I was over 7 months pregnant when I rented this dress for a Christmas party. It's actually a slip with a lace cover. The entire outfit gave plenty of stretch and was beyond comfortable. Absolutely Adorable!!! Due to the pregnancy, my weight was closer to 170, and all of it is in my belly!

I'm usually a medium, but bought this during the sample sale in a small. Fit me well, not tight at all. Liked how the slip dress underneath is separate form the sheer layer.

I loved this one so much! It's two pieces - a plain black slip and a lace overlay. Both pieces are so light which was great for summer but going to the theatre so still wanted to look nice. I opted to not wear a bra though you could easily wear a strapless one. It wasn't super tight and fitted around the mid section which I liked.

I wore this to an awards ceremony. I wear a 10 and wore the Large. The slip dress did fit a little loose but you couldn't tell. It was cool and comfortable.

This fit perfectly. It maybe was an inch shorter than I would've preferred, but it put me outside of my comfort zone and I got zone of compliments. It was a little tattered at the ends, but it was fine.

Extremely comfortable for a lbd. Dress is two parts - an under slip and the lace overlay. Really beautiful and i got lots of comments. The lace is very fine though so I am not sure this will hold up over many wears. But the one I got was new

This dress is TWO parts. The slip is actually very flattering. But overall the dress itself is stretchy. I usually run between an XS and a S (0 or a 2) and I went with the extra small. This dress is more of a up-do hair style dress because of the high neck. It's super fun & easy to dance in! Not too formal. I am 125lb, B cup & 5'4".

This dress was cuter than i thought. It was very breezy and alittle on the short side. If you wear a long coat with it, it will ride up alottttt. The lace is so soft and the sleeves are beautiful details.

First of all, shoutout to RTR customer service! The day before my dress was scheduled to arrive I noticed that it was still processing and hadn't shipped. I contacted them and they immediately overnighted me my dress and back-up size to make sure I had it in time for my event. I was soooooo thankful they acted so quick and fixed the situation. As for the dress, well I wore it to a steampunk/gotchic wedding and it was perfect. Super comfy and fit true to size. Paired it with tights and black booties.... and some hot pink hair to add to the attire. Arms were poofy but that worked with the theme. Even if it wasn't a themed wedding, it'd be a fun dress for a fun party or unique event. I was glad I found this, it was inexpensive and an easy to wear dress. Another Rent the Runway success!

This was my first time renting and I had it sent to a hotel for an out of town wedding. It arrived perfectly on time and worked perfect for the wedding. I didn't bring a back up dress so I had my fingers crossed the dress worked, and it did! I usually wear a small but the underlay was a little bit big under the armpit area. The XS worked best.

I rented this dress for a wedding I attended. Love this dress!! Fits perfectly. Very silky light material. Very very comfortable. I can see myself renting this dress again.

Beautiful little black dress! Loved the sleeves, and the small detail. The dress was initially staticky when I removed from the packaging. Dress comes in 2 parts had to spray both parts. Dress runs big to me. A few times, when I was sitting, I noticed my bra was showing. Thank goodness it was black lol. The straps on the slip were a bit hard to make tighter

Loved this dress. Perfect for a winter/holiday party! The slip was a little big up top so if you have your own slip I would definitely recommend wearing your own. Felt very slimming and comfortable

This was fine for my work holiday party. I had to wear the L because although the medium fit, it was too short! Loved the lace overlay and the bell sleeves which still worked for my long arms!

I loved the design of this dress but it fit a little bigger on me even though I was wearing the XS. So I had to style it with a belt so it looked better. I'm 5'1" and the dress was just right above the knee. Also, it's two dresses in one, first you put on the black slip dress and then on top you wear the sheer one.

This dress was really cute, but I couldn't tell if it ran large or if mine was just on its last legs of a rental cycle and stretched out, as the slip was huge and the outer lace shell was pilling all over, especially where your purse usually rests. It was kind of lumpy on bottom because it was a little loose, and that's never an issue on bottom for me.

I wasn't in love with this dress but I would say I got tons of compliments. I think part of it was it was a bold flashy dress I just didn't love the flash it was offering. Dress ran a bit shorter than I would like, and the sleeves had a seam that felt like a strap was falling, so I was always thinking the black dress underneath was falling off. The puffy sleeves we're puffier than I thought they would be. If that's your style awesome but I thought it was just ok.

I guess I expected a more fitted dress from the image. I got a lot of compliments, but it definitely hangs loose in an awkward way. I'm pretty thin, and generally don't have this issue- but the way it hung on me just hugged my stomach in an aggressively unflattering way. I wouldn't recommend if you're sensitive about that type of fit issue.

I bought this on sale about 2 years ago from RTR, and I've worn it only twice since then. It was a good option for being "Halloweeny" at the office without actually being in costume. The slip is just "okay"; if you have a black slip already that you love, you could wear that instead because the pieces are separate. The lace is the fun part! And it is fun. I'll probably keep it around as a standby Halloween outfit, if nothing else pops up.

I LOVED this dress. The sizing was a little off. I wore the XL slip but the L overlay. The dress was super flattering and looked great with hair up or down. I didn't want to return the dress!

Glad I didn't go with my gut on this one. I ordered both the medium and the large. The large was slightly big, but the medium was perfect. It was more fitting and showed my curves. :)

It was an amazing dress. It wasn’t too tight, but the black slip was snug. It hugged all the right places and made me look and feel great.

This fit well and was so pretty. I loved wearing it. Also really comfortable, lots of give. It was a little difficult to make the sheer overlay stay put on top of the shell. Because of that it wrinkled up a little more than I would have liked. But still worth the rental.

I loved this dress as did everyone else. Great fit, style, length.

This is one of my fav rentals! It was beautiful and the exact look I was going for. It fits true to size. I would recommend sizing down for back up since it has a lot of stretch in the fabric and slip. It was perfect for NYE in length, fit and style. I didn't have any issues and received compliments all night.

I wore the size small, I could have used the XS, but the dress was still beautiful. I'm 5'1 and I usually wear a 0-2. The sleeves were perfect for a chilly night. I loved the adjustable straps of the slip.

Cute polka dot dress! A bit short, but still ok to wear to a formal event.

This dress is two parts and fits true to size but it was so short on me. I decided not to wear because after just walking around my room in the dress I realized it definitely wouldn't work for a night out. I'm 5'9" so take that in to reference when looking to rent. Again, great dress but maybe not meant for taller girls!

Runs very large, but it's comfortable and forgiving.

The black slip underneath was a little simple and I ended up only wearing the lace top later with a black bodysuit and high waisted jeans and loved it better as a top than as a dress!

Comes in two pieces-- the slip and the lace overlay. the slip is flattering and the lace overlay is a little baggy under the arms, but otherwise really cute.

It comes in 2 pieces - the lace is very fragile and does dang if you aren't careful. Loved the details but it moved around quite a bit.

I really loved the way this looked online but when I got it I was disappointed with the fit. I ordered it to wear at a wedding. Knowing that I would be bustin' a move throughout the night, I knew I couldn't wear this dress. It was just entirely too short. Also, the arms were extremely tight with unforgiving material. It just didn't work for my body.

The model in the dress must have most of the sleeve material tucked behind her arm. I felt like I could fly away with these goofy sleeves. The rest of the dress fit great but I couldn't handle the sleeves.

This was a replacement when an item I ordered wasn't available. It's not my style, so I didn't wear it. This is a slip with a mesh overlay. The slip was extra large on the sides around the bust (I'm a 36D) and the arms of the dress were very lose. I would suggest using your own slip with the mesh if you rent this dress.
