This dress can be worn with the straps over the shoulders or across the chest. I tried it both ways and the vote was that the straps looked better across the chest. The clasp didn't want to stay closed, so I did safety-pin it from the inside to keep it together and it wasn't noticable. The tag also wanted to flop out, but fashion tape easily took care of that. The dress is brighter in person than the picture on the model, but I was pleastantly surprised by that and really loved the turquoise color. I got so many compiments on the dress and really had a hard time sending it back. The skirt was so flowy and fun to dance in. I think I have a fairly normal-proportioned body, soI wouldn't recommend this for someone with a short torso so that there isn't extra fabric above the waist.
