The dress was super comfortable since it was loose fitting but it still had a nice curve around the hips. The dress was also not very short; it came down to about mid-thigh on me.

This was my first RTR experience, and I will be back for sure! I needed a dress for my hubby's work party which was a black and white masquerade theme. This dress worked perfectly! Everyone loved the cape! It was comfortable, and bonus...it's winter in the NW and the material is thick and kept me nice and warm. I've gained a little weight lately, and this dress made me feel pretty, comfortable, and relaxed.

I wore this to the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Ball. The colors were pink and black and this dress was amazing. I wear a 16 and the 16 W was big but not crazy big. The cape was the perfect touch!! I absolutely loved it.

I wore this dress to a southern winter wedding. I didn't wear a coat and the cape kept me warm all night. A lot of people really, really liked this dress and I received many compliments on it. My only con was that it was a little heavy on the shoulders, but other than that it's pretty much perfect.

This dress was a little big for me, I suppose because I usually wear a size 14 and this was a 14W. It didn't look too big because the cape hid that fact, but it felt a little large. I loved the dress and was very comfortable. I didn't even wear any spanx underneath! I wore it to an American Cancer Society black and white gala and with the pink inside the cape, it was really fun. I would definitely order this again.

Again, another amazing, easy to wear dress from Adrianna Papell!! The cape drew tons of compliments and the sheath dress underneath ease constructed so that a lot of bumps and lumps are hidden. Decided to pair with black legging because the dress tends to want to be a belt when you sit down.

Wore for my welcome dinner night before my wedding. Thick fabric, but lightweight and super fun.

Pro's: very comfortable and forgiving. The materal was soft and flowing. No need for spanx! Con's: NONE!!!

Was surprised that it seemed to run a little large. It might be because of the W - after the sizing. I was expecting a traditional size 16 that you'd find in any US department store, as such I ordered the 18W as my back-up size.

As a plus size lady carrying extra weight in the front and back this cape camouflaged my fluffiness perfectly. I sized up so that my fluffy rolls weren't so much on display and because this dress is pretty short on me (I'm 5'11"). You can see I had to yank it down for this picture! I pretty much stole the show at this wedding. I have also rented this dress in two other colors I love it so much. It's a nice thick fabric so it lays well. Rent this immediately.

Loved this dress! So many compliments and so much fun! The dress runs a little large. I ordered the 14 and 16, and definitely went with the 14, which still had room to spare. It's a relatively thick material, so it's a bit forgiving of line (meaning you don't have to wear spanx). The cape was so fun to wear. You will have a blast in this dress!

I wore this dress to a gala dinner for my work. You know that feeling where it seems like everyone is staring at you? Well everyone was definitely staring at me and I felt GREAT about it! I took a fashion risk by renting this dress and it definitely paid off. It was perfect for March in Chicago- I was comfortable all night in a room where most people were chilly. I would imagine this dress would be too heavy to wear in warmer weather unless you really enjoy sweating. The dress did run quite large- I'd recommend sizing down. At first, I wasn't sure I'd be able to wear it because it was hanging really loose. I ended up putting a belt on and gathering the extra fabric in the back. The cape hid my "alterations" perfectly and I felt gorgeous. This dress is sexy without being revealing- perfect for a classy night out.

I rented this dress for a NYE formal party. The dress had a lot of structure and thickness to it. I was able to wear it out with no jacket on a snowy winter night and I stayed reasonably warm. My favorite part of the dress was that it hid my upper arms well when I wanted it to. It also had snaps in the shoulder to hold my bra straps in place as the larger size dresses usually have a wider neck line. I wish I had a size smaller but the dress worked fine regardless. I wore high knee boots and black stockings. I received a lot of complements!

I received sizes 18 and 20 and the 18 fit me best. it was surprisingly loose on top but I figured it was because of having a smaller chest. Other than that it fit amazing!

showstopper for a global carnival themed gala (black -tie optional). This dress is super comfortable. True to size. I normally wear a 16 but the 14W dress was comfortable and a good fit. A little straight and loose at the waist but I added a belt for shape. The cape does not go all the way around. It's more like two separate capes but it adds to the comfort. I am busty and have curvy hips and the 14W was a good choice (even though it was my back up size).

Dress was good quality and made me feel fabulous! Should of went a size down because this dress was too big on me. The cape was icing on the cake. Kept warm with no worry on a shawl or jacket. The pop of pink was just right. Will definitely rent again!

I wanted to find something new to an event I was planning at Gramercy Park Hotel. I wanted something fun and colorful without being flashy because I was working. This dress fit the bill. I would have never tried it if the RTR stylist didn't suggest it. It was so cool and unexpected. I received a ton of compliments from guests but I also didn't feel over dress. It was also incredibly comfortable. I felt let a chic super hero. Give the dress a shot even if you are not into capes.

This is a replacement dress and feel so happy the first dress didn't fit! It was a last minute exchange and delivery was seamless as usual! This was my first time wearing Adrianna Papell; this dress is unique and very flattering. It was the talk of my class union and very comfortable. Easy to zip up alone. The dress is well-cut for a fuller figure. I am 5" 8" 180 and a 34 G and the 14w still had a little room. It was comfortable and easy to wear and I felt elegant in it. The pink inside the cape makes it exciting. I loved it so much I bought the dress(but in all black so I can keep wearing it). It's a modest cut but still felt very attractive.

I'm usually a size 12 but decided to go up a size due to past experiences w RTR dresses to snug. However this dress is true to size. It was a little big for me but because oa the cape you couldn't notice. The dress is very flattering and the hot pink inside the cape was a hit. Only negative was during the reception, dancing the cape felt heavy and in the way while dancing. I wished it could of been removed, but other than that it was a beautiful unique dress.

This dress was incredible. I felt amazing in it and I had multiple strangers stop me to tell me how beautiful it was. The pink underneath the cape was the perfect amount of color to set it apart from all the other black dresses. The cape was perfect. It kept the impression of a sleeveless sheath dress while covering up my flabby upper arms. The cape also hides a less than perfect silhouette from the back and sides which is great for someone like me who is bottom heavy. In spite of reviews of similar dresses, I was still scared of getting a dress that was too small so I ordered my size and one up. I regretted it and almost called to see if I could get a smaller size. I decided to go ahead and go with it though since it fit ok on the bottom and was just too big on top and the cape helped to hide that. About the only thing this cape won't do is keep you warm unless you lift the bottom up and pull it around you. I wore this dress for a six hour long party and it was comfortable the entire time. I was kinda sad to take it off at the end of the night.

I find most Adrianna Papell dresses run large but this one fit perfectly! Best of all it fit my 36G Bust. I wore it for a "street style" photo shoot and also styled different to a networking reception with female members of Congress and I got non-stop compliments. It was so much fun to wear. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Classic black sheath, but with a CAPE! It's flattering, unique, and dramatic. I loved this dress. I wanted to wear it forever! I paired it with opaque tights because it was a freezing cold February night. I got so many compliments on this dress. I felt like a million bucks. The cut is flattering, especially on an hourglass figure.

This was my first time to try RTR and I will defiinitely do this again!! I had a huge formal event to attend and I wanted something special that would be comfortable but stand out. This dress really fit the bill! I especially love the built-in "cape" that kept me from freezing in the banquet hall, which is usually a problem. This dress fit perfectly - not tight or uncomfortable - and was just the right length for my 5' 4.5" height. I attend lots of events as part of my job and I intend to make RTR my regular "go-to" solution for the "what will I wear" question that always plagues me. My favorite part is that I ordered two sizes and the smaller of the two fit with room to spare. 😊

This was a really great choice for a January black tie gala. I wanted something I wouldn't have to fuss with being too low cut or too short and this was it. I got lots of compliments on it -- it was simple, yet really stood out among a bunch of more traditional gowns. It also photographed well since it wasn't reflective or shiny. I liked that it was basically a funky little black dress, because it's a base to build on. One of the reasons I chose it was because I knew I could wear a normal bra. The actual dress part does kind of rely on your own body shape for definition rather than serving to create an illusion, so if you're looking for something to disguise too many or too few curves, you might not enjoy this. It was nice to try a high neckline with some stretch, because having a 38HH (UK) bust line can be tricky. The cape was also great for warmth and coverage without dealing with coat check. I ended up wearing the 20W (my backup size) but I believe I could have worn a 16 or 18 -- I'm not used to dresses running true to size, and this one does have some wiggle room to it. Overall, definitely a great, comfortable choice without sacrificing any style.

the 16W fit fine but I probably could have gotten away with the 14W. The cape was an amazing feature, was a little warm because of the fabric, but it breathes. The dress stopped just above my knees. Really easy to dress this up for black tie or dress down for any kind of party that is fancier than casual. I wish I had bought this dress, it was so much fun! I could only list my bust size as big as a 38, but closer to 40 or 42.

What a fun outfit for a whimsical place such as the Magic Castle! Friends and I went for dinner and shows and the venue requires one to dress cocktail at MINIMUM. Loved being able to swirl about the place as those hiding my own magic secrets. The sheath dress was flattering but slightly more snug in the tummy that I had wanted, even with shapewear. Also, given that I'm only 5'3'', the cape went farther down on my body that the model and probably other more taller wearers of the dress. Such a fun outfit to step out of the box but still look incredibly glamorous.
