The shiny overlay was a little intimidating, but it was gorgeous. I wore it to a law school formal (Barrister's Ball) and it was perfect, classy, and comfortable. The only issue with this dress is that it's a little short. I'm just over 5'8" and wore 2" heels and it wasn't quite long enough to hit the floor the way you expect dresses to... If you're any shorter though than I am and plan to wear heels, definitely get a long. If you're any taller, plan to wear flats or short heels.
