The dress fit overall true to size. I am very tall at 6'1" and the XL length was perfect. I even wore 3 1/2' heels. The dress was very comfortable the only less than perfect thing was that the top was a little bit large on me but I do have a smaller chest so it was nothing that a well-padded bra and the double sided tape that they send with the dress couldn't fix.
