I ended up wearing this dress to TWO black tie weddings. Loved the fits, got tons of compliments, and felt super comfortable all night long. Also, RTR staff was super helpful doing some last minute switches for me.

This dress is so flattering if you have an hourglass figure. It is probably flattering on almost any body type too! I am a 36DD, I wear a 14/16 (misses) in pants, and a average 5'5''height at 196 lbs. I ordered the 14 since that is what I normally wear, but this dress runs in women sizes and I typically wear misses clothing. So, the 14 was a tad bit big on me, in the shoulders specifically. I could have ordered a 12 since it is a women's size. Either way it still look fabulous and everyone loved it! It is definitely for the girl who is more classic and elegant in taste. Highly recommend it!

I loved this dress. I had chosen another dress initially , that was an epic fail. I was leaving for NYC the next day and I spoke with a stylist who assured me that I could come into the showroom and get the dress I wanted. I waited a few hours, but the dress finally arrived at the showroom. it was worth the wait. It fit me like a glove and I felt stunning in it. I would definitely rent it again. I received so many compliments on it . I am so glad I chose this dress. I have major curves and the dress hugged my body in all the right places, I am super busty and the dress was perfect.... Extremely comfortable yet still elegant! I wore this for a formal wedding and it was perfect. There was ample room up top (my cup size is H). I am 5ft6 and wore flats. Be aware of the small train or it may get stepped on. I could have worn kitten heels and been okay on the length. Overall an excellent option for anyone looking for comfort and style all in one. Love it!!!!

I rented this dress to wear for a performance around the holidays where I was a soloist. It was so flattering and because of the gathering around the midsection, hid anything I didn't want to show. The most beautiful part was the top of the dress. The lace detail was so gorgeous and really jazzed it up! All around, just a classy classy dress. I wish it was in my closet forever!

I wore this dress for our family holiday portraits. I knew by the description and photos to expect a dark navy.. this was a lot darker than I thought it would be though. The overall fit was great but snug around the bust since I am very busty. I also wish I ordered the long size instead, the regular worked good with 3" heels but was too short for anything higher. Overall I am happy with how the dress photographed and how comfortable it was.

After speaking to a RTR stylist, I decided on this dress for a black tie gala. This dress was perfect! Not only did I feel so comfortable in the dress all night, but I received so many compliments on the dress. The navy color was a nice change to wearing black. I did feel like the sizing ran large and I could have worn a smaller size but that wasn't available. I felt beautiful and didn't want to send this dress back!! Thank you RTR!

The event I rented the dress for was a formal charity event, but for young professionals, so even though it was formal attire, it was a busy dance floor. This dress was so easy to dance in. This dress was true to fit, and very flattering, as other reviewers stated no spandex was necessary, the dress did a great job "hiding" the areas you want to hide! I will say it was a little "big" in the waist area (better than being too tight), so if you have a small waist I recommend going down a size, there is plenty of room in the bust and hips to do so. This was my first rent the runway experience and it wont be my last. very pleased!

I put that this dress runs true to size, but I think it does run just a bit large. I think it was just a little big in the waist area, but nothing that looked ridiculous and it was SO comfortable. They did not have my regular size in the R, so I had to go with the long which I didn't think would be too bad since I'm on the tall side and was wearing heels.. it was pretty long though. The regular would have been perfect. Overall, super happy with it. Super comfortable - no special bras or underwear needed. I got SO many compliments on it... love that it's navy and not black! Highly recommended!

If you are an hourglass this dress was made for you. The ruching hides imperfections you literally do not need spanx- yes really. This dress was so flattering and so comfortable. There is a fair amount of give in the hips/thighs area- it is really only structured in the top around the waist/arms. I loved this dress it was a great hit at the wedding I went to this past weekend.

Im large chested, smaller waist and hips. The dress fit perfectly in the chest, but way loose in the waist and hips... Very comfortable though. I received many compliments throughout the evening.

This was my first RTR experience and I was so happy with it! I had originally rented another dress that ended up not fitting me well at all. The stylist was helpful in making sure I had another dress sent overnight that would be appropriate for the formal wedding I was attending. This dress was so comfortable and flattering on my post-baby body. I got tons of compliments! I'm short (5'4") and the dress was a little long, but nothing ridiculous. It had a beautiful flow to it that made me feel very elegant.

Being large chested and wide hipped,I was skeptical about this rental! However it completely surprised me. The 16R fit but I went with the same I8 just to have a little more material to gather at my hips. I was worried about a bra for this dress as I didn't have a strapless. I considered taping but ended up just wearing a nude colored bra and you couldn't even see the straps! The dress was a hit- was comfortable to dance in- and I would def rent again as it was beautiful!

I rented this dress for a wedding I was part of. The bride asked all the bridesmaids to wear a navy long gown that flatters their figure. This dress was very forgiving around torso that I didn't have to wear any shaper. It has an elegant lace top that covers shoulder. Length was perfect, I am 5'3" and wore 2.5 inch heels. Nothing was dragging and I didn't trip myself up. Such an effortless and easy dress to wear all day and still looking good at the end of the day. Highly recommend and will rent again.

I read the reviews over and over, wracking my brain and worried over the fit. I am fortunate that reviewers are so honest and helpful here because I definitely listened to their advice that the dress tends to run large. I got the 16w and 18w, assuming I would wear the 18. Lo and behold, the 16 fit me perfectly! The 18 was just a bit loose on the top and I preferred the 16 that was more fitted. I received compliments all night and I can't wait for my next rental :)

This was my first dress to rent from rent the runway and I am officially HOOKED! Everything was perfect! I got my dress in time and it fit perfect. This dress is so forgiving and supper comfortable. I danced all night! The only thing I wish it that the dress was little longer.

The dress title stands true, "Like a Glove" cause that's exactly how it fit. The lace was soft and looked elegant, the rest of the material was slightly stretchy to show off my curves. The length was perfect. The previous reviews helped out immensely. Completely comfortable as I wore it the whole night.

I am 5'6. Bust 40DDD, waist 40 and hips/butt 54. I got the 22WL and it fit comfortably. I had the 20WR and while the fit was better, it was not long enough for me. The cap sleeve is great for camouflaging my "thigh" arm, as I call it. The color is not black, it is a navy blue (as seen in the second pic). If you are 5'5 and above I highly suggest getting the LONG. I wore 4 inch platform heels and the long was perfect. I tried the regular also but it was much too short with heels, even 3 inch heels. It does fit a teeny bit big, but only if you want a snug, form fitting fit. Overall this dress is SPECTACULAR and the mini train was the winner! The best part, you can wear a regular bra and no Spanx and be comfortable and look and feel great!

This dress fit like a DREAM. I've never worn a dress that highlighted my curves so well, while also hiding my flaws. Another reviewer noted that you don't even have to wear Spanx-- I didn't believe her, but she was right! It made for such a comfy day! I'm 5'8" and ordered a regular length, but probably should have gone for the tall with my three inch heels. It was fine though-- just showed off the shoes a little more. (Ignore the ugly, ugly shoes that I'm wearing in this picture. I had on gorgeous heels for most of the day/night, but threw on some jazz slippers for dancing.)

Perfect dress! Form fitting and a true deep navy. Wore approximately 3/4 heel and length was fine. Be wary of anything taller. Easy to dance in and move in as well as super elegant

This dress was truly perfection! It fit true to size. although the 16 would have zipped, the 18 was more comfortable. The lace on top was absolutely gorgeous, very classy and sexy. I'm very busty and felt covered up. The drape of the dress is great for all body types. The color is darker than in this picture, definitely navy, but dark.

I absolutely loved this dress. I ordered another dress for this wedding and hated it! The team at RTR were wonderful in overnighting this dress to me for only an addition $12.95. They only had a Petite available in my size. I'm 5'4" and with a low wedge, it felt a little bit short but I did love the way the dress fit. No spanx necessary as the dress has beautiful draping. I'd highly recommend this dress!

The dress is a gorgeous navy and the material is stretchy and comfortable and the draping does wonders . Very good for curves . I wore the petite since I'm short and didn't want it to be too long . The petite was perfect for flat shoes if I wore the regular length I would have worn heals (I'm 5'2 ) but I was dancing all night so was happy to have ordered the petite and able to wear flats . Loved this dress ! Got tons of compliments !

Gorgeous fit! This was the second choice for me after the first dress I rented didn't fit. It should have been my first choice! I receive d so many compliments and not only was it super comfortable, it's was very flattering!

This was my first rental FYI and was extremely nervous because I had no backup dress and the dress came the day before my event. Thank goodness for all the reviews and pictures I read about this dress because I made a great decision. I ordered this dress for a wedding that I was attending. I usually wear a 14 or sometimes 16 depending if the dress has no give/stretch to it. I ordered both of these sizes and the 16 was wayyyyy too big. I think that if I had the 12 I would have been able to get into it okay also. Definitely runs big. The dress came on time and in a beautiful garment bag. No need to iron or anything just put on and go! Now, I must say that I fell in love with the dress overall. If you have "stuff" to hide this is the perfect dress for you! If you are petite, I would not recommend as this dress would be overwhelming with all the rouching and fabric. The lace at the top was GORGEOUS, and I loved the caped sleeve(which was not uncomfortable btw when dancing and raising arms). I wore a black strapless bra which I had to bring down a bit in the back because it showed a bit, and underwear........well wear what you want! No spanks or special underwear needed! Amazing. The dress is short, but was perfect length for me and I wore the smallest heels in life! I was so comfortable. It does have a small train in the back also, which a lot of people stepped on all night. The dress was great though. I felt beautiful and elegant in it. I would absolutely rent again both rent the runway AND this dress. The ONLY thing I did not like about this dress is that my waist got lost in it. I'm very busty and the bust area was great/comfortable but then it kind of was not tight enough around the waist area and left my middle section looking even bigger than it was. I wished it was tighter in the middle....Maybe the size 12 would have done that for me. Overall though, felt beautiful, NOT SEXY, but classy.

I wore this to a black tie wedding this weekend. It's a good thing I ordered the smaller backup size, because that's the one I ended up wearing. It's super comfortable, and the length was perfect with the shoes I had already chosen. It also works well for bigger-busted people like myself. The dress stayed where it belonged in all places without having to tug or adjust throughout the night. I received compliments for the dress all night long. It's gorgeous!

The dress was beautiful in person. I'm a pear shape so the top was little big for me (my tops are a 14-16 and my bottom is a 16-18). I felt beautiful in the dress. The lace is a lovely touch! I was happy to rent my first run way

I wore this dress to a formal military dinner. I normally wear a size 18 and I'm pretty tall so I opted for the longer gown. The dress hid all my "trouble" areas like my large hips and tummy. Flowed nicely over my curves. I would suggest that anyone that orders this dress to order 1 size smaller. I am slightly smaller up top and the dress kept sliding down on my chest. I would def rent this dress again. I loved it and so did everyone at the event.

This dress fit beautifully! I did have to order a size up from my usual size, but the fit was amazing. It glided over my curves and was so slimming. The WR length fit perfect on my 5'6" height. I received compliments all night with this dress, a definite yes for a formal gala!

This dress was gorgeous and fit like a dream. The only part I wasn't a fan of, was the way the bodice seemed to stop short. It needed a good two more inches because I felt that it did make me look a little short on top. But plus side, I didn't wear a bra, and I felt amazing all night!
