn't available to be shipped. However, I wish they had sent the order a little sooner. There was no way the order was going to get to me when they shipped it late the night before I was supposed to receive it:/

Rented for a Christmas wedding and it couldn't have been more perfect. Based on previous reviews saying it ran slightly bigger, my backup size was a size smaller than my normal size. Thank goodness I did because the size 2R fit perfect. The 4R would have worked but was a little loose in the waist and bust. Also, didn't have to wear a bra, which is always a plus in my book. Would highly recommend.

Fit was true to size but for a petite size still long... need to wear taller heels. Sheer at the top is not see through, and you can wear regular bra. Absolutely loved this dress!!

This was actually my back up dress. I had trouble deciding between the two. I loved the dress and wanted to keep it! My date loved it and I received many compliments.

Fit my figure well with the fitted waist line. Had some wiggle room in the chest and shoulders but overall super comfy.

Loved this dress! It was perfect for a winter wedding. The slit keeps it young and sexy without being vulgar. Likewise with the lace, it’s so pretty but not see-through. I got so many compliments! But more importantly it was really comfortable. The design of the shoulders comes in on the back so no matter how you move you don’t need to worry about it slipping on your shoulder. The back is too low for a regular bra but there is a little something built in on the front and the dress itself was surprisingly supportive. I was 100% happy with this choice!

I needed a dress for a black tie optional wedding and this worked perfectly. Getting the zipper over the part where the ribbon runs around the ribs was a bit tough, but it fit like a glove. It was comfortable to sit and light enough to dance in and the slit gave just enough fun to the dress without having to worry. I wore 3" heels and the dress went right to the floor. I got compliments all night and felt great in it. Would totally recommend.

I chose this as my backup dress and ended up loving it. It was really comfortable and light - I danced all night long in it and got so many compliments. I am 5'4 and with 2.75 inch heels, it was a perfect length. The only minor problem was that the zipper was a little difficult to get up.

This dress fit perfectly and was super comfy! I got a lot of compliments and even though there is a lace/mesh part of the top it didn't feel super revealing Would recommend and would definitely rent again!!

This is my fourth time using RTR and as usual I was happy with the quality and the dress I had rented. This dress was super comfortable to wear. I received endless compliments the entire night. It was a little bit long, but I already had anticipated that ( I'm 5'4). I just wore a taller heel and it was fine. I also was pleasantly surprised by the thigh slit. The 2R fit perfectly, but it was a little bit big in my chest (I'm only a 32C). However, it was only noticeable to me (I have that problem a lot), so no big deal. I felt amazing and I would highly recommend this dress!

Wore to a military ball. Very flattering! Wore with 4 inch heels (I am 5 feet 5 in) and it was skimming the floor. Nevertheless, great dress.

This was perfect for a late September wedding- it's long but the slit helps keep you nice and cool. I will say- if you're going to wear spanx, make sure your shorts are short! Mine were too long and would show when I walked if I didn't pull the leg up!! I also only needed a little kitten heel so the dress didn't drag. Loved this dress- sexy but felt completely covered and comfortable in the church service.

This dress was awesome, very comfortable and I felt stylish. The slit goes mid-thigh, it is not revealing but give a floaty appearance as you walk. The top appears much more revealing that it actually is, as there is a nude, semi-sheer underlay that makes the dress more modest than it initially looks. I was able to wear a regular, nude bra with this dress, so it is a giant plus. The dress was very forgiving of s 5-month postpartum body, accent the natural waist and a line skirt. I typically struggle with dress length in non-petite lengths but the dress was not overly long. I wore the dress with modest 2-inch heel and I had no issues with dragging or tripping over excess length. Overall, such a big fan and I was sad to send it back!

I'd never used RTR before this event and I am so glad I did! The dresses arrived on time and the notifications were appreciated when it was on the way to help prevent anxiety about not receiving it. Both dresses were great, they fit really well and the quality was spot on. I've already recommended to a friend!

Went to a wedding, bride wanted black tie optional but requested long gowns...this was perfect! I have a small chest and it gaped a bit but only an issue when sitting and I was mostly standing. I wear either a 6 or 4 and 4 fit much better especially with length (wore 1.5 inch heel)

This dress is very unique and the color is great. The 8R fit great, but the waistband was a little tight when I was sitting down and left a wrinkle in the ribbon. I was able to wear a normal bra and was pretty comfortable all night. The slit is a great bonus detail! I loved it and felt glamorous all night at a black tie wedding.

Runs a little small, so if you're between sizes, size up. I'm nearly 5'8" and the regular length worked for me even with a 3.5" heel. The mesh part isn't very see through so you don't feel like you're giving it away! It's a head turner though. So many compliments! Highly recommend this dress.

I am always between sizes so I decided to grab my true size 10 and a larger size 12. While the 10 fit, the 12 was more comfortable (but a bit big in the busy area- while the 10 was too tighter where the band under the bust area is). The dress was perfect for a summer wedding. It was flowy and comfortable and I received so many compliments. The material is one that doesn't wrinkle so that was a huge plus for me. I'm 5'7 and with flats on it was the perfect length.

I wore this to my husband's military ball, and I was so nervous about finding a dress that fit as I am nursing my newborn daughter...this dress was so perfect for my larger chest, and provided enough support that I was able to wear it without a bra and add my nursing pads! I also ordered the 12 and Im glad I sized up as it fit everywhere except the chest. The 14 might have worked but it wasn't in stock so I went with the 16. I got so many compliments on this, and in a smaller town where everyone wears the same dress because they all have to go to the same store, it was nice to have a unique dress that I knew no one else would be wearing. I highly recommend this! It doesn't show any of your flaws, is very flowing while still being flattering, and is very comfortable - you don't have to worry about popping out and can dance the night away! :)

The design and color of this dress are just breathtaking. It falls so nicely, it is elegant and sexy at the same time. I felt amazing in it and got a lot of compliments all night. Perfect for a formal affair or wedding. Didn't need a bra. I guess it is a little long, but I wore 3inch heels and it was no problem.

I love this feminine dress by Adrianna Papell! Running true to size with some stretch, I recommend wearing a size up for your primary size and going up for your back-up. This style is fitted throughout the midsection and loose at the hips. It works for all cup sizes. You are able to wear a standard bra with this gown. At 5'7", the length hit floor length on me. The color and detailing on this dress are lovely and I felt beautiful wearing it. Pear with a neutral heel and simple earrings to complete your outfit!

I wore this dress to a black-tie gala for my work. I got so many compliments on the color of my dress, and the empire waist was so flattering. I was also so comfortable and didn't need to wear Spanx to hold anything in. I did have to wear a bra cups with adhesive, as a regular bra or strapless will NOT work with this dress.

True to size and perfect for a curvy woman! I was so worried about the 16 not fitting me. If you're around 5"4 and plan on wearing four inch or higher heels definitely go with the long!! Only downside was color matching to my boyfriend's tie and suspenders. Dress looks beautiful with silver accents.
