I wear between a size 6-12 depending on the designer. Before I rented this dress, I looked up the official Monique Lhuillier sizing and determined that I should fit a size 8 comfortably, according to the sizing chart on her website. I therefore ordered a size 8L and 10L for my friend's wedding and lets just say... Thank God I ordered the size 10! While I could barely breathe in the size 10 and while the built-in corset gave me two bruises, I am so happy that I chose to wear this dress. It was beautiful and despite feeling a little uncomfortable at times (as you can see, sometimes the dress drug in to my chest/underarm area), I don't regret my decision at all. I do, however, wish that I had known that the dress was so incredibly heavy. The fabric is warm and would be perfect for a fall/winter/strictly indoors wedding but made me very hot during the 86 degree, sunny summer day that I wore it outside. I would recommend this dress and RTR for any special occasion. It was such an ease to work with this company and I will be renting again!
