I've never gotten a dress from RTR before but I tried it as the brides dress was also from RTR in this picture. We both loved our dresses for the rehearsal dinner! They looked amazing for pictures and fit beautifully. I usually wear an 18-20 but I got an 18 and there was enough room without issues. I only wish I had thought to get a belt with it but otherwise loved it!

It was so pretty! Very flattering---the ribbon belt made it great to make the dress kind of empire-y style and define my waist. Great length--just barely above knee. Kind of a little warm--I wore this to a party in June and was only slightly hot. Would be great for fall. The V-neck was also flattering. All in all, I loved it.

This dress was great! It runs a bit big through the chest and shoulders. I was glad to have rented the 16 and the 14 because the 14 fit perfectly! I felt pretty and I would rent this again! One should wear a strapless bra, though, because your bra straps will show on your shoulders.

Dress runs large. I went one size down but should have been two. It's particularly large in the bust area. The color in the ad picture looks lighter than it really is. Overall, it is very lightweight, comfortable and elegant. I'm one satisfied customer.

This dress runs large! I wore the 14 but probably could have gone down a size. This dress is very comfy and is a nice conservative look. It was perfect to wear to a wedding for one of my husband's employees. I got lots of compliments in this dress.

The sash was included, which I hadn't expected based on other reviews. It probably runs a little but big, but just slightly. Very flattering and comfortable to wear all night.

Wore this lovely frock to a bridal tea party. I typically wear a 14 in dresses (5ft3, 38b). I was surprised to be swimming in this dress!! If I rent this dress again (it's that cute and comfy) id size down. needless to say the dress is very forgiving in the tummy area and in arms. a strapless bra is needed. I 100% recommend this dress.

This was the perfect dress for my work Holiday party.

It was a little big in the top, so I wish that it had been available in a 12, which is more my true size. However, the fit of it made it able to wear even with it a little big. I got lots of compliments!

This style runs a little larger, even with the belt. The lace is soft and comfortable. The color is great and much more striking in person! You'll definitely stand out in this style! The length is a little longer in person, so shorter women should beware of that. There is plenty of room in the bust, but it's a great style for full busted ladies. I do suggest wearing a strapless bra, though.The mesh at the bottom is a fun touch, too! I think this is a really great style!

I really liked the cut of this dress. I have an extreme hourglass shape due to my extra weight. So, dresses with gathering hide stuff but also makes me look even larger. I felt comfortable and pretty in this dress. The only thing I didn't like us that my hair got stuck in the buttons on the back of the dress. Oh, and if you don't have someone to button the top as your getting dressed, it may be complicated.

Overall it is a pretty dress. The belt didn't come in with it, so that was disappointing. It was a little long for my liking, and I am pretty tall! I felt comfortable in the dress and was able to dance all night!

I've gained a lot of weight lately and have been having trouble finding a dress for nice occasions that fit me nicely. This dress was great! I normally wear between a 14 or 16, however the 14w of this dress fit like a glove! Not too tight, just right... the length was perfect and coverage on top as well. I felt beautiful and comfortable the entire night. The fabric is a little thicker/heavier than it looks in the picture, but I was comfortable most of the evening. I wore it to an outdoor wedding that also had cocktail outside, and I was mostly comfortable in the Florida 90degree heat and humidity. If you plan on wearing it to an indoor event, i wouldn't even worry about it. Great dress, definitely recommend! :)

This dress is incredibly flattering - I styled with navy wedges, simple gold pendant and bright pink lip. To be honest, it looks much better in photos than in person. The fabric comes off more home spun than elegant, but in photos it is a knock out! It was comfortable and ran a bit big. One of the sizes I got had a sash, the other did not. I thought it looked much better with the sash. I wore a nude bra underneath and didn't think too much about whether or not my bra straps were visible - they certainly aren't noticeable in photos.

This dress makes you feel Like a model ! And you don't have to be a size 2 !!! really comfortable dress, you do need a strapless bra if you do not want bra straps showing. Plus size and wearing a sexy lace dress !! I had to steam the ribbon tie as I like it neat. One size had the tie one did not . Dress does run big I could have wore the 16 but I did not order as I was afraid it wound not fit. Love the dress

I have recently lost a lot of weight and wasn't sure what size I would need. I requested the 16 and 18 but ended up wearing the 16. I have worn an Adrienne Pappell dress previously (size 22) and loved the fit. This dress did not disappoint. NOTE: The lace top section is sheer, so you'll need a strapless bra or clear straps. I opted for clear. The length was perfect. I am 5'2" and wanted something that covered my fat knees. Also, some of the other pics from others who wore the dress show some sort of belt or tie. I thought that was cute and planned to do the same thing, but once I tried the dress on, the waist doesn't sit AT your waist. It's actually about mid point between your waist and boobs, Sotheby's women that wore the belt must be very short waisted. I'm not very tall, but a belt would not have worked for me.

This dress is great. It's a nice weight and great quality overall. I chose not to use the belt because I didn't want to have to worry about perfecting a bow, but the dress looked great without it. The cut was great for my shape and fit so well that I didn't even need to wear spanx! I have larger arms and a full bust and there were no fit issues.

This dress was simple and elegant without being matronly. It was perfect for the wedding that we attended. I got the 14 and 16 and didn't even try the 16 because the 14 fit well. I did prefer the sash that came with the 16 - it was thicker and looked better so I used that instead. The dress does run big in the chest. I am pretty large and that area was almost too loose but it was so comfortable that I didn't mind. I agree that it looks better with a strapless bra.

I recieved many compliments on this dress all night. I am usually between a size 18 and a size 20 and ended up wearing the smaller size as it does run a little big. The length was perfect for me, but if you are on the shorter side this dress will probably be longer than you would like. I could wear a regular nude bra and did not have to worry about spilling out or being covered up.

Although they forgot to include the belt with my order, I had one that worked well - so crisis averted! Customer service was also great when I emailed them about this. The dress was gorgeous. I was reading at a wedding and felt STUNNING. I've never received so many compliments before! Fit was on the larger side - I read the reviews, and still ordered a size up as my extra size instead of a size down. I think most of us plus size girls are always terrified it won't fit. But - truly - order a size down for your second size! I wore the 18 and it fit beautifully. Could have worn a 16 probably if I wanted a slimmer look, but I loved the way it laid and flattered. I felt sophisticated and glamorous. It's more beautiful on than in the pictures. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Runs small, which I knew from previous reviews so if you plan accordingly, it fits great.

Such a great dress. Like other have mentioned- it runs BIG. I did have to steam the netting at the bottom to get it to lay flat (you can see in other review pics that the very bottom is often flipped up). Mine also didn't come with the belt ribbon but I called RTR and they ended up sending me one which I thought made a big difference in the look of the dress. This dress was so comfortable. I love that the nude lining is sewn to the dress so you don't have to worry about it riding up.

Bust waa a tad large on me but overall fit veey well. May have been able to wear a size smaller.

I rented this for a February wedding when I was 5.5 months pregnant. I wanted something long sleeve with some room in the belly area. This dress was perfect! Gorgeous color and lace - looks way more expensive than the rental price. I received tons of compliments. It was also not too low cut as I am large chested. Plenty of room for the bump, but would have been ideal for my body even if not pregnant. The only issue was the lace at the bottom is scratchy, especially while sitting at dinner! There's a netting on the bottom that rubs really uncomfortably. But it wasn't an issue while standing or dancing. I am 6'0" and this was a little short due to the sheer panel at the bottom, but the long sleeves offset the length for me. I would definitely rent this dress again!

Overall I loved this dress. It was very pretty and looked high quality. I felt comfortable in it, it fit perfectly, and I received several compliments on it. The cons... it arrived with a couple small holes in the lace, and the bottom trim was all rolled up and I noticed the thread was unraveling. I delicately tried to flatten it out so it would lay right, but I was afraid to touch it too much since the thread was coming undone. I am very short and this hit right at my knees which I like. Also, I normally wear a 22 in dresses, so I was very happy the 20 fit just right.

Wore this dress to a wedding and it was very comfortable and received lots of compliments! It looks better in pictures than in person and unfortunately came with a hole on the right sleeve and some strings hanging off the bottom but you luckily couldn't tell with the pattern. It definitely runs big though and could've worn a 14W if my backup size came.

Loved this dress! It ran a bit big, so I'm glad I got a size down for a back up! I'm usually an 18 and I wore the 16. I say this is the best plus size dress because it has sleeves, hits at the perfect place on my figure, and made me look amazing! I was also very comfortable, the inside fabric is very soft! The dress has been rented a lot and it didn't come with the ribbon, but it was great without it!

I was really excited about this dress but it was definitely too big and it did not come with the belt. I think the belt would have really pulled it together. Overall I was comfortable and got many compliments!

It fit great and was very flattering for my second baby post body! Little disappointed it didn't have the ribbon but it looked fine without it. It was a great length and didn't show too much cleavage. Many people said you had to go strapless, I didn't. I just wore a nude bra, you had to look closely to tell. I got many complaints on the dress.

This dress was, for better or worse, completely as-advertised. Very pretty navy cut-out pattern, thin belt at the natural waist, knee-length, etc. It did not turn out to be as flattering as I had hoped (not very form-fitting, a little baggy up top, very high, matronly neckline). Also, the bottom of the skirt features a strip of thick, wiry, see-through netting -- a detail that was impossible to see online and I was not a fan at all.

I was in a time crunch and was thankful I was able to find something. Having gained a good amount of weight I am trying not to purchase clothing at this size. The sales ladies were all amazing and it is the best help and service I have received in many years. They are all fashion forward and you can count on them telling you if something looks good or not.

This was the second dress that I rented in two weeks by this designer. It was so exceptionally comfortable. The dress was very flattering, The belt provided the look of more curves for me since I tend not to look curvy. Again I got tons of compliments on the dress. I would agree with other posters to either wear a strapless bra or a dark as to not be to obvious since it can be seen.

Loved this dress. I wore it with leggings and boots and dressed it down, perfect for my Birthday Date. However, I could easily see doing my hair fancy and slipping on a pair of heels and wearing it to a wedding. The lace had a very interesting texture that just made the look very cool. I thought it would show the "girls" a bit more. I was "blessed" up top and its hard NOT to show it. SO I was surprised at how it had an open low neck, yet it didn't show off the cleavage. (mixed feelings about that - lol)

definitely runs large. I am 220lb, 5'6" and normally wear a 18 in pants (pear shaped... only a 40 B/C on top). LOVED that this dress made me looks like I had a tiny waist and hid my problem area (tummy/muffin top) I expected to wear the 16 but tried the 14 on and it was plenty big (almost too big). I got a lot of compliments on the dress --- I was in the house party but the bride requested we wear blue (lace if possible, like bridesmaids). This was blue lace but set me apart bc of the different lining color. I felt beautiful, it was modest (you do need a strapless bra b/c even nude straps showed) and long enough (hit my knees) where I was able to dance all night without worrying about flashing anyone. HIGHLY recommend! (and this dress was delivered to a hotel b/c I ordered a bit late and still made it!) returning was easy.... even though I didnt want to! only wish that shipping costs were less!!!

The 16W was a little large. Could have gone with a 14W but not so big that it was noticeable. Came with a belt. One of the loops for the belt was ripped but also not noticeable. Paired with nude heels and Nicole Miller necklace and earrings. Would rent dress again.
