I should have gone with a 6. It was a bit snug around the arms and I wish us was a bit long. All of these would have been solved with a bigger size. -- However, I loved the dress. Had nice weight and flowed nicely! :)

Perfect. But have a 4" in heel ready

Adeam dresses tend to run a bit large and this fits that but the belt helps cinch the waist. I'm a 2 or 4 in most brands depending on how tight the waist and shoulders run and the 2 was roomy on me. I think the confusion other reviewers might have had over the belt was that it comes with the belt threaded the wrong way through the loops so you have to take it out and start over. It should go towards the front of the dress through the loops first, then wrap it around your waist in that x pattern once or twice depending on your preference and then through the D ring to the side. I hope that helps! Otherwise it is a very formal looking dress so not work appropriate. Great for a wedding or other events though. It's also extremely long. I am 5'8" and was wearing 3-4 inch heels and it still left and inch or two on the ground for me. If you're shorter it might not be a good option unless you can figure out how to pin it, though keep in mind it's heavy material. The material was great for an outdoor fall wedding but might be a bit heavy for the middle of summer. Part of the black panels have a neat texture to them. I felt like a star in the dress as it was so unique looking and would rent it again!

GORGEOUS! Another reviewer mentioned she rented it for the office but it was too formal--I agree! I did the same thing but the fabric volume and length make this too formal for an office dress. The height-OH MY-the height. I'm 5'9" and had to wear this with 4" platform heels and it still dragged on the ground (see my pic, that's a towering 6'1" in those heels!). That said, I felt like a goddess. I wore this to the ballet and got compliments from complete strangers. If you're tall, this is an edgy and modern alternative to the traditional formal gown.

The dress was true to size in the body but a bit long in length. Overall it was very comfortable

This dress didn't really wow me. It's not a terrible dress, just a bit plain for the event I needed. The patchwork is interesting. The belt did not come with mine.

Love the way it moves. I'm a pastor and wore at with a collar and was complimented all day on how I looked like a strong warrior woman! Loved it!

This is super long, but let it flow! It moves to beautifully. Well crafted garment with lots of secret details.

I thought I might be able to wear this as a maxi to the office. I could not. This is definitely a dressy dress and I would have given it 4.5 stars because it is too long. I put on my tallest shoes (5" plus 1/2" platform) and the dress was still too long and I start out at 5'6". However, it is so gorgeous and so unique that though I have no occasion to wear it now, I will definitely rent it again for a special occasion.

I'm a size 8/34C, pear shaped. On top I'm an 8, but closer to a 6. On bottom, I'm 8, but really close to a 10! The dress was too large on top (I probably could have gotten away with wearing it. The bottom fit well. Unfortunately, the dress was too long. I'm 5'8 and with 3 inch heels the dress was dragging on the floor. I imagine that's how it's supposed to be, but that doesn't work for me...I'd be stepping/tripping on it all night. This didn't work for me, which makes me sad cause the dress is beautiful.

Too big for me in general, was a last second addition when my first choice couldn't arrive in time. Ordered too big but even then it was at least 8 inches too long even with heels. Less dressy, more artsy and unique. Doesn't photograph the way it looks in person.

The fit was good, but the dress was a good for invited too long even with 3 inch heels.

I didn't end up wearing this dress, which had been sent as a substitute for a dress that didn't ship. The dress is extremely long and has a pretty full skirt. I didn't figure out how to tie the rope that creates the waist accent.

I'm a Curvey, athletic build. This did nothing for my shape. The fit was slightly large - especially though the mid section. Beautifully made. Couldn't figure out the belt and how it was supposed to go. I'm nearly 5'10 and it was quite long on me.

Ran a bit small in the torso/bust and wasn't sure how to attach the belt.
