The fit is true to size. It hides the curves you don't like and creates a focus on your synched waist and bust. I'm 5'4 and I needed to tape up the bottom to fit with my heels, but if you are more comfortable in higher heels it should be fine. The bust wasn't as revealing as I thought it might be, so that was a nice surprise. I opted to curl and pull my hair to one side because the dress is quite flashy. It can appear navy or royal blue depending on the camera, so matching the jewelry is a bit difficult, but I opted for a chunky, but open silver bracelet and sparkled stud style earring (from the Vera Wang collection at Kohls). At first your arms will feel a bit scratchy against the material when they connect under your arms, however, during the night I barely noticed it and was glad I chose this dress. Overall it was a great experience, but like I said go buy some fashion tape if you're short like me or get some taller heels.
