I bought this dress and finally wore it for the first time. It's definitely dressy so I will probably only wear for special occasions. I love the kimono style and the stripes. It fit very well so I'm happy I ordered my size. It's very heavy though and a lot of fabric, and doesn't travel well. It needed a good pressing before I wore it.

Do not listen to the other reviewers. This dress is cute AF. It's runs a touch small in the waist with no give, so size up. The dress was so comfy and incredibly well-made. The one surprise is that it is heavier than I expected, so it'd be more appropriate for fall/spring than summer.

Really flattering dress, surprisingly easy to wear a bra with. The band has no give so go true to size, I usually wear a 4/6 but they were out so I went with a 2, I ended up wearing it partially unzipped so it would be comfortable, luckily the sleeves hid it

Chic dress to throw over a swimsuit at the pool! Comfortable and easy to get on and off! Usually a medium so I rented a 6 and it was perfect!

I wore this to a black and white themed party. It was perfect and I got a ton of compliments and was told I was best dressed of the night. It’s fitted at the waste and everything else flows. Very fun dress. I’d absolutely rent again!

Loved this dress so much. It was a little tight on my rib cage but everywhere else it’s loose and comfy.

I got so much compliment on wearing this. I'm quite short 5'4" with narrow hip. Even though it was at my ankle level that I had to grab the skirt when I was walking up and down the stairs, this dress makes me looks flattering

This dress is a statement piece! You can dress it up or down. I feel elegant wearing it and it’s so comfortable! From heels to sandals, it is a perfect dress!

This is not for short people. Could easily feel swallowed up in this with a different body type but worked well for me, slim athletic build, 34D. Received a ton of compliments and felt great in it. If you are wide in rib cage, probably need to size up because there is no stretch to where it zips up.

Wore this to a work event. It's a lot of material and snug at the waist. Loved it. Will wear it again. It's the perfect evening maxi.

I originally got the size 8 but I have a large chest (not boobs, the ribs underneath the boobs!) and there is no give in the cinched waist, which hit at the bottom of my ribcage, so it was too tight. Size 10 fit great. Absolutely loved this dress. There's a lot of fabric and it's quite a statement (someone said think Moira Rose, which sounds just right!) but it also manages to be discreetly sexy with the low back and front. Got a ton of compliments wearing it. I'd definitely rent again, but it's not an everyday dress (though I imagine this cut in a light cotton would be a super summer everyday dress) as the fabric is very high end, heavy and has a sheen. Couldn't really wear a bra under it, or at least I didn't have one that would have worked.

Lots of fabric, but super cute drapey dress. Paired with wedges to give me some more height. Could have sized down, but only a 10 was available so I gave it a shot. I’m usually a true 8. I got a lot of compliments. The tie in the back was tricky, but I just knotted it. The snaps under the arm wouldn’t stay but it wasn’t noticeable. Would wear again!

I knew from the reviews I would love or hate this dress because of my height and build. I'm short, compact, and hourglass. I loved the way this dress felt, moved, and draped. It feels modern and vintage at the same time, it did have a lot of fabric but the quality and vertical lines just worked for me. I wore it to an art crawl and I received compliments all night at every stop. I also wore to work beforehand. I know it is probably a little campy for work but I work in luxury senior living; my seniors LOVED IT and went on and on about it. I can't wait to wear it with yellow accents, red...and so on.

Pockets, pockets, pockets 3. Fabric felt amazing, it’s a heavier feel but breathable, and flowy 4. Nautically fashionable which I love 5. The sleeves set it off 6. Deep front and back accents add a touch of sexy, for this playfully demure ensemble 7. Wear it with heels, sneakers, belts, variations of colors 8. I personally felt amazing in it and it showed. Clearly i love it!!! You will too.

I got so many compliments on this dress just walking down the street - that has never happened to me! This dress was work appropriate and great for everyday, but the shape and material felt so luxurious and expensive. The strap in the back that keeps the shoulders up loosens up unless you tie it in a knot, but overall I would rent this dress again.

It is pretty modest so depends on what you are looking for, but it was a great dress and perfect for what I needed it for.

I absolutely loved this dress! It was stunning and soooo comfortable. It fit me really well and I didn't feel "swallowed" in it like some others. Just overall a great piece.

I wore this to a work function and received so many compliments. The fabric is heavier than I thought, so it was warm for a summer day. Length, cut and fit were all TTS and the boldness of the stripes made it stand out against other work-style attire.

I've never had more compliments from strangers on a dress in my life — people were stopping me in the street. I wore it to a broadway show and then again for my engagement celebration. The dress is gorgeous and high quality, but it is definitely best for someone taller or with a larger frame. It's a lot of fabric and runs large.

I mostly wear size 4 dresses, sometimes size 6. Rented a 4 in this. It was definitely snug in the waist, but wearable. Lots and lots of beautiful fabric makes this dress surprisingly warm. Depending on event, I either wore it as is or I put on a black cami, as it's pretty open in the chest. Wore to a theater opening because it felt artsy.

I loved the styling of this dress and the way the material laid, it was gorgeous! The front is a little too booby for work so had to tape it but still felt justttt a little scandalous so warning on that! Nevertheless, rent this dress!

I was a bit hesitant when I tried it on, but after styling, I loved! Got quite a few compliments, but the snap buttons under the armpits kept wanting to pop open. Wasn’t too tight, as there’s lots of extra fabric, they just wouldn’t stay closed :(

I rented this for a beach vacation, thinking it would be robe-like & I could throw it over my swim suit for poolside glamour. It’s REALLY more of a dress though, with a lining, zippers, & hooks. So I wore it out to dinner instead, & received compliments! Definitely worked well with my height (almost 6ft). There is a lot of fabric, so I would not recommend for someone petite.

Should have ignored the reviews about the waist being snug.. I rented a 2 and made it work but I needed a 0. Yes, there are layers, but it lays nicely, kimono style, w/pleats & pockets. Very low cut. It’s light but I could see it being too warm if you run hot. I wore it on a boat a late dinner in September & it was perfect. Would rent again

Has these annoying snaps on top of the side zipper under the arm sleeve. Very difficult to snap and always unsnapping when moving. These snaps are useless and don't know why they have them. Wore the dress backwards for half the day and only realized when it went to use the pockets, lol. Swung it around and realized the crossover top is very revealing and would need pinned closed. So I guess you can wear it backwards for less of the v cut but pockets would be hard to use ;)

Fits curves well and can dress up or down. I liked better with a belt

I loved this dress but just not so much on me! I have an hourglass figure and it made my hips look bigger than they are - I may try a size smaller in the future. It has pockets FTW!

I am and was obsessed with this dress, but found it hard to find the right occasion for. As others have said, it's best for taller ladies (I'm 5'4" and there was a looot of dress). I brought it on vacation thinking I could wear it to a fancy dinner but it always felt like a little too much. Eventually wore it to dinner and an outdoor movie (then ice cream, pictured) in NYC, for which it was altogether too fancy but I didn't care. It gives "glam Jedi referee" but I love it. Also, pockets.

Did not wear out, but love the look. I'm 6.5 months pregnant & it didn't zip all the way, but the sleeves are dramatic enough to cover the side zip/buttons. I could've made that work, unfortunately, the torso is incredibly long. When the front is pulled up, the back bunches up; when the back is set properly, the front drops down to unwearable depths. If the torso weren't so long, this would've been such a beautiful dress for a fun weekend out, a nice dinner, or formal enough for a wedding.

Really like this! The kimono sleeve makes it seem oversized, but the waist doesn't have stretch so order your true size. The fabric is silky and really luxe.

Should my accessory be a lightsaber or chopsticks? Honestly. Part of me felt like I stepped off the set of Star Wars while another part felt like I was giving off Japan/kimono vibes. Ahh! The waist fit too snug. The top fit too large. The fabric was heavy. I wish it would've worked, but it just didn't.

...alas this is a pass for me. Too big for my petite frame and for some reason the inner lining is longer than the outer layer (probably just this particular piece since I'm not seeing it in other reviews?)

Felt like I was swimming in a little too much fabric. The fit around the waist was good, but the front was low and the material was a lot.

Material was nice, but there was so much of it. I felt like I was drowning in this dress. Would be great for someone taller to wear to brunch, but it was not for me (didn't wear it).
