I was very pleased at the way this dress flattered my figure. Dress was for a photo shoot.

This is by far my favorite dress to wear to a wedding! I have rented it twice now within a 12 month period, once in Black and once in Navy. The time I wore the Black, I wore a 20 W. I could have worn an 18W, but the 20 W was more roomy in my arms and chest. When I wore the Navy in 18W, it fit very comfortably. I could have maybe gone down to a 16W, but I think it would have been too short. In all, I'd say this is true to size. (I am 5'8", full chest, 260 lbs) The fabric is comfortable. A bit on the heavy side for lace, but not overwhelmingly warm. I wore these for October weddings, one inside and one outside. The full length zipper on the back is a fun detail that adds a little something to the style. I wore basic jewelry both times, but feel like the dress can be done up with many different types of accessories. I would 100% recommend this dress as I would rent it again (and again and again).

The dress I originally ordered never came due to someone not returning it. I was a bit upset as I loved my original dress, but this dress arrived in its place and I ended up loving it more than the dress I had planned on wearing! So flattering and was very comfortable to wear! I believe it's between true to size and runs large but it's perfect if you need room to hide the tummy! I'd definitely rent this dress again! I loved it!!!

I was a bit skeptical of the fit as I typically try to hide my curves and "Mommy-Tummy" with A-Line styles. I'm SO glad I took a chance and wore this dress. With some Spanx underneath it was perfect. The sheer lace 3/4 sleeves were perfect and the length was great as well. I paired it with nude heels and a few simple accessories. The lace was gorgeous and I felt fabulous! I was sad to return it! It ran 100% true to size which was great peace of mind too!

I have gained a fair amount of weight over the last few years, leaving my formal wear, unwearable. In comes RTR with this gorgeous sheath dress. The sleeves kept me warm and made my arms look slimmer. I was worried about the sleeves fitting, but they fit great! The length was good for me (I'm 5'4") and hit just below the knee. It was a great rich navy color and I liked the boat neck. Very comfy!

This was my "second pick" and it quickly became my "first pick." I dressed it up with a gold bib necklace and some glittery heels. It was perfect for dancing! No pulling, tugging, or rearranging needed! Absolutely perfect dress!

This dress is the perfect length and cut to feel glamorous and classy. Not too short or low cut. Love the zipper up the back and lace sleeves.

I was looking for a dress for my sisters wedding that was beautiful yet would allow me to dance and run around with my pre-schooler. This dress did not disappoint! Soft, comfortable, beautiful neckline and hit me just below the knee. I hate to return this dress! It was a little big, and I wish the smaller size had been available but the larger size made it so much easier to drop it low on the dance floor!

I chose this dress last minute, because I had rented the same dress in a different color and loved it. I was comfortable and even though I would consider this a pretty basic (borderline boring) dress I got plenty of compliments! It is perfect for cooler weather, but not so heavy that it would be a problem with milder weather. Even several months postpartum after having twins, this dress was flattering! If you have weight around your midsection, this dress is flattering.

I received many compliments on this dress! The fit was very comfortable, and even was a little roomy. I'm 5'2" and the length fit me properly as well, which is often an issue for me. The fabric quality was great and I didn't find any snags in the lace. I would recommend this dress and would rent another Adriana Papell dress in the future!

I loved this dress. I wore this for a rehearsal dinner and wedding after party. It is so versatile. You can dress it up or down. It hits just at the knee. It is not too tight anywhere. If anything, runs a little large but that's good because when you sit down it is not suffocating you. The sleeves are rooming without looking big and it can be worn with a normal bra and underwear or spanx if you need them. The picture is dark so the dress looks black but I am wearing the Navy blue one. The fabric is nice and thick and the dress is well made. You can wear nude pumps or sparkly pumps and dress it up or down with jewelry. I might have to buy it. It is an essential piece in any wardrobe.

This is the second time I have worn this gorgeous lace dress. It fit my pear shape so well....so slimming. So many compliments. I have been considering just buying this one!

Bridal shower wear

I usually don't like fitted dresses, but this one was was flattering! You can wear a regular bra with this dress which is a huge win in my book! Also, the way the lining of the dress is, it can catch on the back with the zipper all the way at the bottom. I wore Spanx with it and that helped solve the problem. Highly recommend the dress!

The dress is true to W sizes. However, if you wear regular 14, you may want to go down a size. The dress was well made and was very comfortable. I got a lot of compliments. I highly recommend!

Very comfortable and flattering. Dress does run large and I could have worn a size 12, but I wore a little belt with it and it worked. Nice that you don't need a special bra to wear with it. Can accessorize in a million different ways. Great fit!

I have no picture of when I tried it on, however I will note that the neckline on this does not allow for a traditional bra to be worn, and it was a bit loose in my waist area. For these reasons I did not end up wearing the dress to the event I had gotten it for.

Dress was more off the shoulder than I thought. Didn't like the low back so I wore something else. Bummed as I've had good luck with RTR in the past.

Dress was fitted but very flattering due to thicker material that provided nice coverage, also has some stretch to it which made it very comfortable.

This dress was perfect! The size was right on the money - well fitted but not snug. Neckline was excellent - it showed off my pearls. Could not have been happier with my choice!

I wore this dress for a work Gala for a client. It was the perfect combination of fashionable while still being modest for work. The sleeves were perfect for the crisp fall night in New York, and the zipper was a cute detail that made the dress feel a little more playful/sexy while still being appropriate. I felt and looked great and would absolutely rent this again if I had an occasion for it!

The dress was classy without being dowdy. I had to attend an event with a friend where the crowd was significantly older than my date and I. I felt that I fit in without looking decades older than I am. Double bonus points for the fact that the lace sleeves weren't itchy!

I have a large bust and am self conscious about my stomach. While this dress is kind of form fitting, there is some give to it... it hid my problem areas while still giving me some shape. I loved this dress!

This dress was great, people told me I need to buy this dress. The sleeves and length were spot on and the details were great. It was a thick dress but didn't feel heavy. It ran a little large but better than it running too small :) I'd rent this one again!
