It fit exactly as described. I wore Spanx just to feel a little more comfortable with the fit since it is so form fitting, but I probably could have gotten away without wearing them. I got tons of compliments on the dress. I will say have a smaller chest and I would have felt self conscious if I had a larger chest, but that's just me. It also is slightly shorter than I usually wear but I still felt comfortable walking, dancing, etc.
