I am 5'7" and I got the long, I would have been okay with the regular length, but I always wear tall shoes. Some of the reviewers said they were glad they ordered the long, and I probably would have been okay with the regular length, but the long fell right at the right place with my 5.5 inch heels. I got several compliments on the dress and thought it was very flattering on my figure. It definitely accentuates your butt, so if that is something you want to draw attention to, this is a great dress.
