Great dress. Didn't have to wear spanx and wore a regular bra (I'm a DD). Flattering fit. Very unique. A classic silhouette for any body type. Highly recommend!

This. Dress. One of my favorite rentals of all time! I am OBSESSED with this cape. It was cut in the back which I was unsure about, but it worked well. There is enough fabric that you can't tell , and the cut kept me from feeling restricted. The rest of the dress was beautiful too. I'd size up just because the skirt does sit tight on the hips, and sizing up gives you a little extra room. It's all a very pretty navy, so it's the perfect canvas for fun accessories! At 5'9", the length was great, though I did have to tug the hem back down throughout the night. If you're considering this dress, rent it. You won't regret it! And to Adrianna Papell, PLEASE give us more dresses in this size range! I want to rent them all!

This dress was a simple sheath with wide neckline--fit perfectly (needed help getting the back up). And the cape attached really helped hide any bumps while also showing off the better parts of your arms! Bought it.

The cape is amazing. It's super fun and classy at the same time. I have a decent post baby belly and wide hips. The dress was fitted enough to be slimming but not tight at all. The photo taken was after my spanx were off and I consumed a large amount of wedding buffet dinner! The dress is such a dark navy that I wore black sandals with it and no one could tell.

Ran a little small; I'm more like a 16-18 but they didn't have 18 so I ordered a 16 and a 20. The 16 was a bit clingy, the 20 a bit big but still looked great. Just so pretty and comfy too. Definitely going to use RTR again.

This dress was so great! The material is thick and stretchy, but not too hot. The cape is amazing and flows behind you when you're walking. I typically wear 14-16 in form fitted dresses and this was perfect. I want to buy it!! I got so many compliments all night, even being called a model at one point haha. Go for it!!

The fit was great, not quite body con and the fabric isn't clingy. I'm short and petite, so the dress hit just below the knee. I loved the dress and it was a lot of fun to dance in. The only suggestion is the dress can be warm, I don't recommend if its a warm climate or you dance real hard! Lots of compliments too!

Got this one as a back up dress for a party but ended up wearing my other choice. Decided to wear this to a less formal outing the night before the party because it was so pretty and felt so nice on! Great fit and very flattering.

I would order a size down - I'm normally a 12-14 and the 12 was a bit loose on me.

OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE I received so many compliments and I felt like a million bucks in this dress. I wore it to a Bay Area wedding. It was an outdoor evening event with an indoor reception. I am notorious for leaving my jackets at events and I am always cold. Volia! This dress is a win win. No need for a light jacket and you can't forget the cape! Seriously, I already bought this dress. I loved it that much. Pairs well with big hair and pearls.

Dress fit great! I usually need an 18W to accomodate my hips, but the 16 in this dress fit great. The weight of the dress was great for a winter party. I got compliments all night!

SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on this dress! Classic, simple and yet dramatic. So much fun to walk in as the cape flows nicely. Fabric is a little thick, which was perfect for a northern wedding after Thanksgiving. I'm pear shaped, so the only downside to this dress was that I need an 8 on top and a 10 on bottom. I had some major gaping at the arms but the fit at the hips was comfortable and not tight. Overall, a great rent!

I always look at everyone's pictures but never left a review. This dress was amazing! It runs a little bigger I think. I probably could have went down a size for a tighter fit but otherwise perfect!! The material has a lot of stretchy but is still thick! Everyone loved the cape and my husband was a little jealous I was a super hero without him. I would love to buy it but I know I would never wear it again.

This dress was a huge hit at my office Annual Awards Banquet! I got a ton of compliments, and everyone was asking me where I got this dress. It is a heavier material, so it was very comfortable in an overly air-conditioned banquet hall. There is some stretch to the material, so it was forgiving and easy to move around in. I ended up styling it with a belt and rose gold accessories, based on another photo I saw in the customer reviews. I'm between a 14 and 16 in most clothes, so I got both of those sizes and ended up wearing the 14 very comfortably. I would highly recommend getting out of your typical dress style and giving this cape a try!

I am still trying to lose baby weight and the Cape was great for concealing. I thought I would be wearing an 8 but was happily surprised to wear the 6. The midsection is very forgiving the fabric is very comfortable and stretchy. Got tons of compliments.

This is dress was my first choice and I couldn't be more pleased. Aside from the bride, I was the only one that "broke" the mold with this dress. The material is very breathable and made me feel very comfortable on a summer Saturday in July, and even though I was hesitate at first to go and use Rent the Runway, this will definitely be my go to place for my next event which is soon approaching. I strongly recommend it and can't say enough good things about the entire experience.

Absolutely loved this dress and got so many compliments - the cape is divine and so unique. Didn't need spanx with the 18W, I could've worn the 16W but didn't want my tummy showing as much (honestly I'd be a 17W if they made it). The material is heavy enough so that it's forgiving without being too bulky. Regular bra didn't show at the shoulders or through the material. The length was perfect, right at the knee and didn't ride up or lay too low. Necklace was RTR as well - loved this outfit. First experience with RTR was amazing!

I have rented several dresses from RTR and this has got to be MY FAVORITE! It's a classic piece that makes a statement. I wore this dress for a cocktail/dinner event and was so super comfortable. Having recently had a baby and not lost pregnancy weight, I felt so beautiful, confident and badass in this dress! I recommend this dress to ALL! This dress was absolutely perfect. I attended a Derby party and rain was in the forecast plus it was on the river, so a little breezy. The cape was just perfect to keep me warm, but allowed movement and was breathable. The dress fit very nicely, 14w, I would have maybe liked it as just 14 or 12w (not an option though). The length was nice and was overall a classy dress for the event. I would buy this if I could!

I could not have loved this dress more! It fit like a glove, was of extremely high quality, and as a bonus it kept me warm at a chilly spring wedding. I received SO many compliments, I didn't know what to do with myself! It's been several days since the wedding and I'm still getting messages telling me that I'm a style icon, hah! I had to order the only size left 14w. I’ve never had a size 14 dress so I decided to belt it to defuse the waist. That was a great idea. Shipping was great and the dress was clean. I love RTR and it’s the only way to go for unique looks that don’t break the bank! I would totally wear this dress again!

Easy to dance in! Only issue was the lining on the right shoulder needed to be pinned down.

The Fit: This dress has a little bit of stretch to it, so while I was afraid a 12 might be too small for me, it fit really nicely! It runs a little bit large. Pros: This dress is incredibly comfortable. I wore it around NYC for 7 hours and never felt like I couldn't move naturally. Cons: It is a little bit short when you sit down, but I used the cape to cover my legs.

This dress was easy to accessorise, easy to wear, fit super well, but also was STUNNING. I got so many compliments. This is formal, but unique. I'm VERY pear shaped and usually have issues with fitted dresses fitting me in the hips but too small in the bust, and this was not the case for this dress.

The dress fit perfectly- could've even fit a 6 if I had ordered it. But since I'm so used to juniors sizes I ordered up. I have a bit of a belly still that I can't seem to shake, and this dress helped hide it so well! The dress was perfect. I wasn't sure that a sheath dress was going to look good on me because my lower stomach area is my biggest issue, luckily I took a chance. I felt AMAZING in this dress. Super comfy and very stretchy. I probably could have sized down but I think I would have felt self conscious about my stomach area. Dress was in perfect condition, no issues with the zipper or wrinkles or weird smells. This was my first rental and I'll DEFINITELY be renting again. I got compliments the entire night. I loved every second.

The size I needed was unavailable so out of desperation, I sized up. It was loose on me but what saved it was the fact that there are snaps at the shoulders so you can attach it to a bra and not keep tugging at your neckline all night. the fabric is heavy and the cape makes you feel covered, so for my winter event I felt very comfortable. The style is classic, perfect for work. If styled wrong, it could come across as matronly or mother-of-the-bride so I added yellow accessories to make it feel a little more youthful. The dress has stretch so the size is forgiving. If I had been wearing the correct size, my problem area tummy still would have been covered. I am 5'2", 148 lbs and it hit me right at the knee. I wore a 14 but should have worn the 10 or 12.

Didn't want to give this gem back! Gorgeous. Sophisticated, timeless, comfortable, flattering. Runs slightly small. Made very well. It was perfect for the holiday party I attended but could see it for any cocktail setting. Rent it! You won't be sorry.
