I wore this beauty to my friends wedding and received so many compliments all night long! The dress fit beautifully. I wore very high heals since I am so short, but even though the dress touched the floor it wasn't to cumbersome to walk in. I was told this dress was the Ferrari of dresses that night!! I think that sums up how this dress looks! Stunning! Thanks again RTR!

I wore this for my Great Gatsby themed prom and absolutely loved it.  Pictures don't do it justice, it was incredibly gorgeous.  It wasn't itchy and fell very nice.  I'm 5'8" and it worked great for taking pictures without shoes as well as wearing a couple inch high heels.

I loved this gown but unfortunately I didn't get my complete order. They sent me the 2L but not the 4L which is what I planned on wearing. I somehow squeezed into the 2L and wore it just fine but the 4L would've fit better in the bust area. Besides that this dress was unbelievably gorgeous and actually very comfortable!! I wore it to a black-tie wedding at the Ritz Carlton and got many compliments. In the end I didn't want to return it!

I border between a 4 and a 6, but there was only a 4P available for my date. It was a bit short, and for a black tie event I ended up going with my second choice (a black dress), but not after some tough decision making. It was comfortable, beautiful and not too heavy, I just went with the other because this was awkwardly short on my 5'4" frame after I put on 4" heels.

Fit true to size. Zipper was tough to get up without a friend just because of the material the hidden-style zipper had to traverse.  As others have said, the dress is heavier than expected. I could wear a normal bra with it, so that was a plus. The front was shorter than I expected. I didn't think my shoes would be as visible as they were. (I went with nude Patton pumps.) and the back dragged behind a bit in true mermaid style... Which means dodging puddles in the rain.  I wore it for my best friend's wedding as a bridesmaid. We were allowed to choose our own dresses in the long/champagne/gold theme. I lucked out because I rented mine - I spent the least and looked the best! 

Very comfortable for how detailed this dress is. Love how intricate the sequins and style of the dress complimented my body type.

This dress  fit very well. I wore a 4 inch heel but probably could have worn a slightly lower one.   The fabric portion on the neckline pulled oddly so I did end up wearing a push up bra to fill it out a bit more, but I don't think I needed too. 

Beautiful dress, would have worn it if it was just 2-3 inches longer. I called to order the long but it was out. Really beautiful though!

This dress is stunning!!! I got compliments all night. Although I could have worn either the 0 or 2, I wore the 0L because of the length with heels. 
I would totally recommend this dress to anyone for a formal occasion.

It's an amazingly beautiful dress! I kept getting compliments all night long from people I know to be stingy with compliments! I only had one option, 2R, for the weekend I needed. I scoured the reviews and I found that it may work. It turns out that it does! However, it's really long. I'm 5'3" and wore 4" heels. As you can see from the photo, the dress was barely sweeping the floor, so people kept stepping on it. If I had the option for a petite size, I would have taken it. It turns out that the dress was perfect! It was not too tight and not too loose. It's heavy because of all the sequins, but it moves really nicely.  I like the fit and the fact that I could wear a regular bra underneath. That really makes this a beautiful but COMFORTABLE dress. I wish I didn't have to return this dress...

Rent the Runway was so helpful. All the bridesmaids for my sister's wedding ordered gold dresses from this site. They sent me the dress I ordered but in the wrong color. They immediately overnighted me this new dress. It was better than the original that I had picked out and it came the night before the wedding. They saved the day. Thank you Rent the Runway!

I recommend you rent this dress early in advance.  I needed the 0R but the only had 2R and 4R in stock.  The 2 looked great, but if I were to buy this dress I would have got the 0.  This dress is very comfortable and the material is stretchy underneath.  Can't say enough about how fabulous this dress is!  I paired it with a 4in Christian Louboutin metallic strappy sandal and the length was perfect!

This dress was absolutely incredible. I cannot even count how many people, other guests or complete strangers, came up to me and told me how beautiful I looked. I felt a little bad for wearing it to a wedding because one lady said I looked so amazing that the bride must be jealous! Seriously, a showstopping, head-turning, gown. I ordered the 2 and the 4, and ended up going with the 2 which fit very comfortably. It was a little long, once I took off my heels I had to be careful not to trip over it. If you want to be the best dressed and center of attention, I highly recommend it!!

The dress fit like a glove and I received so many compliments. Multiple guests of the black tie wedding approached me and told me I had the best dress of the evening. I didn't want to give it back! Pictures do not do this dress justice, it is incredible. 

Fit was perfect. The dress is a little bit heavy with all the sequence but well worth the Wow factor! Used a little double sided tape to secure the neckline. Worked very nicely.

The fit was true to size.  The color of the gown and the intricate beading was absolutely gorgeous.  However, I did find that the beading would sometimes catch to itself at the hem, other than that the dress is perfect and I would recommend it for any special occasion.  The dress was comfortable and moved beautifully.  I received many compliments all night and I would absolutely rent this dress again.

This was my backup dress because my first choice was too big. This dress runs true to size- I wore a 4R and I am 5 ft 4 in and about 115 lbs. The 2R probably would have fit me better, but only the 4 was available.  It was a little large on top (I'm a 32/34 A). The length was actually perfect for me- I wore three inch heels with the gown.  I will definitely be using rent the runway again!

I'm petite so, it dragged a little, dress is heavy. However, it was worth it! 

I am 5'2" 118lbs and have an athletic build  (thicker legs.) I did not receive the 0, so had to wear the 2R, which fit great but I think I could have worn the 0R. The dress is long. I had to wear 5 inch heals and it still had a little bit of a train. When you put it on you will find a way to make the length work. The dress is gorgeous. I didn't find the weight of the dress to be too heavy to where I noticed it once it was on. Super comfortable!

I absolutely loved this dress!  This was my first time using RTR and I will say that it won't be my last. The dress was extremely comfortable and very beautiful in person.  I rented this dress for my Mardi Gras Ball and was able to dance all night in it as it had more give than I imagined.  I was really nervous about choosing a size however having so many other reviews and pictures to base my decision on made it so much easier!  Thank you RTR!

I was a little nervous about how it was going to fit, but it honestly fit like a glove. If it didnt though, I was so happy that it came with another size. The v was a little deep and since I have 34D-DD boobs, it was a little revealing. I wore 4.5 inch heels and the length was perfect. 

There was a mishap where the size I ordered (2R) was returned to RTR damaged beyond repair so they couldn't ship me out a new one and so I just got my extra size which I ended up wearing (the 4R). There was a little too much fabric in the chest/shoulder area and it was loose-fitting through the waist/hips, but my sister (the bride) wanted me to wear this, and I could not deny this dress once I put it on!! I ended up using some bra inserts to give me a little lift and because of the room in the hips the dress was super comfortable! I cannot possibly count all of the compliments I got on this dress it is a show-stopper for sure.  Love love love and will look for any excuse to wear it again! 

Although more formal than most other NYE party dresses, this dress stood out as elegant and beautiful.  It's flattering, comfortable and allows a regular bra.  You don't need to bother with spanx!
At 5'6 and 1/2", I wore heels (but not platforms) and it skimmed my toes in front, leaving about a 2 inch train.  I received compliments (primarily from women!) all evening.  This is a must-rent!

This dress is gorgeous!  I wore it to a NYE ball and while most of the women were wearing short cocktail dresses I was happy I wore this gown.  I had countless people stop me to say how beautiful it was.  I could have worn the 2R except for the chest area.  It squeezed me a little more than I would like so I went with the 4R.  I had to wear 6 in heels in order to prevent too much dragging, although the dress still touched the floor.  It's a bit longer in the back which made it really easy to walk in without stepping on.  We danced for hours and had no issues with the dress.  The color is definitely more in the brown family while I had originally thought it had some silver tone to it based on the pics.  There is no silver at all.  I would recommend this to anyone!  LOVE RTR!!  In fact, all my table mates at the ball wanted to know all about RTR!

Have never received so many compliments on a dress in my life.  It was also completely comfortable to wear all night.  It runs slightly big so if you're between sizes I would size down.  I'm usually a 0-2 and the 0R fit perfectly.  If you have a black tie occasion you should 100% rent this.  

I thought the fit was pretty true to size.  It is a gorgeous dress!

I rented this dress to wear for our Christmas card photo session, but with a slight change....I added a denim shirt on top to tone it down where it looked like I was wearing a sequin skirt instead of a dress. The photographer raved about the dress! Great option to be worn alone as a dress or with a jacket/shirt/sweater over for a completely different look! 

I'm obsessed. This dress was every thing I wanted it to be and more! First when you remove it from the bag you're like oh lord this is gonna be heavy, but once it's on you don't feel a thing. The comfort level of a gown like this was insane! Some had said the sequins would rub at times and ladies, I think we've managed to put up with that once or twice for the sake of fashion. Bonus Perk: the gown gives you a killer hour glass figure...hello hips! The intricate detail itself  on the gown is just stunning. It's very different but in the most amazing way. The straps are even wide enough to wear a legit bra under! I got compliments the whole night and I feel that overall it was such a classic look. I would buy this dress and wear it every day of my life if I wasn't a struggling college student, but I guess a one night affair will have to do. 

I had so much fun wearing this dress and got a ton of compliments! I am a 5' 8" -- wore a 4L with 3 inch heels;  it fit perfectly and hit the floor exactly how a gown should. The material is pretty thick so can get a little hot, definitely more of a fall/winter dress.

I got so many compliments on this dress - I felt like I stood out, but in a good way! The fit was perfect, and so flattering. 

Fantastic dress! I received so many compliments throughout the evening! Everyone kept telling me how fabulous I looked and asked where I bought the dress. Renting is way better than buying! It fit perfectly, and I am bigger on the top and straight through the hips. It fit everywhere and gave me an hourglass effect. 
Pros: showstopper dress, well made and  high quality. Not as heavy as people mentioned and the sequence did not bother my arms as it did other reviewers. So different and brings attention, in a good way :)
Cons: seemed a little longer than other Regular length gowns, but I wore 4.5in heels and it just barely brushed the ground. I am 5'3 fyi. 


I wore this for a black tie affair and it was the perfect dress.  All over it made me feel beautiful!
A regular bra can be worn- HURRAH!  I wore 4" heels and the length was perfect.
I would suggest this to anyone who needs a gown and doesn't need to wear a jacket- it would be hard to find one to go with this dress and a shame to cover it up.

This dress is gorgeous, perfect for a black tie wedding! True to size. The fit was fantastic surprisingly comfortable,  it fit perfectly everywhere but the lenght runs short I´m 5´4 and it was a little bit shorter than I expected, but not a big deal. It´s perfect, elegant, unique. 100% recommendable. One more thing: It´s not that heavy! I loved wearing it!

This dress is amazing!  It fit me perfectly and was surprisingly comfortable and easy to move in.  I received so many compliments.  I was sad to have to send it back!

The dress looks beautiful on you! I've wanted to wear RTR dresses to events in Europe, but assumed it wouldn't work with international mail. How did you manage that? 

Thank you! I asked RTR, but they do not ship over seas. Since I was only gone for a week, I actually had to rent it for 8 days, so I just returned in in the states.

I honestly cannot say enough about how incredible this dress was for me. I wore it to a very formal black tie affair in London. I got a million compliments on it from everyone at the event and then from everyone I know who saw pictures. This is hands down the most beautiful dress I've ever worn! It did run a bit large, as I'm usually a 2 or 4 and I was a 2. I'm also 5'7" and the length was perfect with 3 inch heels. A long would have been too long.
